LVL 80 or bust

If you don't want to do melee, then don't.

Just go do some quests in icecrown/storm peaks for level 78ish caster greens or buy some from AH, then just spam through heroics as an undergeared boomkin.

It'll take a while, sure, but you can easily pick up even better gear than ilv 232 with justice points. The only thing you can't pick better from justice point loot is a necklace (ilv 226), weapon (none available), boots/wrists (ilv 213).

Better yet, even if you're in crappy greens, you should still be able to queue for the ToC/ICC heroics which have better upgrades than other heroics, simply because you had a 232 set, instead of having to deal with the 'You need better gear' lockout.

Alternatively, just suffer for four weeks, and then pick up superior quest greens while doing cataclysm. =p

You mean 5 weeks. Blizzard always releases huge-ass patches to make an expansion playable a week after it actually comes out.

You don't need to go too far to get geared before cata just enough that you can take down mobs your level range without too much problem. When cata hits you'll be replacing all those gear with quest greens anyways, mind you the epics from wrath raids will last a few levels before needing an upgrade but there's no rush to really gear yourself.

They'll last till lvl 82. Then you'll start seeing lots of better stuff as quest rewards and random world drops.

I slept most of Sunday. ( :headbanger: ), but I did manage to knock out a good number of quests. Unfortunately, a lot of those were between both continents because the cross-continent stuff (seriously, I know it's common for experts to wind up traveling, but some of the quest chains are batshit crazy with this).

I'd stupidly thought I should gather up all of the quests in a zone and knock them out.... but I stupidly chose Azshara to start this idea.... only to realize I needed either Honored rep with the Hydraxian Waterlords (I think I'm 5/1000 Neutral with them) or I had to start the quest chain on the other continent. :headbanger:

I thought it was a good idea at the time... :blue: Still, I managed to slam out 42 quests in Kalimdor and 24 in EK.

Edit:

547/685 for Kalimdor
378/550 for Eastern Kingdom
925/1235 total for old world

I tried focusing on Kalimdor, but so many quest chains send me to Eastern Kingdoms. I kid you not, at least 18 quest chains I found in the last three days on Kalimdor have, at some point, sent me to Uldaman, Sunken Temple, Scarlet Monastery, or Booty Bay. -_-

Likewise, a number of quests I found recently in EK have sent me to ZF, one of the Razorfen, Felwood, Azshara, Un'goro or to the racing fields in Shimmering Flats. :(

But at least I'm picking up those "clear dungeon" achievements and amusing myself by trying to find the most anti-boss music possible.

Current picks right now: Caramelldansen, Popipo, the Nyanroll, Still Annoyed (a parody version of "Still Alive" from Portal) and Boom De Yada.

Finally felt that I could run some dungeons and not feel like a total noob, seem most stuff is still tank'n'spank but hey thats life. Did the sylvanus quest for icecrown, got them all except halls of reflection, :headbanger: forgot to turn it into her before porting to Dal, didn't think of trying to go back till this morning...... okay I seem to still be a noob.
