Arcturus Prime, CMC Research Installation: Prometheus
Bio-Research Lab 13: Project Dante

He could sense movement nearby, blurred and indistinct.

The liquid around him bubbled and gurgled in his ears as he wondered what was happening. It was difficult to move, though he could still breathe easily.

Memories that didn't make sense was all he had other than the ones of the tank in which he now waited within.

Darkness had taken him after that odd egg had opened like a four pointed star and the thing within had grabbed him.

It had been an eternity of eternities before his mind had returned to find him encased within a wall, watching unholy horrors prowling about.

Then was when the pain had begun, almost like the descriptions of what a heart attack was from the docs.

Blood trickled from his lips as he screamed in pain while his chest started to expand, ribs cracking as the thing within him forced its way out of his chest.

The monster was like those milling about, he noticed as he felt his life fading and th creature let out a cry of its own just as the end came.

The memories kept flowing through his thoughts as he wondered just how he had gotten here.

And in the deepest recesses of his mind, he felt something there. The monster of those memories, though many, many more.

Observation Turret: Central Hive

The sealed chamber below them was full of them, the alien bio-weapon known as Internecivus raptus.

They had learned quickly that they could not escape the massive complex they were allowed in as the scientists studied the abominations that they had found.

It had been easy at first to produce them when they had located a derelict ship in orbit of a dead world. After a few early accidents that had been contained within the labyrinth that now held the hive, they had used convicts sentenced to death on the various colony worlds to grow these monsters.

Now the creatures seemed almost bored as they watched the watchers.

He watched from behind the barricade, pacing back and forth within his cell.

These pests had managed to entrap him with gas only for him to retain consciousness within a cage.

His gear was gone and if he could not escape and extract his revenge, so was his honor.

Yes, he decided, if given the chance, these fools would pay dearly.

Tech-Research Lab 2: Artifact Testing

Doctor Jason Blake worked on one of the new pieces of equipment taken from the vault. In fact it was one of the pieces taken from the something similar to the new capture.

His eyes lit up in delight as the gauntlet lit up.

He had no way of knowing that the device's tamper protection had merely activated because of his inept handling.

And then the countdown ended in a shockwave that shook the entire installation after ending his life in a fraction of a second.

Doctor Blake would be one of the lucky ones in the end.

Access Point Beta: Central Hive

They came like a sea of obsidian and razor sharp teeth, swarming over the reacting guard posts like ants out of a kicked nest. It took just over a minute before the blazing weapons were silenced with shrieks as the gunners were ripped to shreds by the monsters they had been ordered to contain.

Almost as one the swarm continued through the access tunnels with a singular purpose as drips of saliva sizzled on contact with the tunnel itself.

The lights flickered and the building shook.

He reached out to touch the electrified barrier that had held him and found nothing resisting him.

The Yautja roared as it slammed through the grating, tearing pieces of the cage from the wall to grab the guard as he turned to face him with a mighty bellow of victory.

It paused a moment, ripping the humans knife from its sheath and forced the door open while alarms began to play.

North Security Hallway

Private Jarod Noah retreated as the xenomorphs hit the barricades almost like a flood.

The pulse rifle he wielded bucked slightly as he fired into the creatures with wild abandon as one of them cleared the barricade and pounced one of the other marines before being ripped to pieces by weapons fire that sprayed the acidic blood of the beast on the doomed marine.

The screams filled the hallway as the makeshift defenses collapsed and the swarm came at them like a veritable sea of death.

"Fall back!" Jarod heard a semi-familiar voice order as he flipped the selector to arm the grenade launcher of the weapon.

Fire in the hole," he stated slowly, sending one of the explosives into the swarm, hoping that any of the wounded would die as well as these monsters.

He felt he owed them a clean death rather than what these fuckers would do to them.

His remaining comrades had joined him in the elevator as the grenade detonated, them rising away, hoping that something would end the nightmare they had found themselves in while the groups medic tended acid burns on the few injured members of the group.
