Flare Fist – This is a nintaijutsu style of the Hidden Cloud. It coats the user’s hands and feet in fire chakra so that every strike burns on contact. The concussive force of the flames amplifies the strength of each attack and creates an almost-explosive effect when it impacts the enemy. The user can go so far as to ‘throw’ these flames at their target, creating impromptu fireballs with their punches and kicks.
Fire bending? And why Hidden Cloud, I can't recall anyone from that village ever using a fighting style like this. The closest thing is probably the landmine punches from that one explosion guy from Hidden Rock.

Equalizer Fist – This taijutsu combines Gentle Fist and Strong Fist into a single style, designed to unleash both external and internal damage. On the surface, it appears just like the Strong Fist with an emphasis on wide, high-speed movements and the use of bone-breaking punches and kicks. However these blows are laced with chakra that is shoved into the target with each attack, amplifying the damage by injuring the organs and nerves. More demanding than either disciplines, this style requires both a tough body and precise chakra control.
Well that's rather terrifying. One style breaks muscles and bones with overwhelming brute force, the other damages internal organs with precise, expert applications of force. Combining them would basically let you liquify people with your punches. :ph43r:

Nintaijutsu is supposed to be one of the preferred fighting styles of Hidden Cloud. The only example of that we've seen are the Raikages' Lightning Armour so this and Shock Fist are for the less elite ninja. And we at least have one Cloud dude throwing around some fire style kenjutsu.

It's something I'd like Rock Lee to do, tbh. It's technically possible and I'd like that guy to take a more unique direction. Throw in some Drunken Fist for something really crazy.

Or Neji, genius that he is, decides to take the Gentle Fist a step further.

Wind Release: Thoughtless Airspace – This ninjutsu releases the user’s chakra in every direction and synchronises it with the surrounding air molecules, allowing them to perceive the world around them through the wind. This grants them 360 degree vision and they can "see" in any or all directions at once as desired, simultaneously perceiving the three-dimensional shape and exact location of all objects.

Wind Release: Sky Ride - This ninjutsu allows the user to control and manipulate objects from a distance by creating air currents around them, lifting them up and having them move according to their will. means of wind nature manipulation. In addition, the jutsu grants the user an intrinsic awareness of the wind currents they create, which allows them to follow the object's movement even if he can't see it. This can be even be user create air currents strong enough to support their weight to lift them off the ground and enable them to fly.

Wind Release: Wild Soar – This ninjutsu creates and manipulating air currents around the user’s body which are strong enough to support their weight and fly through the air. Using this, they can fly at fast as they wind can.

Wind Release: Soaring Twister – A combination of Wind Release: Wild Style Wall and Wind Release: Wild Soar, this ninjutsu surrounds the user in a spherical barrier of wind which is able to protect them from harm as well as provide strong enough winds to lift them through the air.

Wind Release: Aero Jet – This ninjutsu creates an ejection point for air when they touch an object. This creates a powerful gale that is released from that point, propelling the object in the opposite direction at incredibly high speeds. It serves as a useful method for turning random object into dangerous projectiles without throwing them.

Wind Release: Rapid Swirl – This ninjutsu shoots a twister of wind from the user’s hand to blow the target away, often sending them spinning backwards and leaving them disoriented.

Earth Release: Earth Spike Launch – This ninjutsu hardens the earth and shapes it into spikes which are fired from the ground towards the target and rips through them. A common tactic is for the user to defend themselves with an earth wall and then fire earth spikes from it in a horizontal volley.

Earth Release: Pitfall – This ninjutsu shifts away all the earth underground whilst leaving a thin sheet supported by the user’s chakra. When an opponent steps onto that sheet, they fall through into the hole.

Earth Release: Broken Earth Fall – This ninjutsu breaks apart the ground beneath the target to create a hole for them to fall down.

Earth Release: Petrification – This ninjutsu channels chakra through the hand and into the target to turn living flesh into a stone. It actually comes in two forms where one just creates a thin layer of compressed stone over the target’s skin to entrap them, whilst the other causes a complete transformation.

Earth Release: Soil Bond – This ninjutsu spits out a mass of mud at the target which wraps around their form and binds them in place.

Earth Release: Ground Shaker – This ninjutsu causes the earth to shake violently, destabilizing anything and anyone on the surface. The more chakra then the further the effects will spread. It can even be made to affect an entire city and bring down it’s the building from the vibration and cracked earth, making it a popular tactic or terrorist cells.

Earth Release: Rock Bullet – This ninjutsu has the spit out bullets of rock at the target which bludgeons the target with incredible force.

Earth Release: Sinking Marshlands – This is one of Jiroubou’s ninjutsu which turns an area of earth into a muddy swamp which sucks enemies down into its depths. But the main aspect of the technique is its chakra draining effect, forcibly pulling the chakra out of anyone caught in the mud and stealing away their strength.

Earth Release: Prison Golem – This ninjutsu developed by Jiroubou which creates a humanoid construct with a hollow stomach. Rather than just hitting and crushing its opponents – which it is still capable of – it is designed to capture and eat its target. When inside, the prisoner’s chakra is drained and used to fuel the golem.

Lightning Release: Thunder Pillar – This ninjutsu channels lightning chakra through the ground to cause a pillar of lightning to shoot up at the target.

Lightning Release Body Flicker – This ninjutsu is the Body Flicker Technique using lightning chakra instead of regular chakra. As the chakra vitalises the body, its lightning chakra stimulates the neural synapses to enable the user to move at even greater speeds than usual and improve their reflexes at the same time to handle said speed. This comes at the cost of the physical strain being even greater than usual in the aftermath.

Lightning Release: White Lightning - This ninjutsu concentrates lightning chakra into one of the user’s finger which is then fired in a narrow beam to pierce through a target.

Lightning Release: Thunder Cannon – This ninjutsu shoots a concussive bolt of lightning from the user’s hand to blast an opponent back and electrocute them.

Water Release: Water Bounce – This ninjutsu increases the buoyancy of a water source like a river or lake to make its surface springy. Rather than breaking through and being submerged, an object or person who falls onto it will bounce back as if it were a trampoline.

Water Release: Tiled River – A variation of Water Release: Water Bounce, this ninjutsu gives water a solid surface as if it was the ground. It was used to aid allies who aren’t able to water walk or couldn’t do so over certain distances, but it can also be used to prevent an enemy from going underwater and hurting them if they try the water’s surface hard enough.

Water Release: Jet Fountain – This ninjutsu creates water beneath the earth’s surface and makes it burst up in a fountain to blast an opponent up and away. It can be used immediately but it’s also possible to build up the pressure of the water so that when it finally erupts, the force is multipled. This makes it useful for an ambush where the user can set it up prior to an enemy’s appearance.

Water Release: Starch Syrup Capturing Globe – A variation of Water Release: Starch Syrup Capturing Field which has the user spit out a globe of viscous water at the target. It clings to their body to bind their limbs and limit their mobility.

Water Release: Underwater Current – This ninjutsu creates fast-flowing currents within a water source to toss about an underwater foe.

Fire Release: Golem – This ninjutsu creates a golem made of fire that moves according to the user’s command, burning everything they touch. They are literally a walking fire hazard. Anything flammable in the vicinity is likely to be set alight, they continually consume the surrounding oxygen and release significant which makes them incredibly dangerous in an enclosed environment.

Fire Release Shadow Clone – This ninjutsu creates a shadow clone using fire chakra. It functions exactly like a standard shadow clone but when it is dispelled, it erupts into flames that burn anything in the vicinity.

Nara Clan

Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Bind – The precursor to the Shadow Imitation Jutsu, this Nara hijutsu connects the user’s shadow with another person’s to paralyse them. As long as the shadow is attached, the victim cannot move.

Hidden Jutsu: Hidden Shadow– This Nara hijutsu allows the caster to conceal themselves within a shadow by sending their chakra into it and melding with it. They cannot achieve this by using the shadow cast by their body and instead can only hide within one cast by another person or object. However they can enter that shadow from a distance if they first connect it with it with their jutsu. If the shadow moves, then the caster moves with it which makes it a very useful method of following someone unnoticed.

Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Puppet – This Nara hijutsu combines the Shadow Imitation Jutsu with the Hidden Shadow Jutsu. When the caster has hidden themselves within the shadow of a person, they can use their chakra to seize control of the host’s body and make it move as they wish. The person moves according to the shadow rather than the other way around.

Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Disguise – This Nara hijutsu allows the caster to hide within a shaded area. They blend in with a pre-existing shadow to render them invisible to their eyes. They are still there but cannot be seen unless they step out of the shadow.

Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Replacement – This Nara hijutsu allows the caster to swap places with a person that their shadow is linked too. It’s an alternative version of the Body Replacement Jutsu that’s designed to help the Nara escape from danger whilst they have someone bound with their shadow.

Hidden Jutsu: Running Shadow – A more advanced version of the Hidden Shadow Jutsu, this Nara hijutsu melds the user with their shadow so that they can move across surfaces as a two-dimensional shape. They can extend body parts from the shadow to sneak up on an opponent.

Hidden Jutsu: Swallowing Shadow – This Nara hijutsu combines their shadow manipulation with fuuinjutsu by connecting their shadow with another person’s and then dragging the victim inside. The target is pulled down into the shadow which returns to its regular shape and the cast can keep them containing for a certain length of time.

Hidden Jutsu: Silhouette Golem – This is one of the most advanced Nara hijutsu which infuses half of the caster’s chakra into their shadow to create a three-dimensional clone of themselves. At the cost of losing their ability to manipulate shadows, the clone is able to cast as their support with an intangible form and malleable shape.

Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Step - This is one of the most advanced Nara hijutsu with combines their shadow jutsu with space-time ninjutsu. The caster is able to instantly traverse from one location to another by using a shadow as a conduit for travel. It essentially turns shadows into the jutsu formula typically needed for space-time jutsu. But this also creates the limitation of distance because a shadow is a less stable form of travel, so whilst they can move around instantly they can only do so in a localised area.

Akimichi Clan

Reverse Multi-Size Jutsu – This Akimichi hijutsu is a variation of their Multi-Size Technique. Just like the original, it can expand the user’s body into a human-sized ball but has the effect of shrinking them back down to their original immediately. The intention of this is knock back anyone within striking range of the user with the expansion and returning them to normal within any delay. It can even repel incoming attack and literally bounce it back.

Human Bullet Bounce – This taijutsu first has the Akimichi use the Multi-Size Jutsu and, in their enlarged form, they use a special manoeuvre that causes them to bounce off the ground and then slam back down, hard. They can repeat the jump to literally bounce around the target, crushing everything that gets caught underfoot. This is even more deadly when used inside as the Akimichi can bounce off the walls and ceiling to pick up speed.

Super Heavy Stomp – This Akimichi style taijutsu has the user lift their foot, concentrate their chakra into it until it’s visible, and stomp it down with all their body weight to crushing anyone caught underfoot.

Super Thunder Smash – This Akimichi style taijutsu has the user lock their enlarged hands together, concentrate their chakra into it until it’s visible and then bring it crashing down upon the target.

Yamanaka Clan

Mind Body Paralysis Jutsu – A variation of the Mind Body Disturbance Jutsu, this ninjutsu sends the caster’s chakra into the target’s nervous system and cuts off their connection to the body. The victim collapses, conscious but immobile, as they can’t even lift a finger.

Mind Clone Disturbance Jutsu – A more advanced version of the Mind Clone Switch Jutsu, this ninjutsu transfers a copy of the caster’s conscious into another person without transferring themselves at the same time. Like the Mind Body Disturbance Jutsu, they turn another’s person body into a puppet but this time they don’t have to control it manually and leave it to the mind clone. But the clone can only operate within a limited distance of the caster.

Mind Body Disruption Jutsu – A variation of the Mind Body Transmission Jutsu, this ninjutsu telepathically sends a chaotic bombardment of thoughts to the target. This causes the victim to suffer from mental damage in the form of an debilitating migraine that can even render them unconscious.

Mind Body Vision Jutsu – This ninjutsu allows the caster to send their chakra into a target’s nervous system, specifically their optic nerves, and then see through their eyes.

Mind Body Seal Jutsu – Whilst mind reading a target, this ninjutsu is able to seal away a specific portion of a person’s memory. The victim forgets whatever the selected memory (or memories) was and can only remember it if the seal is released or if they experience something the triggers a recollection. The seal naturally degrades over time and its length depends on the memory itself, the will of the target and the skill of the caster.

Mind Body Soul Technique – One of the most advanced ninjutsu of the Yamanaka Clan, this ninjutsu connects the caster’s mental gifts with their chakra sense to amplify the effects of both. This grants them the ability to read the thoughts of a person they can sense. The target needs to be nearby for the information to be discernable and it is nowhere as simple as hearing their mental voice but if mastered, their opponent will unknowingly give away their location, targets, attacks and everything that comes to mind. Few people even attempt to learn this jutsu with the possibility of madness that can stem from its use.

Inuzuka Clan

Beast Human Clone – This ninjutsu transforms the Inuzuka into a canine. Typically, they take on a form identical to that of the ninja dog partner but this isn’t a necessity.

Four Legged Beast Jutsu – This ninjutsu is an advanced version of the Four Legs Technique which triggers an extreme transformation of the Inuzuka’s body, becoming a beast in the shape of a human. Their senses enhance, fur sprouts from their body, their fangs and nails lengthen and sharpen and their muscles swell.

Human Beast Combination Transformation: Wolf Man – This ninjutsu has the Inuzuka and their ninja dog do a combination transformation to become a human wolf. Standing taller and wider than most adults, it turns the casters into the apex predator capable of hunting and killer with ease.

Aburame Clan

Parasitic Giant Insect – This ninjutsu has the Aburame feed one of their kikaichu with chakra to make it dramatically swell in size. Once its large enough, they can ride on its back to travel through the air at high speed.

Hidden Jutsu: Insect Hatchling – This Aburame hijutsu involves the caster producing an egg sac within their body which they then spit at the target. It latches onto the target’s body and splits open, releasing dozens of new-born kikaichuu to feast on their chakra. These also can be used to lay traps which only hatch when they sense a person’s chakra draw close enough to the egg sack.

Hidden Jutsu: Insect Venom – This Aburame hijutsu releases kikaichu that host a toxin in their teeth which is released into the target’s bloodstream when they bite. The more bites they receive, the fast the toxin spreads. The dual effect of suffering from poison and have their chakra drained can often bring a target down in less than a minute.

Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Puppet is basically already canon. But it's called Toad Flatness - Shadow Manipulation Technique. Jiraiya's usage of this technique has long made me suspect that he may actually be from the Nara clan but doesn't use his last name for whatever reason (same situation as Tsunade who we know is a Senju but who has never used the name herself).

Mind Clone Disturbance Jutsu - you were basically just wondering what would happen if a Yamanaka created a shadow clone and ordered the shadow clone to use Mind Body Switch weren't you?

What's the difference between a Hidden Jutsu and a Secret Technique? You used both terms in that last post.

I was actually meant to throw in a reference to Jiraiya's version but it must have slipped my mind. Like, he saw a Nara use that jutsu and thought it looked damn useful so he decided to try and recreate it. Anyone can use a hijutsu after all if you can figure out how (unless it requires hand mouths, bugs living inside you etc). His was a bastardized version which flattened his body and required him to hold his breath to maintain it but got the job done.

Though based on the name you'd think it was something he'd learned from a toad, since every other jutsu he's got with toad in the name is obviously related to them.

Mind Clone Disturbance Jutsu - you were basically just wondering what would happen if a Yamanaka created a shadow clone and ordered the shadow clone to use Mind Body Switch weren't you?
Nah, it was actually based on the Mind Clone Switch. It seemed an obvious extrapolation.

But I suppose you would accomplish the same thing with a shadow clone. Unless tossing its consciousness causes it to pop. This one cuts out the middle man and could save chakra at least.

What's the difference between a Hidden Jutsu and a Secret Technique? You used both terms in that last post.
No difference, I wrote them at different times and lost track of which one I was using.

If a mind clone possesses someone and that victim gets injured, does the original Yamanaka still receive the same wounds? It doesn't seem like it should since it's basically a non-physical shadow clone and shadow clones obviously don't mirror injuries to their casters. But if not then it's insanely overpowered (just have the mind clone immediately commit suicide the instant it takes control) and I have to wonder why any Yamanaka would ever willingly use the regular Mind Body switch jutsu.

Could be an unfortunate side-effect of possessing a separate living body instead of being created with chakra body, so the spiritual link to the original is much greater and they don't get benefit of avoiding injury like with a regular clone jutsu.

There'd be a big difference in the difficulty level between the Mind Body Switch and the Mind Clone Disturbance, especially if the former can be considered the foundation for the rest of the Yamanaka jutsu so you'd have to work your way up to the ultimate version. You gotta crawl before you can run and all that.

My previous Ice Release entry now contains more detailed canon jutsu (there's only, like, two of them anyway), revamped anime jutsu, variations of those jutsu and the ice equivalents of some canon jutsu. And, provided you ignore the many things I blatantly stole, these are the originals:

Kuraokami – Named for the dragon deity of rain and snow, this ninjutsu can transform Haku’s entire body into ice, wind and water. He observed, copied and adapted the Hydration Jutsu to be compatible with his ice chakra, creating a far more advanced version with a broader scope of abilities. Being highly compatible with shape transformation, Haku can take the form of a solid, liquid or gas.

As solid ice, he can shape his limbs into weapons and protrude razor sharp adornments. His internal and external body temperature drops to sub-zero, projecting intense cold from his body and he can freeze anything he touches. As a liquid, he can merge his molecules with water to seize control of it and turn it into an extension of their body, or travel through bodies of water. And as a gas he can fly through the air as icy vapour or shroud an area in mist and snow. It is the fastest form and he’s untouchable, but it also has the least offensive power.

Each form has its own weakness. His ice body is vulnerable to fire, his water body is vulnerable to electricity and his vapour body is vulnerable to wind. He can avoid injury but too much damage can still render him unconsciousness and if he runs out of chakra than he’s no different from anyone else.

Ice Release: Jealous Horned Demoness – This ninjutsu creates a towering giantess bearing a hannya. The white robed woman is able to hover over the land, drastically lowering the ambient temperature with its presence alone to generate snow and chilling winds as it moves. Whilst its size grants it strength, its crystalline structure makes it fragile. But it compensates by being able to freeze anything it touches, and can breathe frost that creates layers of ice and shoot razor-sharp icicles from its body.

Ice Release: Winter Wonderland – This ninjutsu transforms the surrounding environment into a frozen wasteland. Anything and everything around the user – the ground, water, plants and even living things – is frozen in thick sheets of ice for dozens of meters in every direction. Within this sphere of influence, the ice is able to respond to the user’s will without the need for hand-seals to create a territory of ice completely under their control.

Ice Release: Eternal Winter Wonderland – A more advanced version of Ice Release: Winter Wonderland, this ninjutsu is focused more on temperature than on ice. It has the effect of reducing the temperature down to absolute zero, the lowest temperature possible, in an area that uses the caster as the focal point. White mist rushes outwards in every direction when the jutsu is cast, freezing everything around them down to a molecular level and causing all enemies to crumble away. Even the caster isn’t safe as a mistake could easily lead to them being frozen and destroyed by their own jutsu.

Ice Release: Ice Armament – This ninjutsu moulds ice into shape of different types of melee weapons such as kunai, shuriken, swords, shield, spears etc. It is ideal for melee combat as the user can freely reshape their weapon into a different one or create a new one should it break. When used skilfully, these weapons can unleash a freezing effect upon anything they cut. An alternative use is to create armour out of ice worn by the user that acts as their protection.

Ice Release: Freezing Point – This ninjutsu is designed to nullify Water Release. Any water ninjutsu used against the caster is intercepted by their chakra and forces it to turn to ice. The enemy jutsu loses all its momentum and power as it freezes in place and shatters.

Ice Release: Flash Freeze – This ninjutsu freezes the opponent into a human ice statute by touching their body. The victim is trapped in a temporary state of suspended animation before they succumb to death, but a decent hit can shatter them to pieces.

Ice Release: Cold Domain – This ninjutsu allows the user to lower the temperature in the surrounding area. This is usually just a by-product of Ice Release but this jutsu brings it under the caster’s direct control, creating an environment that is inhospitable to their enemies without causing the caster any harm.

Ice Release: Hailstone Spears – This ninjutsu creates jagged shards of ice which are fired at the target at high speeds. Their sharpness and velocity allows them to pierce through obstacles with ease and their number result in numerous, potentially lethal, wounds. They can be summoned around the user for a linear or omnidirectional attack, or even from a distance so that they appear above or behind the target before they are fired. The size of the spears can vary as well, ranging from the size of fist to larger than a grown man.

Ice Release: Hailstone Star – This ninjutsu creates a star-shaped mass of ice in the above the user covered in jagged protrusions. At the user’s command, the ice explodes and fires frozen shrapnel in every direction and tears through anything caught in range.

Ice Release: Cascading Hail – This ninjutsu creates jagged shards of ice above the target area. At the user’s command, they descend at high speed to pierce through everything below using the velocity of the fall. They often shatter on impact and release icy shrapnel in every direction.

Ice Release: Glittering Snow – This ninjutsu releases a stream of snow from the user’s lips which quickly surrounds an enemy and traps them within a blizzard. With swirling snow on all sides, they can barely see anything in front of them and attempts to escape are rebuffed by heavy wind and snow.

Ice Release: Ice Bullet – This ninjutsu expels a bullet of ice at the target which strikes them with blunt force and freezes everything in the impact zone.

Ice Release: Arctic Hammer – This ninjutsu creates a huge block of ice in the air above the target which is dropped down to crush them under its immense weight.

Ice Release: Ice Bind – This ninjutsu freezes the ground around the target to encase their feet in ice. The enemy is forced into immobility with their feet trapped against the floor and the caster can increase the amount of ice so that grows to cover their entire body. Though unorthodox, this can be used just as well against a target that is running along the walls or ceilings.

Ice Release: Slick Walk – The ninjutsu freezes the ground in a layer of ice to create a slick surface. This near-frictionless pathway makes it incredibly difficult for others to walk across, easily losing their balance and sliding across the ground without control. It can even be made to repel another person’s chakra to prevent them from gaining any traction.

Ice Release: Glacial Sky – This ninjutsu freezes the moisture in the air to create platforms of ice. It can create small blocks of ice that hover in the air for the caster to jump off of to change direction in mid-air or increase their jump height.

Ice Release: Glacial Road – A variation of Ice Release: Glacial Sky, this ninjutsu can create entire roads of ice for the caster and others to walk along to travel, allowing them to completely ignore the surrounding terrain by creating their own pathway.

Ice Release: Sleet Shuriken – This ninjutsu has the user exhale snowflake-shaped shards of ice that are carried by a freezing wind, slicing through the air at high speeds to cut through the target. During their flight, the snowflakes freeze the moisture in the air around them to increase their size.

Ice Release: Freezing Torrent – This ninjutsu expels liquid-ice from the user which remains in a fluid state until it makes contact with solid material, including living and non-living substances, where it rapidly turns to ice. The range and shape of the ice-water is controllable so it can be released as a thin stream or broad wave.

Ice Release: Iced Shell – This ninjutsu coats the user in a protective shell of ice to protect them from an incoming attack. The shell can be formed with sharp protrusions to stab through anyone who gets close.

Ice Release Arctic Storm – This ninjutsu expels a stream of jagged ice from the user’s that shreds and freezes everything in its path.

Ice Release: Ice Fist – This ninjutsu coats the user’s hand in ice to create a protective gauntlet that can defend it from harm and increase the force of their physical strikes.

Ice Release: Spearhead – This ninjutsu shoots several lances of ice from the caster’s hand to pierce through the target.

Ice Release: Snow-Capped Peak – This ninjutsu creates many ice pillars which encircle the target. At the user’s command, these pillars rush in towards the enemy across the ground to envelop and crush them inside.

Ice Release: Hoarfrost Rebellion – This ninjutsu creates several orbs of frost that whirl towards the target, shedding shards of ice as they spin through the air to shred the surroundings with shrapnel. When the orb strikes the target, it explodes in an icy blast.

Ice Release: Glacial Vapour Storm – This ninjutsu fires a massive wave of ice from the caster which freezes its target and the surrounding area caught in its path.

Ice Release: Cold Edge – This ninjutsu channels ice chakra into the user’s weapon so that it freezes anything it cuts and by freezing the surrounding water vapour, the user can extend the weapon’s edge.

Ice Release: Snow Fall – This ninjutsu creates snow clouds above the designated area from the user’s chakra which then releases a flurry of heavy snow onto the world beneath it. With no real offensive or defensive power, this is meant to blind the caster’s enemies and confuse their sense of direction with the fast falling snow.

Ice Release: Snow Storm – A more advanced version of Ice Release: Snow Fall, this ninjutsu creates a localised blizzard by summoning wind, snow and hail to buffet the opponent. The wind chills them to the bone, the snowfall renders them blind, the hailstones scratch at them and the cold saps their vitality.

Ice Release: Flowering Snow Fall – A more advanced version of Ice Release: Snow Fall, this ninjutsu creates snow clouds above the designated area which release snow upon the land below. Whilst the snow appears harmless, the moment is touches the ground each snowflake bursts into a flower of ice. Anyone caught in the snow is captured within a mountain of ice flower.

Ice Release: All-Consuming Avalanche – This ninjutsu creates and launches a large-volume avalanche of snow and ice at the target that crushes everything in its path. Its victims suffer blunt force trauma, frostbite and hypothermia if they aren’t outright crushed by the wave. The avalanche can move across the flat ground, uphill or even through the air instead of being limited to a downhill descent.

Ice Release: Silver Glittering Snow – This ninjutsu expels a snow-laden gale of wind from the user that freezes its victim in victim in ice. The strength of the wind can be made to life the immobile target and fling them back, completely unable to stop or break their fall.

Ice Release: Solstice Whirlwind – This ninjutsu creates a snow-laden whirlwind which drives across the ground to blow away the enemy.

Ice Release: Solstice Tornado – A more advanced version of Ice Release: Solstice Whirlwind, this ninjutsu creates a tornado of snow-laden wind around the target which draws out the air and heat, suffocating and freezing the victim until they succumb to death.

Ice Release: Hail Gale – This ninjutsu expels a gale of frost from the user that is filled with sharp daggers of ice. Propelled by the wind, they hurtle towards the target at high speed to run them through.

Ice Release: Frost Wind – This ninjutsu expels a blade of frosty wind that slices through the target and leaves ice in its wake, freezing any wound it inflicts.

I'm perhaps taking some liberties with these but non-Uchiha deserve some dangerous genjutsu too. Even if these aren't just genjutsu.

Meikyoushisui – Clear and serene as a polished mirror and still water - This ningenjutsu is used upon the caster to make them totally imperceptible. They can disappear from visual and mental perceptions at will so not only are they invisible to the senses but no-one even remembers they existence until they reappear. The caster’s mind must remain undisturbed for them to be undetectable. This is why they cannot attack whilst hidden like this since the act of violence disturbs their calm.

Kyoukasuigetsu – Flowers reflected on a mirror and the moon reflected on the water’s surface - This ningenjutsu turns the caster into a living illusion that cannot be touched or interacted with. Equally they cannot touch or interact with other whilst it is in effect, turning them into a ghostly spectator of everything around them. Unlike the Sharingan kinjutsu, Izanagi, this jutsu doesn’t remove physical injuries inflicted upon the caster but they have no effect whilst the illusion is active.

Nyoronyoden - Existence is as mutable and incorporeal as is the morning dew or a flash of lightning – This ningenjutsu entraps the target within an illusionary realm completely under the caster’s control. It enthralls the victim’s mind to the extent that their mind believes it to be reality and convinces it to physically reflect anything that happens to the victim within the genjutsu, to their body. This danger is limited to what can be inflicted by the illusory environment rather than a direct change to the victim’s health; the more believable the scenario, the greater the injury inflicted.

And genjutsu of the more regular kind...

Illusion: World of Silence – This genjutsu completely removes the victim’s sense of hearing. They cannot hear the call of their allies, the tread of nearby footsteps or the sound of shuriken cutting through the air towards them. It isn’t a debilitating loss but it can serve as a weak point when used in a key moment.

Illusion: Flavourless – This genjutsu affects the victim’s sense of taste which can turn even the most disgusting of meals into something delicious, or at least tasteless. But the more malicious intent behind the jutsu is to disguise poison added to a meal or drink so that it remains undetected until it comes into effect.

Illusion: The Unfeeling – This genjutsu completely removes the victim’s sense of touch.

Illusion: Hypersensitive – This genjutsu enhances the target’s sense of touch. The most devastating aspect of this is how it enhances their sense of pain to go with it, making even a pinprick unusually painful.

Illusion: Double Vision – This genjutsu causes the victim to see two images of everything displaced from one another, rendering them unable to make their eyes converge on the target.

Illusion: Wandering Eye – This genjutsu prevents the victim from focusing their eyes. Whenever they try to focus their gaze on something, they are immediately pulled away so that they aimlessly look around. It’s generally used against lookouts to make them fail to notice an inbound enemy as they are constantly distracted.

Illusion: Inverted World – This genjutsu inverts the target’s sense of direction. They move in the opposite way of what they intended, so leaping forward throws them backward and turning to the left turns them to the right.

Illusion: Silver Tongue – This genjutsu is designed to make the victim’s mind more susceptible to suggestion. By using the illusion in conjunction with verbal persuasion or debate, the victim becomes more inclined to agree with the speaker. To them, the speaker gains a greater presence and their speech is more eloquence than normal.

Illusion: Glamour Veil – This genjutsu functions as an illusionary version of the Transformation Jutsu. They affect the victim sense of sight, hearing and touch so that the caster and their targets appear to be someone or something completely different.

Illusion: Nonexistence – This genjutsu renders the caster invisible to the victim’s senses. At its most basic level, they only cannot be seen by others. At its most advanced they cannot be seen, felt, heard or smelt so that they simply don’t appear to exist.

Illusion: Countdown – This genjutsu affects the target’s perception of time so that everything moves only half as fast as usual. It creates a disconnection between their mind and body that makes it incredibly difficult to move around.

Illusion: Lustful Longing – This genjutsu enhances a target’s lust and directs it towards a specific target.

Illusion: Tempered Attraction – This genjutsu enhances the attractive qualities of the caster to a specific target or anyone around them.

Illusion: Paranoid Disturbance – This genjutsu stimulates the target’s sense of paranoia which is enhanced by subtle disturbances to their senses based on their surroundings.

Illusion: Echoing Stalker – This genjutsu creates a mental echo within the target’s consciousness which causes everything they see, hear and feel to reverberate within the mind, mixing the volume and distorting the sensation for an ever-growing distraction.

Illusion: World Without – This highly advanced genjutsu completely nullifies all of the target’s senses. They cannot see, hear, feel, taste or smell whatsoever to remove all perception of the surrounding world and leave them completely helpless.

Illusion: Attention Grabber – This genjutsu draws the target’s attention to a specific object, person or location. No matter how much they try to focus on something, their gaze is inevitable drawn back to the jutsu’s target as a distraction. This is often used for sleight-of-hand scenarios where the victim places on undue attention of something whilst the caster slips something else past them unnoticed.

Illusion: Heart Stealer – A more advanced version of Illusion: Attention Grabber, this genjutsu creates a glowing light like a will-o-wisp or foxfire that completely steals away the target’s focus. To their eyes, the light is indescribably beautiful and soothing that fills them with an intense longing so that they cannot look away until it is too late.

Illusion: Kaleidoscope – This genjutsu dazzles the victim’s vision with an unending series of brightly coloured flashes of light. The brightness and constant shifting of colours and light blinds and disorients the target to render them distracted. It is one of the few genjutsu effective against visual bloodline limits such as the Sharingan and Byakugan.

Illusion: Sunny Day – This genjutsu blinds the target with intense golden light. The victim reflexively shuts their down and feels pain like someone who had stepped out of dark room into the sun, only multiplied tenfold.

Illusion: Whispered Words – This genjutsu transmits the caster’s voice directly into the target’s hearing, allowing them to speak to them as if it were an ordinary conversation. It works as a type of rudimentary communication between allies who want to avoid detection but unless the recipient also casts the jutsu, it only works one way. It can also be used to distract an enemy by whispering insults and misinformation in their air as psychological warfare.

Illusion: Lost Limb – This genjutsu attacks the target’s internal senses so that they lose all awareness of their own body. They can no longer feel the location of their own arms and legs despite retaining their sense of touch and being able to see their limbs. It doesn’t incapacitate them but it does severely hamper their mobility.

Illusion: Imaginary Clone – This genjutsu functions as an illusionary version of the Clone Jutsu. It causes the victim to see an identical clone of the user that, to me, looks and feels completely real to the extent that they can easily mistake one for another. If the caster disappears from sight, they can even fool the victim into following or attacking the clone to leave them completely preoccupied.

Illusion: Beloved One – This genjutsu creates an image of the person the victim loves the most, or can even turn the caster into that image.

Illusion: Weary Walker – This genjutsu causes the target to misinterpret how tired they area, feeling weaker and more drained than they should. The feeling persists and worsens so that they feel like they are out of energy despite how much they actually possess.

Illusion: Depthless Perception – This genjutsu inhibits the target’s depth perception which causes them to misjudge distances. They are hit by projectiles they should have dodged, collide with obstacles that they could have gone around or fall from edges that were closer than they though.

Illusion: Pain Relief – This genjutsu deadens the target’s sense of pain. It is often used to relief an injured comrade but it can also help trick an opponent into them not realising that they are injured.

And finally something in the middle...

Water Illusion: Haunting Mist – This ningenjutsu blankets the area in mist to remove visibility and then transmits the illusion through the chakra within the water vapour. It confuses the victim’s sense of direction, enhances the feeling of claustrophobia and paranoia and creates phantom images and sensations to prey upon their fear.

Lightning Illusion: Excruciating Nerve – This ningenjutsu shoots a lightning bolt at the target to cause painful muscles cramps in the target. Even after the lightning had dissipated, the illusion perpetuates the sense of pain from the electricity and leaves them in a continuous loop of agony.

Fire Illusion: Fire Seeker – This ningenjutsu expels a fireball at the target which creates the illusion of releasing a series of smaller ones that home in on them. They catch the target without fail and steadily consume their bodies until they are turned to ash.

Wind Illusion: Howling Gale – This ningetsu wraps the target in a dusty whirlwind which traps them in an illusion of being continually shredded from all sides by the cutting winds and dust particles. It grinds away their body to erode their flesh from their muscles and bone.

Earth Illusion: Deep Swamp – This ningenjutsu liquefies the earth beneath the target’s feet and then instigates the illusion of the mud reaching up to swallow the earth. It crawls up their body to cover the whole skin and then skin down their throat to choke them.

Ningenjutsu. An interesting concept. I assume you you were inspired by C's Lightning Illusion Flash of Lightning Pillar which was initially referred to as a genjutsu but when he later used it again in chapter 612 it was called instead a lightning release jutsu? Considering nintaijutsu is officially a thing I suppose that means ningenjutsu is all but canon. And Izanagi would certainly make a hell of a lot more sense if it were actually both a genjutsu and a ninjutsu.

Now all we need is some gentaijutsu! Or would it be taigenjutsu?

I think we all know what taigenjutsu would look like.

I think I remember reading a fic that claimed Rock Lee managed to pass the Genin Exam by faking Bunshin no Jutsu by doing this, but that was forever ago.

But academy student Rock Lee was a loser who sucked at everything, taijutsu included. He didn't become a martial arts badass until after training under Gai for over a year. So there's no way he could have possibly passed his genin exam that way.

Ningenjutsu, in my mind, is using a ninjutsu as a catalyst to ensnare the enemy in a genjutsu e.g. dazzling the enemy with a blinding ninjutsu that sparks the genjutsu, allowing your allies to sneak up on the distracted opponent.* Meikyoushisui, Kyoukasuigetsu and Nyoronyoden would be the pinnacle of that style where the illusions are imposed upon the physical world like Izanagi. Izanagi isn't classed as one is it's explicitly tied to the Senju/Uchiha bloodlines and the Sage's Creation of All Things but I think of it as more-or-less in the same area.

*It could have just been a genjutsu version of the ninjutsu but that's not as interesting.

Just playing around with an alternate MS...though it's more like the original MS before things took a strange direction.

Mangekyou Sharingan

This is the evolved form of the Sharingan that awakens when an Uchiha experiences the pain of killing a loved one.

Amaterasu – This jutsu is the highest form of Fire Release which ignites a jet-black flame at the focus of the user’s vision. The black fire is as hot as the sun, capable of burning through almost any obstacle, cannot be extinguished and will continue to burn for seven days and nights. The caster can continually ignite flames following their line of vision to pursue a target and are the only ones capable of quelling the fire once it begins to burn. Uchiha with the greatest disposition towards the jutsu can even add shape transformation to flames to create weaponry or use it as a defence.

Tsukuyomi – This jutsu is the most powerful genjutsu in existence which entraps the victim’s mind within an unbreakable illusion. The caster has total control over the victim’s senses, creating a dream world bound entirely by their imagination and follows what rules they decide. Uchiha with the greatest disposition towards the jutsu can even control time within that illusionary world so that the genjutsu lasts far beyond its actual length.

Susanoo – This is the third and final jutsu which summons spectral armour of chakra around the caster’s body. It layers itself over them like a second skin made of ghost-like bone and flesh, protecting them from harm and producing weapons for them to use in exchange for consuming their life force. The Uchiha can create a sword to attack, a shield to defend and throw-able magatama. Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi can be channelled through it such as igniting the shield to burn through any attack and making the sword trap its victim in an illusion or vice versa.

Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan

The evolved form of the Mangekyou Sharingan that awakens when they transplant the Sharingan offered to them - literally or metaphorically - by a close blood relative and see the world through their eyes. It possess two new jutsu and makes the original three more powerful.

Izanami – This jutsu is the extreme form of the Sharingan’s prediction ability which is able to grant the caster the ability to see several seconds in the future. How far they see into the future depends on how much chakra is used with sixty seconds beyond the maximum. The jutsu goes beyond simply predicting an opponent’s next movement through visual tells and allows the caster to completely experience their immediate future, regardless of how unpredictable it might be.

Izanagi – This jutsu is the extreme form of the Sharingan’s insight ability which is able to completely decipher a ninjutsu or genjutsu down to its most fundamental components and then nullify it. The jutsu within their vision is erased as if it had never existed, leaving the caster unharmed. The only jutsu this doesn’t affect are the ones that manipulate pre-existing, physical material as a medium. And it isn't limited to a single jutsu at a time but can even be used to nullify every jutsu the caster can see. All of the information about the jutsu is stored within the caster’s mind perfectly, leaving them just as capable of using it provided they meet its requirements.

Susanoo – This jutsu evolves along with the Mangekyou Sharingan. The spectral flesh of the chakra guardian becomes stronger in both offence and defence as it produces a full set of armour as well. Instead of being limited to the size of the caster’s body, it can expand into a gigantic form that can stand as tall as a Tailed Beast and any jutsu used in conjunction with Susanoo is amplified in its effect to match its size and power.

I always thought that a Genjutsu that induced a vague sense of unease in the target, convincing them that there's something wrong and/or slightly off in their surroundings, causing them to conclude that they're in a standard visual Genjutsu when they're not, would be devastatingly effective against highly paranoid Shinobi. They'd be constantly trying to break the illusion, slowly losing belief that the reality that they're perceiving is truly reality.

Which is why I've always found it funny how some fanfic authors will try to make the setting more "realistic" and "ninja-like" by making everyone hyper paranoid "constant vigilance!" nutcases, and act like that makes them better ninja. It wouldn't, paranoia is a legitimate mental disorder that would negatively impact their life and their ability to do their job, and it would be a fantastically easy to exploit weakness to a clever assassin.

There's a reason most ninja villages train their soldiers to work in squads and watch out for each other (and protect them and their loved ones with barriers and black ops patrols) rather than to sleep on pins and jump at shadows. Even ninja need to be able to trust their friends and families or they'll go insane.

it would work only with EXTREMELY paranoid shinobi, though

Case in point: Hanzo of the Salamander.
he wasn't insane, though.

the fault with making a genjutsu that makes the target believe something is wrong is that when he try to undo a genjutsu over him, it goes with it.

Naruto and Gamabunta in the Kyubi henge creating a pseudo-bijudama with toad oil, fuuton chakra and a bit of the Kyubi chakra used for the henge.

There are ways around that, though. If a hidden Shinobi casts it upon a target who's barricaded themselves inside a fixed location a couple of times a day without being caught, then they could slowly drive them insane. Poison could probably be prepared for, and detected and countered by med-nin. A genjutsu of this type would be totally unexpected.

Hell, Hanzo would have been a perfect example. Unless he was a sensor-type, I very much doubt he'd be able to detect the subtle, delicate usage of chakra involved in such a genjutsu. As such, he'd be restricted to only realising that he was caught in a genjutsu once his body or senses were tampered with.

A genjutsu that only subtly convinces him that he's in an illusion would only have the effect of him repeatedly firing off dispels, and slowly beginning to wonder if he's losing his mind.

So you'd basically condition them through repeated usage until they are trying to dispel the genjutsu before you've even cast it on them, as it's so subtle that once the victim becomes sufficiently paranoid they won't be able to tell the difference between chakra induced feelings of unease and genuine ones.

The only problem with that particular scenario is that Hanzou controlled an entire nation, so he's probably got plenty of chakra-sensing personal guards who could tell for sure if his mind is being influenced by chakra, protect him from such a subtle assault on his mind and who would be able to track down the spy responsible.

Also, it's not paranoia when they're actually out there for you, like in Hanzō's case.
