Iron Fic 14--Just as Planned

Nothing is better than a plan that comes off without a hitch.?

Even when things are FUBAR'd though, the plan may still be carried out.? If a rival takes advantage of the situation, clever planners work them into their plans (or, did from the start!)

This topic is about successful plans.? Note that this does not mean "perfect" plans--a plan might be carried out successfully, and ruin the planner (manpower, resources, etc.).? And of course, there's always the need to be careful of getting what you want.

Lastly, last-minute one-upmanship is fine.? The main character being out-gambitted is a perfectly acceptable outcome--and, after all, one man's failure is another's success.
Notes: Judges needed. Come on, people, give me a hand.

IF14 runs from 12 noon PST Saturday the 29th to 12 noon Sunday the 30th PST.

I'll judge if I end up unable to do up an entry.

Possibility against Certainty

My entry, just don't mind my sleep deprived mistagging it as IF12.

And clearly, with THIS entry, I'm not going to be judging this go around. I would appreciate if the judges could post comments and their reviews to tell me what they think.

And Iron Fic 14 is over!

Congrats, biigoh, for being the only person who actually wrote anything.

Change of plans for the new Aluminium Fic - It will start on... Midnight in 12 hours. Look forward to it!

One entry again? *siiiiigh*

Well, I kinda thought it might happen. Still, twice in two? Probably means that contest season is over.

I think it's time to retire IF; just for the school semester.
Having a bit more time might help get more entries.

Some of the themes you have are interesting, but it's rare that I can write on a Saturday.

Eh... it's not the timing. Remember, back when the contest was four hours long, I got many, many entries.

No, the problem is as time goes on, people lose interest. And with school starting, most people will be busy using their Saturdays for R&R, not for fanfiction. The best thing to do is shelve the contest until mid-December, or even to next summer.

Honestly, its usually not that I simply don't write, but I'm usually busy on weekends or wanting to relax, so I really don't have the time. Meaning I get on TFF sunday evening, look at the theme and sometimes go 'man, that would have been a fun one to write for.'

Not to mention, there's another contest going, too. One that's a week long. Having competition isn't always the best thing, especially when you have time to think things out or a small deadline as a choice. Not to mention, the score fiasco probably drove some people off.

And you probably aren't wrong, School restarting is going to cut down on the people willing to write.

It's probobly best to shelve IF and AF. There's no time, with school starting. Just claim that Season 1 is over, have an IF and AF special edition during the school breaks, and start Season 2 when summer's back.

That was the plan, yes.

Well, it's been fun. Also means I have free weekends again...
Erm... free weekends? Seriously, how long does it take to make a prompt and post it online? >_>

Not long. But since my friends tend to do things on Saturday, if I run the contest at, say, noon or two, I can't hang out.

Bad phrasing.

So, in a way I won because I was the only one who entered. Just as planned.
