Nasuverse Idea for an odd story.

Here's a idea that is kinda odd. It came to me in a flash of insanity.

Another Fate/Stay Night idea.

At the end of the 4th holy war, Kiritsugu, Kotomine and Gilgamesh are all splashed with the "tainted" water of the grail. When servants are splashed, it gives them "cursed" flesh.

What if this transformed Gilgamesh into a 5 year old and erased his memory? He's found by Kiritsugu after finding Shirou. Shirou and Gilgamesh grow up as brothers.

Couldn't focus on anything until I got this crap outta my head. Have fun losing your sanity just contemplating this one. :snigger:

Problem with that idea is that servants need mana to sustain themselves. If you're saying that the grail gave Gil a body, and therefore means he doesn't need mana... well, I'm pretty sure that's impossible, at least under those conditions.

Funny thing, if Gilgamesh DID revert to a 5 year old, you wouldn't even need him to lose his memory, as he's actually extremely well mannered as a kid (as shown in Fate/hollow ataraxia when he downed a potion of youth). He'd probably get right along with Shirou.
I know I probably misread the meaning. The Holy Grail is the Einzbern's lost magic, also know as the 3rd magic. The 3rd magic being materialization of the soul. It allows a physical body to be created for a spiritual being. The servants are made in this way but they are not "anchored" in the body. Where as "anchoring" the soul to the body would make them "human".

Am I misunderstanding? Couldn't this "cursed" flesh also cause the soul to become "anchored"? Complex theory/ideas and vague explantions like this sometimes give me trouble.

If you could clear this up for me, I would be eternally grateful. :hail:

Honestly, this type of question is going a little out of my depth. You might be better off going over to the Moonlit World forum and posting some questions there.

However, to my limited knowledge, having the servant granted a 'normal' physical body isn't possible simply through the grail's tainted water (maybe not at all). The servants don't really have a 'physical' body to my understanding, they have a spiritual one that is able to manifest itself physically through mana feed. Although, they can be anchored, they still require a mana feed, as noted by the happy endings of UBW and HF (in which Saber or Rider stayed). In other words, even if Gil was anchored by the grail (which, thinking on it, may actually have been what happened), he would still require a mana to sustain his body.

At least, that's my interpretation. Like I said, you'd probably get a more detailed (and accurate) explanation if you asked at the Moonlit World's forum.
Thanks pointing me in the right direction, F1. :hail: To be honest, I didn't actually think the idea would even be seriously commented on. I'll have to go to those forums and ask around.

To think, I might be able to work out a serious plot from this. (or it could go the comedy route ^_^ )
