Three things remain above all else--faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.

Nothing in the world is as sacred or mysterious to us as love. Love redeems and love damns. Love sets us free and ties us down. Your challenge in the TFF Winter Olympics month long writing event is to write a love story. This does NOT have to be a romance story. It can be as dark or as syrupy as you like, but it has to center around some aspect of ôloveö.

Possible ôlovesö
-Sibling
-Platonic
-Unrequited
-Romantic
-Familial (Father/son, etc.)
-Love of work or play or hobbies or possessions

10,000 word minimum, this is a challenge! DonÆt be afraid, just do your best and make it delicious!

Some examples that Wata wanted me to put, for clarification reasons:

Love of that special rifle, that served you through a dozen campaigns, always firing true, never jamming, so long as you kept her clean, oiled and by your side.

The disguisting, twisted love that worms it's way into the heart of a slave, used and beaten by their master, and yet safe and well kept. That love that they know shouldn't be there for one such as them, yet it grows nonetheless.

That love that develops between comrades in arms, who have trained, suffered, bled and died, side by side. The knowledge that they will be there, watching your back, the trust and detication to ones who are bonded like brothers and sisters, yet are more intimate with each others lives than lovers.

The community that builds around someone, forging bonds, friendships, rivalries, even casual acquaintances, all build to form that special slice of the world that becomes who you are, and a place you hold dear to you, through the good times and the bad.

I look forward to everyone's entries. Let's make this awesome!
