Base info of the cross here Soul Eater wiki but I reccommend you read the manga scans though since it's just a good series. Soul eater manga scans

still working out the details but this is what I have on my mind...

This idea is a mix of adapting Ranma to the soul eater version of earth, in this world Ranma was being raised to be the ultimate weapon... literly. Ranma Satome is a weapon in humaniod form, a genius adaptable weapon that can learn new absorb new forms. His father Genma took him on a trip around the world to make him the very best to be partnered with the tendo family of meister, weapon technicians. Unfortunately things didn't turn out as planned as Ranma, due to his ego and pride has yet to meet a partner he can work sync with properly to use his full powers...

The Planned heir of the tendo family akane conflicted more than most, though both skilled in their own right their constant conflict made it impossible for her to weild him... the oldest daughter though easy to sync with had long since given up her training and would not make a suitable host... it fell finally to the middle daughter to take the position. Knowledgable and tactically sound but ultimately unmotivated in the art of reaping demon god eggs and hunting witches. But unfortunately for Ranma it feel to this by default. Time passed to trying to get things to work and just when it seemed a useless struggle nerima fell under a vicious and sudden witch assualt. As one of the few technician pairs in the area they were called to step up and in the end preformed rather unsucessfully, out preformed even by akane and her recent partner the wandering weapon Ryoga.

Egos bruised both came to an agreement to work at being a better team... falling into a buisness like relationship and slowly starting to improve. with the release of the first demon god shibushin (the weapons technican vocational school in death city) began reaching out to gather new promising technicans in training. Nabiki, Ranma, Akane and Ryoga make the cut due to some connections of the saotomes and Tendos and travel to the US ro attend the chief training school.

(the story would start with them transfering in and all of the past meetings and events would come up over time through dialouge and flashbacks.)

Notes
- Ranma would have four forms on top of his standard look. A tai chi straight blade, a spear, and a bow. The bow form he absorbed from a female weapon which (to his great annoyance) gave him a female form as well which he always ends up returning to after using bow form (though if he felt like it he could change anytime but generally he avoids that form unless he has to, or he wants to score some free food.). Like all weapons he can also do partail weapon forms where a limb can be suddenlt replace with part of a weapon for surprise attacks. He will gain more weapon forms over time. His ego tends to get the better of him and it's not uncommon for him to try and fight something on his own but generally does listen to nabiki when the battles get serious so not to repeat past mistakes...

- Neko ken is still in this, due to genma hearing of a way to get a quick power up. having young ramna eat 50 cat souls. On top of his fear when triggered is sends him and any user using him into a berserker mode where powers are increased but neither Ranma nor the user is in control. Nabiki knows of this and is not above using this form in a bind. Though it's not always accessable if there isn't a cat to use. (Though Blair tends to hang around much to Ranma's dismay).

still working things out... and comments or ideas are welcomed. and more ideas I'll fill in.

While this may sound strange for Ranma to assume this form, I easily see Nabiki wielding a gun instead of a melee weapon. I do think this would be a rather interesting read thou best of luck.

he could learn that form but Ranma is a martial artist styled person trained my a martial artist kind of father. Thus martial arts style weapons. Nabiki does prefer the bow form so she can hang back... much to Ranma's annoyance.

Thanks ^_^

Eh, to be perfectly honest, this just holds no appeal for me. I don't think I'd read it even if I'd read the manga it's a cross with, which I haven't.

Sounds vaguely interesting, though I didn't like the manga, myself...so my enjoyment would likely be highly limited.

Out of curiosity, though, where do Jusenkyo curses, Shmapoo, Mousse, Cologne, Happosai, Ukyo, Konatsu, Kuno, Kodachi, and the rest of the gang fit in? Does Ryoga turn into a pig in any way? I rather suspect his weapon form is that of a giant warhammer or mallet, though, given who he's synching with. Was Ranma promised as a weapon to other weapons technicians, ie, Ukyo? Does Kodachi even know Ranma's a weapon, just thinking he's a hot guy, or is she also after a weapon? Or does she perhaps think, somehow, he's a weapons technician, and Kodachi herself is actually a weapon? And a similar issue with Kuno...is he a weapon that wants to be used by Akane? If so, does that imply that he thinks that Ranma's female form is a technician? Or is he just a hornball that doesn't care whether it's a weapon or a technician? Does Shampoo come from a tribe of rogue technicians that kill off any rival technicians, but take any weapon that manages to defeat them for their own? Etc, etc, etc.

Been thinking things out but was trying to to overwhlem the rather small main cast of soul eater with the entire wrecking crew in one go. would trickle them in over time after the four get 'settled' into the group.

so many questions.

yes Ryoga is a warhammer, but you saw that coming, fits him well too so it's not too far off.

Other jusenkyo curses I have been debating on how exactly to fit them in. Ranma's is the easiest to slip in. so I'll have to hold that answer for now.

Genma, learning how fickle his son's syncing was made several back up promises just in case things didn't work out with the tendos (we love you genma)... Ukyo and Shampoo are both technicians.

The kunos I was debating on... Kodachi makes a perfect candidate for a witch in her attitude, hobbies, etc. I'm thinking I make her a witch with an obsession of claiming Ranma as he's not only handsome but a powerful weapon. Something she should own. Tatewaki I'm thinking would not be aware of his sisters witchcraft and be a technician with Sasuke as his blade. he is courting Akane (unsuccessfully) and wants to claim the mysterious red headed weapon for his own (he wants them both :p)

Shampoo is still from the amazon tribe, mousse is her current weapon but she wants to find a powerful on of her own... Mouse is another multi weapons (as expected) and is quite capable of fighting without changed fully but is blind as canon so is' more effective when shampoo uses him. He wasn't to defeat and absorb Ranma to prove he is the stronger weapon and worthy to be Shampoos partner (she doesn't respect him so they don't sync too well)

hm... the more I think about it the less I'm feeling the ranma as a weapon aspect... it's certainly doable but Ranma's character is so independent when it comes to a fight that I can't see it working... that and I think I'm abusing the multi weapon thing too much... as Tsubaki and her clan seem to be the only multi weapons out there. (at least the only ones shown in the first 26 chapters)...

I'll have to think more on it... either reversing the idea and have Ranma the Master with most of the girls prospective weapons or just as a 'strong souled' human with potential to step up after the escape of the first Kishin... hm...

Having recently watched ludicrous amounts of Nanoha, I will suggest this.

Have Ranma's sword form turn from a sword into a bow a la Levantine. And because Ranma is a martial artist, have him have a habit of shouting out whatever form he's changing into. So he can enthusiastically shout "BOW FORM!" or the like.

But on to the non silly suggestion. This idea has a lot of potential, and it would be interesting. I agree with the use of a Bow of some sort, but maybe have him changing and adapting his forms. So when he first starts out and Nabiki expresses a distaste for melee combat, Ranma heads out into the night and picks up the Bow form. The first time Nabiki tries it, Ranma forms into a dinky little hunting bow. They fight something- and Nabiki is forced to go with Sword!Ranma because the bow doesn't have the range or power to win the fight. The next little arc could have Ranma 'perfecting' his 'art', including optimizing his transformations to fit his Meister.

Eventually, I could see Nabiki with a longbow of some sort. While people often express a 'feeling' that she would be better suited with a gun, I think this gives in to an oft used cliche and should be avoided. Besides a Bow is a more neutral weapon, and less likely to get the police after you, Soul Weapon or not. (Guns are illegal in japan, if you forgot)

As for the curses, I think that as standard they should turn their bearers into whatever the curse is. But in their weapon forms... that's a different story. Maybe Jusenkyo is related to the Soul Weapon Quest. Or maybe the magic doesn't mesh with the inherent magic of Soul Weapons.

So Nabiki wielding Ranma is splashed with water, and Nabiki is left wielding a weapon that is more suited to her tastes- even exactly suited to her tastes perhaps. The curse could have been designed as a kharmic training tool- to get Soul Weapons to learn that perceived weakness is not the same as actual weakness, and to overcome their fears.

Ranma's fear, naturally, would be of being like a girl- Genma would have taught him that girls don't have the strength to be Soul Weapons, that they have neither the resolve nor the willpower to make it through a fight in the hands of another warrior. Sort of a character thing.

So when Ranma is turned into a girl, his weapon form shifts from a male form (which would probably focus on big flashy stuff) to a female form, which focuses more on comaptibility, speed, and other stuff.

Ryoga's insecurity is his size- being defenseless. While his primary form would be some sort of giant warhammer- and probably enjoy being partnered with someone like Akane, his cursed form would be small, thin, and not a big hulking weapon. Maybe some sort of small hammer, rather ten a giant mallet. Or maybe a wooden stave- that'd be a kick in the guts. At first he'd be terribly afraid of fighting in cursed weapon form because he wouldn't be able to see the merits of not having the giant offence/defence he's used to. Only after a lot of work would he be able to adapt and learn that he doesn't /have/ to be a giant warhammer all the time.

I suggest you read A Tale of Two Wallets for an idea on how Ranma’s ability would work. In it Young Happosai was a very small man of slight build, quite unpromising for a candidate who would go on to become the greatest martial arts master of our age, Cologne notwithstanding. He had been picked on mercilessly by the people of the village of his birth, so as a youth he fled his homeland to wander the world in search of knowledge. He thought if he could master the arts taught to him by his father in Okinawa he could return home one day in triumph. So it was he found himself in the lands of the Nyanchiczu, tired, hungry and exhausted, to collapse almost literally at the feet of a young warrior named Kho Lon.

When Happosai came to live with Cologne she saw a side to him that few others even knew existed, the part that he keeps hidden in his own heart, the part of him that identifies with small and helpless things that need a protector. Cologne saw kindness and generosity where others saw only a warped little man with a twisted nature. It soon came to light that Happosai had a dark secret in that he had a strong love for…shall we say…improperly fondling and ogling at women? Being shunned by the women in his village, he compensated for the absence of feminine interest in his person by stealing trinkets and copping a feel towards any woman who came within grope range. Cologne was the only one he did not molest in such an improper manner, whereas it was the rejection of others that fueled his perverted obsessions.

It is like the rest of his reprehensible conduct and generally selfish behavior, something to be justified on the grounds of his insecurity. In his mind he is neither a villain nor a victim but simply a man who does what he needs to do in order to satisfy his baser appetites. Of course this sort of self-justification and indulgence is the reasons why the Council of Elders banished him to the peripheral territory outside the village.

Cologne spoke out on his behalf however and her word carried weight even in those days. Which is why his penalty wasn’t harsher. She was a young girl in love, and Happosai was kind to her as he was to no one else, just as she was the only one who showed him any kindness. Sadly he could not control his wicked compulsion to bother and molest the rest of our village and once he lost the good graces of his only protector it was the loss of his one chance to be redeemed.

It was during this time that he met the demoness Ganglot and made his wish to become the Most Evil Martial Arts Master in the World. After that he went on to a life of perversity far greater than merely stealing the treasures of the Amazons and leaving Cologne embittered and heartbroken. At first he was content to steal the undergarments of the women he coveted, if only to smell the scent of their bodies and thus feel closer to them than he could get in real life, but then he began to gain a lust for more personal objects of adornment. Like a magpie he started to covet the artifacts and objects of power that were created by the Lore Masters and Mages of many previous generations. Every house had its own object of power that was venerated by the daughters of the most prominent families of Amazon society. In Cologne’s case it was a mirror that can be used to transverse the boundaries of time, one she prized very much but was willing to sell to pay for the food Happosai stole from other members of the village. It had been the legacy of her mother, and when Happosai stole it from her, it was like stealing a piece of her heart which is probably why he took it.

He left the lands of the Amazons with their artifacts in tow and began to wander the world in search of other young ladies that he could bother. It was around this time period that he befriended the nearly identical Rakkyosai, but stole his tablet of rainbow colored ink (used to create 'perfect' female breast prints), which presumably ended the friendship. In time he returned to Japan, already quite old yet greatly changed in essence, made almost immortal by his quest for personal power and glory. He was rather set in his ways and by then used to being misunderstood by others, but a curious thing happened one day some seventy or eighty years back when he was on one of his usual panty raids, cruising through the suburbs of then-modern Tokyo in search of new women to harass he met and fell in love with a woman who would become his one and only wife, a lady named Nanamiya Shinko. She bore him a daughter who went on to become Ranma Saotome great grandmother.

By change Ganglot from a demon to a True God and have her turn Happosai to A Kishin whose affinity resides in the Madness of Perversion.

For Ranma I suggest giving him a sychable soul. His initial weapon form changes based on the person who wields him. Essentially his physical form becomes a representation of the Meister’s inner psyche. This could be why he is able absorb new forms his synchable soul allows him to morph their form via the souls of other weapons he’s absorbed.

As for the Nekoken that could be Happosai’s corruption the kishin blood in their body means that the Saotome’s are sensitive to Madness Genma’s could Madness of Greed, Ranma’s would be the Madness of Fear the Nekoken could be Genma’s way of focusing it so that Ranma is only effected by it when in the presence of cats.

I think the ego and pride should be Genma’s usual attempts to control and abuse Ranma. while his synchable soul means that any one could wield him be able to fully utilize Ranma’s abilities they would have to be Utility Meister which are extremely rare. Ranma is independent as a fighter and that will play a big part but putting the entire thing on him makes him come across as an entitled bastard. Finally I think it would be better to have Ranma transform into a katana instead of a tai chi straight blade, given who his mother it makes more sense.

As for the three tribes Joketsuzoku, Musk, and Pheonix People they could be a group of Gods, Bushin and Kenjin who banded together to defeat Ganglot. Saffron could be the True God who led them. the Musk gain their abilities from Eating Animal Souls. Mousse can’t be a another multi weapons. The reason Tsubaki transform into multiple types of Demon Weapons is a direct descendants of the first set of weapons made by Arachne Gorgon this is why I suggested the synchable soul for Ranma. So why not have it be just an innate ability of his. Just like Maria can manipulate lightning Mousse can transform into Chained Weapons instead of just chains.
