Akamatsuverse Mah Sensei Negima! : M Hitotsu no Sekai

Well, the first new Negima OAD, Mah Sensei Negima!: M Hitotsu no Sekai was released today. Its not subbed yet, as far as I can tell, but that probably won't take too long. This one goes through the whole getting to England and the fight with Fate at the Gate and then ends as they're being teleported away.

The Next episode comes out November 17th, then May 17th, 2010 for the third and September 17th, 2010 for the last, with a possible theatrical film made afterward, if sales are good.

Just watched the OVA sub. And i declare it to be Officially AWESOME!

Animation Awesome, Voice acting top notch, Faithful to the Manga, Combat scenes were almost Perfect, and save for the 3 min deadline taking about 10mins I have 0 problems with the entire OVA.

We finally have our selves a big WINNER.

The only complaint I have is the transformation sequence being too long.

But that's mostly because it reminds me far too much of the original Negima anime, and the one that followed that one.

I really liked this one. It kept the feel of the manga even though it cut out a lot.

Also, scene with Konoka healing... I ROFL'ed. A haiku then a naked dance+hug = funny.

Uh, did Negi just pull out a stone spear that Fate launched into his chest and beat the guy's face in with it after he threatened his students? Because DAMN.

Overall I have few complaints. The Haiku chant was a little weird (Echo it up a bit like the spell chants and it would have been considerably less so), but beyond that RAW AWESOME. Especially the fight scenes, which I'm usually picky about, these however flowed very nicely. That it's so faithful to the manga chapters is also a cause for a few manly tears to leak out from my eyes. Also, we apparently see a brief glimpse of Dark Negi in the opening song, which was awesome. Oh this has oh so much promise.

I think I'll resurrect this again.

So apparently, after they released the DVD of this latest episode, they made a whole extra episode devoted to the Yue scenes, showing Yue's appearance in the Magical Knight School, the meeting with Collet and so on, up to the point where the four students defeat the dragon in the middle of the broom race.

It got its own OP and ED songs and animations as well, for amusement.

Episode 4 reaffirmed my absolute love of Chisame. Seeing her in the Magical world OVA's really reminds me why I love her so much as a cast member.

I think she'll be right under Nodoka. Yue migth have droped a point or two, as she's lost all her memory.

I'd put the top 3 as Nodoka, Chisame, Chachamaru. Yue and Ku are probabaly right after that.
