Is it even possible to play this game in english? I've noticed it's absolutely exploded in popularity across the internet to the point even english speaking anime fans are obsessed with it and it's basically become the next Touhou Project, but I still have no idea how the actual game even works.

@Altered Nova: Sadly no. What you would need is a Japanese IP address (Proxies exist for this very reason) and a DMM account (it's free)

But there have been translations online of the functions.

I can try though:
- The types of resources you have are gas, bullets, steel and bauxite (for making planes).
- If your ship runs out of gas or bullets, they'll have reduced evasion and damage.
- Big circle in the middle is where you go to missions (Left [Sortie: Missions], Middle [PvP: none of your ships die/sink], Right [Expedition to get more resources])

The reason for the popularity is the personalities of each ships embedded in their real history.

do be careful if you go try the THIRD-party translation script...
it's not supported by DMM so there's no guarantee you won't be hacked if you use them to translate the text....
