Wata's scores are here. Shaderic has gone silent, while Left Shoe has been delayed.

Ambush--Iron Ficcer Rooster 455 (Star Wars)
English: 17
Theme: 16
Details: 14
Plot: 16
Opinion: 14
Total: 77

Rooster's short offering was the first done. The Star Wars taste, though not obvious from the first bite, provides background necessary to grasp the dish, though one who, like myself, has never delved into that particular branch of culinary fiction will be left feeling still hungry.

Failure--Iron Ficcer twin blade (Original)
English: 18
Theme: 17
Details: 14
Plot: 14
Opinion: 15
Total: 78

Another small offering, twin blade makes something new for the table. The first bite is much as could be expected, a bitter regret tempered by a sweet broken hope. Minor flaws in the presentation distract from the complexity of the dish and the taster gets the sense that twin blade was trying to cook up a five course meal rather than a single dish, but the aftertaste will stay with you long after you've moved on.

The Price of Freedom--Iron Ficcer Cornuthaum (WH40K)
English: 18
Theme: 17
Details: 15
Plot: 19
Opinion: 19
Total: 88

The last dish, by returning Iron Ficcer Cornuthaum follows his usual pattern: his entry is in bite sized pieces, more snack than full meal, that somehow manage to serve as well as any dish. And what a dish; full and hearty, despite it's small size. Much like Rooster's entry, those unfamiliar with the subject material might be lost; unlike Rooster's enough tidbits are provided that the frame can be imagined independently.

Present and working on it, and being careful not to look at Wata's scores.

EDIT:? Oh, spoilers warning.

Rooster's Ambush

Readability: 20
Use of the theme: 18
Use of details: 16
Story/Plot: 14
Other/personal opinion (general): 16
Total: 84

A bit short, but had the whole
point of view - I liked that.

----------

Corn's The Price of Freedom

Readability: 19
Use of the theme: 12
Use of details: 18
Story/Plot: 18
Other/personal opinion (general): 18
Total: 85

Illustrates once again why WH40K is awesome. And I don't even play! Still not quite sure what happened at the end - did the main character kill the demon, and then it killed him?

----------

twin blade's Failure

Readability: 20
Use of the theme: 16
Use of details: 18
Story/Plot: 14
Other/personal opinion (general): 16
Total: 84

A girl resurrects someone she used to love, but doesn't love him anymore. (Good job avoiding that.) The story kinda shambled around aimlessly, even more so than the main character. Not sure where you were really going with this.

----------

Scores are relative to each other, not Watashiwa's. Man, I'm being a softie today. Also, no happy endings? C'mon, there should've been at least one.

So is the next one next /week/ or....?
Next week, yeah.

And God damn, what the Hell? I've had IF advertised in my sig for the past three weeks.
I generally scroll over sigs, so I completely missed that it was in your sig until you pointed ti out.

And I am kinda interested, but I've been busy with finishing finals and paperwork for the next semester of college that when I noticed this was going on, it was already an hour past the time limit.
I generally scroll over anything Wata says so...

Thanks Tak, I needed that. :)

Seriously, what is wrong with TFF? It's like everything people say is an excuse to start a flamewar, or a direct insult.

EDIT: Oh hey, Left Shoe's scores are up. Cornuthaum is the favorite, and twin blade is ahead of Rooster by one point. Shaderic's scores still have the potential to send this contest any which way!

LAAAATE!
So sorry!
My folk were visiting all weekend, and on monday I had to do laundary and... well, let's just I was busy. SCORES!

Ambush
Solid grammar, I can get what's going on...
Nice, but it doesn't really draw me.
I don't really know 924, so I don't particularily feel any connection here...

SCORE: 80/100.

Failure
... What is this?
I'm confused, but it really draws me in.
Man, TB. You've improved.

No obvious grammar problems, flows a bit weird, but...
Man. It just reads well.
I also approve of the choice for an 'unvoiced' test.

95/100

And that's only because there's some room for growth, and it's a tiny but confusing. I hope to see more work of this quality from you in the future!

The Price of Freedom

Wow.
Nice grammar, and I'm normally not a fan of the 'truths' format, for telling a story. I normally think that they're best for supplementary material, but you did a splendid job.

That said, excellent flow, and it really draws me in.

The only area where you are a bit lacking is theme, actually. I can see it, but only because I'm looking for it.

SCORE
97/100

They are all a little bit high, but I wanted to get them out as soon as possible.

All three score sets are up. Let's see some averages!

Rooster:
77+84+80=241
Average: 80.33

twin blade:
78+84+95=257
Average:85.67

Cornuthaum:
88+85+97=269
Average:89.67

And so, Cornuthaum is the year's first IRON FICCER! Congratulations Cornuthaum, and thank you everyone who participated!
