Ok, I'm going to have to reccommend to everyone Shaun Garin's twin fics, Mahora Sensei Keitaro! (Side A) and Love Negima! (Side B).
The premise of the two fics is pretty simple: Keitaro winds up landing Negi's canon job as an English teacher at an all-girl's junior high, and ze ten-year old English wizard Negi Springfield winds up becoming caretaker of the Hinata Sou as part of his wizardry training. The two fics follow each main character's story (Side A featuring Keitaro's life at Mahora, and Side B Negi's life at Hinata), and need to be read together to make much sense (typically, it's "Read Chapter 1 of Side A, then Read Chapter 1 of Side B, before moving on to Chapter 2 of Side A and then Side B" and so on and so forth), but altogether they're both excellent halves to a superb main storyline.
Highlights thus far: Keitaro and Konoka meeting up with characters from an earlier Akamatsu work called "Itsudatte My Santa!" and partaking on a Christmas Eve present delivery to Hinata Sou, Negi meeting up with Seta (who turns out to have journeyed with Nagi along with Haruka and Sarah's mom years before), Keitaro bringing the Baka Rangers + the Library Exploration Group to Hinata Sou for a summer vacation that ends with Konoka being kidnapped (like in the Kyoto arc in the manga) and the subsequent rescue attempt that leaves Negi with about eight pactios (Asuna, Konoka, Setsuna, Nodoka, Haruna, Shinobu, Su, and Sarah), Motoko and Setsuna teaming up to kick the ass Shinmei Ryu style, Keitaro getting bitten by Evangeline, who then makes a pactio with him and uses him as her Ministra during her bridge battle with Negi + Asuna, Konoka, and Setsuna while Chachamaru fends off Motoko and company, and probably a lot more that I haven't read up to yet. Overall, it's something I'd reccommend reading whenever you get the chance.
