Akamatsuverse Just as Planned

I've noticed that in a surprisingly large number of fics that star Chao in some way, she's theis sort of all-knowing, brilliant Magnificent Bitch of the highest caliber. She's able to manipulate EVERYONE, no matter who they are, because she has done a Light "just as planned" move.

Now, this is understandable...to a point. She has a large kill-sat left in orbit above Mars, she created Chachamaru and clones. She boosted Magitek quite a bit by joining the mechanics club. She has left contingencies for several problems that come up in the manga, without any ideas.

What bugs me is, when in fanfiction, her "I know everything" qualities go up to eleven. This includes, amazingly, even GODS (such as AMG).

I just think it's ridiculous.

I think that has more to do with the fact that she is from the future.

I have to wonder if she wasn't locked in some sort of self-fulfilling paradox scenario. Basically, the past is happening exactly as she researched it would, despite her actions.

I've thought of writing a crackfic where she watches her own disappearance and then steps into a phone booth. "How's it going Rufus!"

That is, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy view of time-travel, where whatever timetravel has happened has already affected the present, so a canny timetraveler knows exactly what they have to do and/or that it will bring about the future they already have, but they already did it, so they have to do it.

"Hey! It's us! Oh man, what did we say last time we met us?"

"I dunno. Let's go find out."

Chao Lingsing's Excellent Adventure?

Now that's a crack idea.

I actually thought of doing that with the Baka Rangers at one point, since it'd be more or less the same plotline. You'd have to make up some stuff for Chao to do it by herself though.

I'd like to see something different for once.
It is understandable to a point - with knowledge from the future and all. But I'd like to see her presence make ripples. And someone smart is bound to notice them (and do something about it).

Manipulations?.. Well... Would be funny to have her plans.. not exactly backfire.. more like have la lot of unforeseen side effects. Each and every one of them with fallout that sends things even more out of control.. like rumors about Harry in Make a Wish series...

The thing is she didn't intend to make friends. Her connection to Hakase was likely a coincidence. Whatever robot army she made would likely have been inferior to the sisters.

That would be great. I once read in a fanfic that the TSAB gives Carte Blanche (or however you sell it) to their members when time travel is involved, due to FUBAR scenarios when time timestream is affected. I have this idea in my head that Nanoha, while not arriving in time to stop or participate in the actual Battle for Mahora, arrives as Chao is about to leave, and traps her in a bind while saying she's under arrest - while Class 3-A is standing there, shocked.

How to get around the fact that Chao can teleport out of binds with time travel? It's called the TIME Space Administration Bureau. The binds of Devices are probably at least partially resistant to that sort of effect.

Or have the Norse goddess of time sisters (Urd, Belldandy and Skuld) having been told to keep out of it by the Almighty, so they can't get involved. Cue Chao trying to manipulate them and get completely blown out of the water.
