Ambush--Iron Ficcer Rooster 455 (Star Wars)
English: 17
Theme: 16
Details: 14
Plot: 16
Opinion: 14
Total: 77
Rooster's short offering was the first done. The Star Wars taste, though not obvious from the first bite, provides background necessary to grasp the dish, though one who, like myself, has never delved into that particular branch of culinary fiction will be left feeling still hungry.
Failure--Iron Ficcer twin blade (Original)
English: 18
Theme: 17
Details: 14
Plot: 14
Opinion: 15
Total: 78
Another small offering, twin blade makes something new for the table. The first bite is much as could be expected, a bitter regret tempered by a sweet broken hope. Minor flaws in the presentation distract from the complexity of the dish and the taster gets the sense that twin blade was trying to cook up a five course meal rather than a single dish, but the aftertaste will stay with you long after you've moved on.
The Price of Freedom--Iron Ficcer Cornuthaum (WH40K)
English: 18
Theme: 17
Details: 15
Plot: 19
Opinion: 19
Total: 88
The last dish, by returning Iron Ficcer Cornuthaum follows his usual pattern: his entry is in bite sized pieces, more snack than full meal, that somehow manage to serve as well as any dish. And what a dish; full and hearty, despite it's small size. Much like Rooster's entry, those unfamiliar with the subject material might be lost; unlike Rooster's enough tidbits are provided that the frame can be imagined independently.
