Ranma ½ Mahora Madness

Beginning Premise:

Ranma tries to cure his curse using something untested. Cologne tries to stop him, but gets to him too late. He is cured, but his female half is now a separate person. She has his memories, his skills, but her own personality. She considers Ranma her Oniichan/Big Brother, and Ranma who deep down always wanted a sibling decides to accept her as his imouto/little sister. Hilarity and total chaos ensue when Kuno, the NWC, and everyone at Furinkan meet her. She takes the name Rumiko rather than keeping the name Ranma or Ranko. After a timeskip, it's just days after graduation when a strange old man comes to the dojo. He reveals himself as the Dean of Mahora Academy, and he wants to hire Rumiko as a PE teacher for the Jr. High School. He also wants her help Mahora build a Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics team with her as head coach. All this is a pretense, because Ranma's family is related to a powerful miko from the Feudal Era, and Rumiko has inherited this power. This makes her a target for those who want to get their hands on that power, and there are those at Mahora who can teach her to use her gifts so she can one day protect herself. Rumiko accepts the job.

Here's a few test scenes I just threw together to give you an idea of what the story will be like:

Scene 1: It's the night of the full moon, and Rumiko is out to keep Evangeline on a tight leash. The young vampire, however, will have none of it...

"Awww, you look so cute when you're mad fangface."

Evangeline stomped with fury, her face turning red. "Stop calling me that!

"Chachamaru!" she glanced to the side at her maid outfit clad protector.

A pair of small dish antenna extended from the sides of the android's head. "Scanning." Evangeline smiled a toothy grin, she couldn't wait to find out what her sensei's blood tasted like. She'd savor every drop, especially after all the trouble the woman put her through tonight.

"You can't hide, Chachamaru is equipped with the most state of the art technology," the adolescent vampire gloated. "She'll find you, and then you will learn why I am know as the Dark Evangel."

The sound of a yawn seemed to come from everyone and nowhere all at once. "Yeah, yeah, but you gotta find me first fangface."

Eva ground her teeth in rage. "Haven't you found her yet?" she demanded.

"Apologies, master, I am unable to detect her current location." Chachamaru replied, bowing respectfully.

"That....that's impossible!" Eva couldn't believe what she was hearing. This insufferable excuse for a teacher had no magical powers to speak of, yet she could cloak herself from Chachamaru's senses. There was no way she was doing this with her spiritual gifts, she wasn't that good with them yet. She couldn't be.

Evangeline fumed, "Where are you, show yourself!"

"I'm right here." the whisper at her left ear made her nearly jump out of her skin. She blushed even deeper as Rumiko stood there laughing and pointing.

"You should so see your face right now, you look like a candied apple."

"CHACHAMARU!" Eva screamed. The blonde android instantly sprang into action. Evangeline washed as she tried to land a hit, but the redhead just seemed to flow around Chachamaru's blows like water. There was almost an elegance to how Rumiko sensei moved, almost like it was a dance. Chachamaru was programmed to know nearly every martial arts style in the world, yet she was being massively, laughably outclassed.

"I'm not trying to hurt your master, Chacha-chan." she heard the redhead say without any indication that she was being winded at all. "But, I can't let her go around biting people either."

Eva gaped at her, "I'm a vampire you twit, it's what we do!"

"So!" she watched Rumiko sensei dodge a kick, then backed away as she performed a somersault that put her within arm's reach.

"I'm sure the dean would arrange for you to get a blood pack on nights of the full moon if you asked him nicely." Eva could only look at her with disgust.

"A blood pack.....a blood pack.....a blood pack.....A BLOOD PACK!?" she was so close now. Eva took her chance and lunged. The redhead made no effort to dodge, but one hand came up with impossible speed. Her vision was suddenly blocked by a piece of paper, and Eva was suddenly paralyzed. She couldn't believe this was happening. There was a seal on her forehead, a bloody SEAL! How could she have been so careless!

"I think you need a timeout, Draculoli." she could almost feel the infuriating redhead smiling at her.

"Master!" she heard Chachamaru exclaim, then heard and felt a powerful whump as something hit the ground....really hard. Bits of dirt and grass pelted her head and shoulders.

"The fight's over, Chacha-chan." said Rumiko sensei. "As I said, I'm not trying to hurt your master, and I don't want to hurt you either, so just stay down. It's about an hour til dawn anyway."

Evangeline almost felt like crying, tears began welling up in her eyes. "What...what are you?"

She felt Rumiko's hand gently ruffle her hair. "Sometimes, I wish I knew."

Scene 2: Rumiko gets an unexpected visitor. Because construction of a new staff dormitory only recently started, she was given her own room at the girl's dorm. Rumiko can see and talk to Sayo because she's a miko. The little ghost girl regards her like an older sister.

Rumiko only knew only one person with that gentle sounding knock. She turned off the sink, dried her hands, and went to the door. Sure enough, there stood the second girl in class 1-A who reminded her of Kasumi. The other was Chizuru, who seemed a bit too well developed to be a Jr. High School girl.

"What can I do for you Nodoka-chan?" she leaned down get a good look at the girl's cute face, it always made Nodoka blush.

"Rumiko sensei, there is someone at the dorm entrance asking about you." the bookworm said in that oh so gentle voice.

Rumiko turned her head to peer down the hall. "Oh man, I hope it's not the old freak." She didn't know if Happosai was into lolis or not, but then the girls of Mahora Academy weren't like your typical junior High School girls. Maybe it was something in the water, or the because of the presence of so much magic in the area. After closing her door, she follow Nodoka to the dorm's front entrance. Rumiko tensed up, preparing herself for anything. What she saw was completely unexpected.

"Nabs?" It was Nabiki. On either side of her was a set of rolling luggage.

"Hey, long time no see." the middle Tendo sister smiled. Rumiko had grown to miss that smile.

She looked at Nabiki's luggage, "Did you move out? Are you still looking for a university?" Nabiki shook her head.

"No," she sighed. "Daddy found out about my...interests." Rumiko cringed, she could only imagine how Soun would react to learning one of his daughters was a practicing lesbian.

"He didn't kick me out, I just couldn't stand hearing him constantly crying about never having grandchildren." Rumiko just rolled her eyes. He'd get plenty of grandchildren from her oniichan and Akane, assuming he'd survive the attempt.

"Thanks Nodoka-chan, I got it from here." the bookworm nodded and went back inside.

"Who was that little cutie?" Nabiki asked. "You getting a taste for the younger ones, Rumi-chan?"

Rumiko smirked, "Nodoka's one of my students. She's an adorably gentle little thing, kinda reminds me of Kasumi."

Nabiki laughed, "Don't let Happosai near this place."

Rumiko shushed her, "Hush, invoking his name gets his attention. You know he was never human, the little old pervert is pure demon through and through." Nabiki just stared at her for a moment.

"Serious, he's actually a real demon?" Rumiko nodded.

"Yep, he's the real deal, and the old ghoul knew the truth all this time and never once told us." Rumiko frowned, remembering the day Cologne told her she knew Happi wasn't entirely human.

          "Well, that explains a lot."

"There's another reason why I'm here." Rumiko looked at her questioningly.

Nabiki pulled an envelope from her purse. "I received a full scholarship from Mahora University. You didn't have anything to do with this, did you?"

Rumiko waved her hands in front of her, "No, I had nothing to do with it. I'm kinda of a big deal around here, but I don't have that kind of pull."

"Besides, I thought you had your sights set on Toudai?" she remembered how much Nabiki wanted to get into Toudai, how she stayed up late studying for the entrance exams.

Nabiki just laughed, "Mahora is infinitely more prestigious than Toudai. Graduating from here will look really good on a resume."

"Always thinking three steps ahead, come on in, I'll show you my place." Rumiko laughed. She helped her get her luggage through the door, then lead her down the hall to her room.

"I thought you were a teacher here," Nabiki looked around. "Why do you live in a student dorm?"

"Construction on new faculty housing just got started, so I'll have to crash here until it's done." Rumiko opened her door and helped Nabiki get her stuff inside. She went to the kitchen while Nabiki looked the place over.

"Pretty roomy for a jr. high school dorm," she spotted the bunk bed and sat down the lower bunk. "You have a roommate?"

Rumiko shook her head, "Nope, not technically, I have the room all to my lonesome. Except when Sayo-chan comes to visit."

Nabiki gave her a coy look, "And, who is Sayo-chan?"

"A little ghost girl who haunts the campus, I'm the only one who can see her." Rumiko came to sit down next to her with two cups of steaming coffee. Nabiki accepted one, sipped it gingerly, then eagerly gulped it down.

          "That's good coffee!" she said.

"Freshly ground," Rumiko smiled. "Tell Kasumi I figured out her secret." She winked.

Then she sighed, she missed everyone back home. Her work kept her here, she had no time at the moment to pay everyone a visit. The only people from back home she'd seen in the past six months was Ryoga and Cologne. The idiot thought she was Ranma, and Cologne came to offer her honorary membership in the tribe. It made her a Shield Sister to Shampoo, but she was exempt from the usual rules regarding outsiders. She hadn't heard from anyone else. Ukyo barely noticed her when she was there, reserving all of her attention for her brother. Kodachi noticed her though, but knowing she was Ranma's sister meant their fights were more for fun than they were serious.

"How is everybody back in Nerima?" she asked.

"Akane's pregnant." she nearly did a spit take.

"WHAT!?" nobody even bothered to call her and tell her.

Nabiki nodded, "She found out a couple of nights before I left. We decided to keep it a secret from daddy, but Kasumi knows."

"And, is my brother still alive?" she had to ask the question.

Nabiki laughed, "She was the one who jumped him. A month ago I heard loud noises from the dojo, I thought they were fighting, so I took a peek inside. Let's just say, they were working off a couple of years worth of pent up frustration."

Rumiko laughed at that, she could just imagine, and with her recent perverted thoughts she was able to imagine a lot. Both of them sat their empty mugs down and just sat there for a moment in silence. Then, Rumiko felt Nabiki's hand on hers, and she let go of the reins she held on her emotions. She turned in time to meet Nabiki's lips, she gave no resistance as the larger girl pushed her down. She could feel Nabiki's ample chest press against her's.

"I've missed you so much." Hours later, she lay in Nabiki's arms. Her naked, sweat drenched body still quivered from the aftershocks of their lovemaking. Rumiko was so happy it was midday, so most of the students would be out and about and not in their rooms. They tried to be quiet, with enthesis on the word "try".

First thing: From what I can see there's little to no reason to make a Rumiko character. She acts similar to Ranma and there doesn't seem to be any trait to her character that stems from being a gender bent clone. Normally Ranko fics keep Ranma around, and as the star, to contrast. If all you want is a female Ranma it's a simple thing just to have him locked as a girl for whatever reason for her tenure at Mahora. Maybe the cure split Ranma but didn't create a different person to inhabit the body, or Ranma failed to be cured of the Locking Ladle, or even Ranma is trying to avoid debt collectors and has to hide out as a girl for a couple years till they think he's dead.

Second, Getting Ranma to Mahora: There's really no need for the dean to go out and get Ranma other than to add "Specialness points", in any story that happens in it's because the character has some significant roll to play in their future plans, it was a spur of the moment decision and not the reason they met in the first place, or the character isn't the only one they recruited.

Third, being a Miko: I don't really have an issue with this. It isn't really necessary but it can be something that can useful for adding extra bits to the story. It can even be used to explain some past bits in Ranma canon with how the Saotomes are always recruited to deal with pesky cursed items and restless spirits. It should have a major impact on fighting capability though, this seems more useful as a literary device to add plot hooks. It can be a convenient excuse to get Ranma around Mana who is a practicing Miko. On a side note it'd be interesting if this Shinto lineage came from Genma's side of the family.

Fourth, Evangeline: No mater how good Ranma is she should be capable of effortlessly taking on Evangeline even in her unpowered state. The witch is a Master of Aikido and her own use of strings makes her a powerful opponent even without Magic. She's capable of easily taking apart Setsuna. I also have my doubts that Umisenken would allow him to hide from technology since it's about removing the ego to go unnoticed.

Ok, in order of paragraph...

1. I wanted to keep Ranma and Akane's growing relationship as an ongoing story in far background to contrast Rumiko's own quest to find an identity for herself. She has all of his memories and all of his martial arts skills (post Saffron arc). Essentially, she's his feminine side given flesh trying to understand the meaning of her own existence. The fact that male Ranma is still out there is always in the background, always on her mind as she works to create memories that are entirely her own. Ranma won't stay in the far background forever, he and Akane will appear from time to time after her first year at Mahora. Nabiki, though, will play a larger role as Rumiko's lover.

2. What will be revealed in the story is that "certain interested parties" will have been watching Ranma for some time to see if his cursed half begins showing sign of spiritual powers. After Ranma's cure attempt, these parties become impatient, and decide to "test" Rumiko. She fights them off, thinking they're some new threat who mistook her for her brother. It's revealed in the fight that she does have the gifts, so the Kansai Magic Association decides to take steps to prevent her from falling into the wrong hands. It's the Dean's idea to hire her as a Gym teacher on the pretense of the school building a Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics team. And, knowing that this has to be handled carefully to avoid misunderstandings with someone who easily defeated Saffron of the Phoenix People, he decides to go himself rather than send a letter or delegate the task to anyone else. Though, he could have easily sent Takahata instead.

3. It is from Genma's side of the family actually. That's part of the idea, all of the strangeness which has come into Ranma's life was due to this hidden nature. The story begins one year before Negi comes to Mahora, during that time Rumiko teaches class, builds a team for the school, and gets training at the shrine on campus on how to use her abilities. Later on, she'll play a bigger role in what happens with Negi and the girls. During the Kyoto field trip she'll have a chance to demonstrate just how far she's come, and just how much of a force to reckon with she'll eventually be in the future.

4. Evangeline is good, but she didn't go through the insane training that Ranma did, and Rumiko has this same skill and experience. The idea of Anything Goes is to use techniques from multiple martial arts styles to create one which is infinitely adaptable to any situation. Evangeline may be a master of Aikido, but because of her training Rumiko seriously outclasses her. Also, just like Ranma would, Rumko figures out ways of combining her growing arsenal of spiritual powers with her martial arts. Eventually, she and Evangeline come to an understanding and frenemies. She's even invited to use Eva's resort where she can go all out without fear of causing significant damage to the campus grounds.

Hundreds of years worth of Combat Experience > 10 years of intense training, flat out. Hell, Cologne only has a few decades over Ranma and he can't do shit to her.

See that's your problem Zorch. You start at "Ranma beats Evangeline lololol" and have no better justification for it but "muh ten years of martial arts training". PS. We have no idea how hard they trained considering 99.9% of the training trip is never shown.

Have you actually read Negi Zorch? Because you sound an awful lot like a biased nerd rooting for his favorite character against someone he barely knows shit about.

@Ero, a good point for as far as it goes, but all we know about Eva's unarmed combat training is that she learned Aikido (I think it was Aikido anyway) from the founder, and I think the line was "100 years ago". Yes she does have roughly a thousand year of combat experience, but most of it would be magical, but martial arts

Eva embarrassed Setsuna in a sealed state. She's literally fought in wars, magic and otherwise. Ranma does not beat that level of experience. In no form can he beat Cologne, after all. Or is Cologne better than her, too?

Only in her dreams. And there's always the various vampire/demon hunters, lolicons, and various slavers that Eva would / might have had to deal with. The woman maybe stuck in a child's body, but she's the Bruce Lee of the magical world.

Eva vs Cologne? Cologne goes down hard. Like Ranma vs Kuno when Kuno's got a concussion, hard. No contest.

Hmmm... one point though. A post manga Ranma might, not because he is inherently better than eva, so I would not think it a curbstomp per se, but Ranma beat Saffron, and Herb. One must remember Ranma had by that point gotten used to punching above his weight level, so to speak.

The problem comes in though, when Eva stops bothering to match Ranma on the physical and martial level, and goes pure magical...

This debate is pointless. If Zorch wants his super badass Ranma who styles for days he can have it.

About Eva,
She's the bruce lee of the magic world due to her Godly magic, not her pure hand fighting skills.Claiming that she has 100 of years of experience is hilarious when you remember that her magic is several class above 99.999% of the people and is elemental ice ,most people don't even get close to her for her to resort to using hand to hand combat. 100 years*.001 time using akido= 12+ years of intense training physically against opponent capable of threatening you due to you not outclassing them in strength/speed/power by hundred of folds.

Next, the point of being a main character is that you're able to develop very quickly when necessary in the story. In one of the few serious arc, Ranma was able to accelerate strength, speed, power so much that he was utterly destroying Ryoga without effort in mere weeks. When push come to shove he was able to create a speed rushing move that up his speed even further by 200 folds or more.
http://forums.hero-academia.com/xfa-blog-entry/ranma-1-2-feat-ranmas-punching-speed.18448/
Looking at this website show that Ranma estimated speed at the time was Mach 113(Human perception) or Mach 11.52(human speed Peak*200).
About 10-100 times faster than what was depicted by Setsuna or Negi before they reach the magic world.
But remember this as well.
X=original speed
Y=Ranma Upgraded base speed after training
Z=Y*200
We only got x*200...
It could've easily been mach 20+-400+ for all we know.Remember that this was only around volume 10 of the story and that you can easily extrapolate Ranma to be much faster than that later on.

What does the above mean?If Ranma can get close to Evangeline, entirely possible since she's underestimating him,he can easily overwhelm her due to a surprise acceleration. Espescially since this version of her is sealed, right? The version that's only going about NORMAL human speed.Unless you really beleive
Setsuna skill=Ranma skill?Really?Bodyguard the cut off her emotion due to her failure to protect her master and have a "normal life" vs someone who traveled the world and overcome countless challenges.
*Setsuna eventually beat Evangeline after overcoming her self-fear*
Evangeline quote before the match
"Certainly, that might be true if the you in the past had gotten serious but if it's the cowardly you right now...It's easily possible for me to play you to death, even at my weakest condition"

Going on to strength,Ranma feat when he push the giant boulder, using a lower speed lowballing it, was estimated to be at Class G. At least one step,1000+ time, stronger than Negi/Setsuna before they enter the magic world.Remember, lifting feats are superior showing of strength than random debris everywhere.

Ranma world is a world in which you can order a suit that make a nerd as strong as Ranma, have a person grow 200+ time faster in speed in the span of a single month or less, have a special sword that make it's wielder capable of owning Ranma, have countless rivals that're capable of threatening him in spite of growth throughout the story.

You guys are vastly underestimating Ranma world.

ShinLance, Evangelion should be Evangeline. Evangelion is a whole different sort of crossover.

Evangeline trained with a "tiny old man" in Japan, and learnt to redirect the force of an opponent's strikes to send them flying.

Now where have I heard that before...? Oh yeah:

Pretty sure it was just a shout-out, but if you're actually doing a crossover then it means that Evangeline may have actually studied "Anything Goes."

Ero-Sennin....Interesting you didn't attack any of my statements but simply call me stupid. Coming from your posting history on spacebattles and vindictiveness on anyone that has a different opinion from yourself, especially anyone daring to favor Ranma....I have no respect for you.You need to be 3 step less bias in your attempted of an analysis before you get past my bullshit meter.
Let me go through all your post one by one.
----------------
"Hundreds of years worth of Combat Experience > 10 years of intense training, flat out. Hell, Cologne only has a few decades over Ranma and he can't do shit to her."

Overexaggeration or Lying - Colonge is 118 years old based on Wikia and probably have 113 years of experience using your definition of "experience".That's a 100 years older than Ranma, who was still able to give her the best fight in 50 years while under the cat influence quite early on in the manga. Also sneaking up on her several times in the story as well.Somewhat fooling her with his 200 punches, even momentarily,is can't do shit?Right?
----------------------------------------------
"Eva embarrassed Setsuna in a sealed state. She's literally fought in wars, magic and otherwise. Ranma does not beat that level of experience. In no form can he beat Cologne, after all. Or is Cologne better than her, too?"

Setsuna who doesn't use her wings or special technique and was conflicted due to her feeling happy for the first time.
Setsuna who did not travel around the world learning a mutitude of martial arts.
ALSO
EVANGELION HAS "NORMAL HUMAN SPEED AND STRENGTH."
REMEMBER
"NORMAL HUMAN SPEED AND STRENGTH."
Setsuna without her wings is not one of the fastest character in the show at the time, which was stated to have borderline supersonic speed.

Thing is, though, if Eva is a practitioner of Anything Goes then she'll be better than Ranma. And a crossover where someone is better than SpaceBattlesCompetent!AlphaDog!Ranma is no good and not allowed because the author can't beat off to that.

Hmmm... that could actually be amusing to read... for various reasons Ranma seeking out a little known other user of anything goes... And author actually finding a reason not only for Ranma to learn from her despite her being a vampire, but her to teach... maybe she is bored, maybe she likes to feed her sadistic side torturing him, maybe they want to get back at the headmaster for some stupid thing he has done like perhaps lock Ranma to the campus.

Heck, potentially, he could even teach her a thing or two as well...

Ranma does have plenty of experience with sadistic mentors... I remember this one Touhou crossover fic Chibi-reaper wrote where the majority of the comedy resulted from Ranma's casual acceptance of the Gensokyo residents' violence.

Thing is that I think that Evangeline would honestly teach Ranma in an effective fashion. Sure, she'd brutalize and torture him, but ultimately she takes her duties as a mentor seriously. How much progress could he make with someone who was both a dedicated teacher, capable of planning out an effective training regime and strong enough that he wouldn't be overcoming them anytime soon?

The biggest thing is all you need is to build up to things properly. You can't start at Ranma ROFLpwns Eva because where do go from there? You had a big cool moment and it's over and now all you have left is a pile of burnt ass brussel sprouts.

Eva kept Happi as a play toy for a while before he finally managed to escape. She has a solid foundation in Happi's original Anything Goes. Ranma ends up at Mahora through shenans and ends up before stuck under her as her pupil for some reason. This gives you context for Ranma to have cool moments like maybe he gets into a fight with Fate and while he gets the crap beat out of him, he looks cool against someone that powerful. Build it up and have places to go instead of just shooting your load right away.

Crossovers wouldn't be so reviled if people stop using them as glorified versus topics.

I mean Ranma gets his butt kicked a lot in the manga.
His whole thing is that he keeps coming back for more until he finally ecks out a win.

I see Ranma fighting sealed-Eva going like Ranma´s "fights" with Ryouga right after Ryouga learned Lion´s Roar Bullet. Until it stops being funny to Eva.
