Haruka being Kanako's mother can only work in a serious story. Why? Haruka should have been 12 or 13 when Kanako was born.

Idea: Keitaro goes back in time and marries some woman, they have a kid and Keitaro decides to name it after one of the Hinata girls (any one is fine). It isn't until he gets back to the present that he relizes that he didn't name his daughter after them he named them himself.

If the girl in question is his adopted sister, Kanako, that makes it even creepier.

OK, using the Kanako example: Keitaro gets sent back to the past. He meets a woman, falls in love with her, and marries her. They have a daughter, whom he names Kanako, after his adopted sister. at some point thereafter, he returns to the present, possibly due to whatever sent him into the past having a Zeta-Beam-like effect. Once in the present, he goes to look up his wife, only to find that she died some time after he vanished, and their daughter was adopted by the Urashima family. As a slight alternative, one of the girls, Motoko, for example, is sent to the past with him, and both of Kanako's parents vanished that day.

New idea that struck me the other day.

AU/Fusion malarkey.

Keitaro is the manager/landlord of the Hinata Sou Inn and Hot Spring, right?

Well, Keitaro didn't want that role, he wanted to follow his own dreams of Toudai and promise girl.

So far, so canon.

Here's where it starts to get interesting/crappy:

Keitaro has had to abandon his dreams. Not only that, but things aren't going well with the Inn. He hasn't had any guests for weeks, and his friends have all left town.

Depression is beginning to set it.

During the cleaning of a room, he finds something valuable and decides to sell it for repairs/renovation of the Inn.

But here's the twist - the Inn isn't in Tokyo - it's on the planet Tenrei and the item Keitaro found was a Caster Gun.

Yes, an Outlaw Star cross-fusion-thingy.

On the way to a pawn shop/antique dealer, Keitaro finds himself being taken hostage and dragged off to a spaceship, with the bandit planning to toss him out the airlock.

Only when he's on the ship does he recognise the bandit's associate - it's his cousin/aunt Haruka and the hostage taker was Kanako.

A few choice words are said, accusations fly and they're forced to leave.

One idea that did come to me was Tsuruko "Twilight" Aoyama and her plucky apprentice & sister, Motoko.

After that, I've got no idea, other than it's LH set in the OS universe, with few characters crossing over.

Comments/thoughts/suggestions/demands/offers of sexual favours?

so in this AU the Inn was still an Inn, and not a space dorm for girls?

Old idea, but it has enough for at least a one shot.

If the girl he goes to the past with is a hinata girl, that's interesting.

If it's Motoko, then that means that Kanako is crushing on her brother, who's really her father, while molesting a fellow resident, who's also her mother.

It's like double-incest.

If its a crack tale, then how about the girl he marries in the past is a Future version of Kanako who has traveled to the past 'after' Keitaro did.

So now she's crushing on her brother, who's also her father, who's also her husband, and she herself is her own mother and her own child.

That's combo-breaker incest.

Edit: to the extreme would be:

After keitaro Left to go back to the 'future' from the past, She was forced to fake her own death and assume another identity. she ends up standing in for Haruka, who had died in a accident overseas.

The kicker? Keritaro had to do the same thing, so he assumed the role of a certain archeologist.

So now Keitaro is also his own mentor, married to his cousin, who is really his adoptive sister, his daughter, and his future wife.

Kanako, meanwhile, is her own mother and child, who's in love with her brother, whose also her cousin, who's also her father, who's also her future husband.

That's turtles all the way down incest.

*Ahem* As amusing as that would be *IF* possible, I, being one of those kinds that doesn't like time travel as a plot device am forced to say that it would be an immense bear to read GETTING to that point, but if done well, could be worth reading after I threw up about the bad science...

Nothing really impossible about that, considering that's what happened to begin with. Kanako was always her own mother, even before she went back in time.

True, so ether shes ignorant of his true identity when they do the deed, she knows it him but doesn't know hes her father, or shes just really, REALLY creepy.

Of course, writing her paranoid as hell during the pregnancy, fearing shes cause herself to not be born, get birth defects, etc, would be hilarious, if somewhat macabe.

Of course, i'm not sure how she'd know shes carrying herself in the first place.

A lot of everyone's fretting over Shinobu and Kaolla being too young for Keitaro are forgetting something. In most Prefectures of Japan the legal age of consent is 14 to 15, and only a few are 16 or 18. Stories that have underage relationships have been published and were best sellers. Where do you think the word "Lolita" comes from? It was the title of a critically acclaimed and best selling novel.

So feel free to let your inner Pedobear loose. :D

I think the whole age thing is bullshit anyway. If love is involved then nobody should have the right to interfere. Especially the government. I'm not condoning sex with children, there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, but if a 14 year old girl falls for an 18-20+ year old boy he shouldn't be sent to jail for returning those feelings. That in my opinion is a crime against common sense and sanity.

Thus ends my rant.

Oh, also, in the anime/manga world Incest only works if you're from Jurai.

Robert A. Heinlein called, he said to stop ripping off "All You Zombies".

Kanako comes to the Hinata-sou before Keitaro's six-month oversea trip, accompanied by her personal harem of guys similar to Keitaro, wishing to add Keitaro to the ranks of her harem since it was her infatuation with him that made her gather this harem in the first place.
