It's probably written somewhere, but are there limits on levels explicit content such as sex and gratuitious violence?
Entries are to be worksafe. No graphic sex scenes, or descriptions of gore-soaked violence. If it'd get an R rating, tone it down or be very careful. - From this post at the top of the current page.
No, that's not what I mean, well, not most of it. What I meant was the DEGREE of sexual and violent references. I mean, descriptions of brief nudity or implications of a grotesque murder, etc. As in, what is "worksafe" for IRON FIC. Full-blown sex scenes and out-and-out descriptions of hyperviolence aren't allowed, but is there a limit I can ride the "PG Rating" for IRON FIC?

Looking at about twelve hours to the start of the next Iron Fic. I'll be tapping the same judges as last time; let's see if we can get done with judging before the end of the day!
I think Watashiwa needs better qualifications for judges... maybe he should host a PVP Tournament TO THE DEATH for judges~. Just so the writers can write in peace, knowing that the judges are bloodied~ un.

Since people have been asking about Time Zones I thought I'd post this.

Under British Summer Time (31st March to 27th October this year), Iron Fic starts at 7pm and ends at 11pm. BST is GMT+1.

I know I'm probably not supposed to post this here, but I just want to voice my disappointment with the quality of my writing. I would definitely like to use the excuse that "Man, I could have won if I'd just woke up two hours earlier", but that'd be sour grapes. So first thing's first: I apologize for "Libero" and its sub-par quality. I'll try to do better next time.

The secrets to getting lots of points in iron fic:
- Pick a fandom that Ninsaneja doesn't know and that Latewave does know. This is because Ninsaneja doesn't take points off from source unless he can verify a problem exists.
- Be Seitora. Seitora wished for amazing writing skill.
- Submit on time, or if you can't, just cheese it by writing until 5 minutes before the hour to get the max time before additional late penalties.
- We are apparently big fans of handheld game fandoms.

Thanks for that. Furthermore, in the link I added to my post at the top of this page there's a timezone converter. Use it. Love it.

...Meinos, no offense, but I've read your works and you're in no way that fucking good.

Ha. Dude, I used to chat with Meinos weekly (Daily on MSN, before). I was actually one of the people who talked with him about his writing a book almost half a decade ago, and while his writing has improved and his use of diction and prose has grown quite a bit compared to "Meinos of the Year 2005", his works aren't there YET. Hell, back then even he admitted the idea was a bit raw and needed a lot more thought.

He's got weaknesses, some glaring, some subtle, and I know I do too. Meinos, my Italian Pepper of an Internet Acquaintance, has a real problem with spicing up his drama scenes, and I always "lol"-ed him for it back in the day.

I don't suppose you guys remember him having a certain massive crossover tournament fic he had some time ago?

I wasn't being an asshole. That was a "rib". Much like how GH nuked my earlier works years back and I just laughed it off.

I know I'm not. XD I'm keeping the lolis, though.

And damn, Star Tournament. Those were the days... And what was that about drama scenes? 'Cause I think I need some help with that still. :p

Yeah, it's a problem because they're actually reading A LOT like stiff dialogue and there's always too much action going on from the characters. How do I say this? They do too much and the narration doesn't do enough; if that makes sense.

Also, your dialogue is very polarizing... in preference. Your Naruto fics actually have very good dialogue; improper grammar and slang and all that, but your novel is very... stiff; formal.

You're a good writer, bro, but you're not Pantheon material.

Now kiss Isaac Asimov's feet and say three Hail Harper Lees before you leave. :p

You told me to read it? *Hesitantly* And to not pull any punches?

Um... about a year and a half ago we talked about this?

Hey guys! Just wanted to post in the general Iron Fic thread to announce that I'll be joining our cast of judges for this Saturday. (I'm going to be at OMGCon in Paducah, KY this weekend, so I'll be busy during the actual writing window.)

So, in advance: good luck!

I was going to participate, but currently it is 1:16 AM where I am and Watashiwa hasn't posted, so I'm going to bow out. I am tired and have walked 20 minutes to the nearest internet cafe to do this, but will now walk away from participation. Peace out, homies.
