HSDK ending

Well, its been a rather good run, in my own opinion.

A part of me is disappointed because I liked the series. And there is also relief that HSDK isn't going to end up like Naruto and Bleach that make you wish the author had the guts to just end the series.

Now I am curious about the authors next series.

My understanding is there is to be three special one shot mangas in November for HSDK... and that is it. I would not mind more anime of it, but oh well...

Mixed feelings myself on it. I quite liked the characters, but the plot I started to dislike more and more about 1/2 way through. It was to the point I was reading the series in chunks a couple months or so apart, not bothering with weekly updates. I actually stopped at 570 a few months back and read the last 13 chapters in one go.

There were several particularly common items in the series that downright annoyed me.

Favorite characters in no particular order Kenichi, Kisara, Freya, Chikage, Shigure.

I'm still half of the belief that Kenichi was set up by at least some of the masters to that the heat off Miu and act as a distraction... but that is not really backed by anything in canon, just a feeling I've had for a long time.

Favorite fan fiction using it is probably 'Honor Thy Masters' by gabriel blessing, though not too fond of the ending, felt needed another chapter.

Manga wise this puts me at a bit of a crossroads, the only two left I follow have not really seen much in way of updates. I've been tempted to pick up either High School of Dead or the other series by the same people.
