Just got WoW

A friend had apparently sent me a copy a while back that ended up getting lost in the mail just after Christmas. When it showed up a couple days ago I started playing.

I'm currently playing a Night Elf Hunter on Darrowmere and started wondering if the guild was still active.

Not on Darrowmere. Not many of us, anyway. We moved to Bloodscalp and became Hordies a long while ago. Come join the red, semi-monstrous side!

I'm still on Darrowmere. But yeah, TFFers for the most part, moved to Bloodscalp.

In my case, I just 'can't' abandon my Pally on Darrowmere. And so, why I still play it. Got a new guild too.

Started an Orc Warrior on Bloodscalp, though I'm still playing my Night Elf as well.

I'm in the Crossroads at the moment

Fuck the horde Ally all the way baby if you would like to play wit me come to Jeadenar. Character name is Skwissgar

Just a warning though.....its a low pop server with 80% of them being 70 but arena and BG Q's are almost instant and raid progression is pretty decent (Ally - Mother in BT i think and Horde - SWP Kalecgos).

Well, I'm on Gurubashi (the main server I'm on when I'm not playing Bloodscalp, which is most of the time. :p), high pop server and is where my 59 is at. In terms of BGs, the 50-59 bracket is awesome. EXCEPT in Warsong Gulch. It's where the Ally twinks have their fun. <_< Especially this week since it's that BG's holiday. After all, we usually win AV since, most of the time it's 20 against 40. :p AB too except, again, when the Twinks come.

Of course, I'm staying at 59 for a reason. Even though I'm one bar away from 60, for some reason, on this server at least, BGs are a lot less fun for the Horde. <_< Sure we get uber-honor points, but actually winning them seems to be a problem. So, I have to spam them now to get the badges in order to get my Epic Gear. Otherwise... sucks to be Horde (as hard of a concept as that sounds).

Dont waste your honor on 60 pvp gear take the gring to 70 and use those points to get your self some Merc gear.

That's what I'm planning to do.

Oh, and when I said BGs are a lot less fun for the Horde, I meant the 60-69 bracket (61-70 for AV). The reason why I'm staying at 59 is due to the fact that the win/loss column seemed to go the Allies way in the higher brackets. I.e. they actually win more than we do. I don't know why. I mean sure there are twinks on the Ally side. Shouldn't that be true with the Horde? <_<

Oh well, more BG spamming. When I'm not lvling up my other characters.

Oh, and mounts at 30 rocks! Especially with my Pally on Bloodscalp!

Biggest problem with your plan, Simmy?

You get reduced honor under level 60.

You may get the marks easier, but once you have enough, i highly advise you go on to the 70 brackets, as you WILL get better honor.

Umm...

That isn't my plan? :hmm:

The reason why I'm staying under 60 is to get the badges. I know at higher levels I'll get higher honor points. And when I think I have a decent amount, I'll move into the higher levels to get the shitload of honor points.

I also know, there is a 'drawback' in my plan. Mainly, time. Instead of 'enjoying the fruits of my labor' at 70, I'm still at 59 earning 'low' number of honor. However, IMO, that is fine right now since, AFAIK, it's the badges that are more important anyway. After all, I currently have like 48 AV badges. If what I have heard is true, if I had moved into the higher brackets (okay, it would be 61 for AV. Still...) what took me 16 games to get that number, could have taken me... 48. Maybe a little less if we win a few, but yeah. Except for the last game I was in (which I left before it ended since I was queried for another BG), I never lost AV. Sure, I'll have a crap load of honor points, but then I couldn't spend it due to the lack of badges.'

*that last game where we almost lost was when it was 40/40. Which was 'rare' for a while since most of the time it was 20/40. Yeah, unfair. But a win is a win. :p It also possibly blows the idea that Horde = Win all the time too if being 'fair' means we lose. <_<

Though if I do go up a higher level, I might take a chance with WSG. Again, it seems to be the one BG this bracket, we suck. Twinks is one thing. But we just seem to never get a team going that can actually get the damn flag. Still, 36 badges isn't bad considering I started late. I really didn't BG until 58/59. Quite literally, I did not discover how fun it was until very late.
