There is always room for innovation. Also, why the need to branch off to a style that only focused on close range/melee combat? Fate seems to be doing fine as a combat mage that favored melee fights.

because if you are only good at close range it makes sense than using one that puts you at a disadvantage.


Besides let us remember the new hybrid belkan style mixes both mid and belkan, the ancient Belkan that the wolkienrieter use is a rare practice by only a handful of people, we are just use to seeing the majority of them.


Also Fate was trained in Mid at a time where the belkan and new belkan styles didn't exist and fate is majorly close range but part of her style and by no small means is long range attacks so it makes sense.

If I am wrong or disagree I am not going to start something.


That actually is a good point about the ancient mid style though. Then again how many of the new characters use mid at all.

Possibly since ancient Belkan is or at least was nearly a dead magic style it would be talked about more. Who knows so much of the series uses anceint belkan artifacts or legacies since A's
