I just hope that's for real. I thought Doom was effectively retired when he declared, "I am Victor." But here's also hoping that the idea of Doom/Iron Man is along the lines of the song "Iron Man."

So Iron man technology wielded by an extremely powerful sorceror. Yeah that doesn't sound overpowered as fuck.

Resurrexion, huh? I suppose that means that Marvel/Disney wants to make their own X-Men movies, sooner rather than later.

I wonder what they'll be like, though.

Also, wondering what the lawsuit will be like, if any.

Depends on who Disney/Marvel's been rope a doping.

Think about it...Sony just about ran spiderman into the ground....but putting him in Civil War rekindled interest and made them money. Fox made Ryan Reynolds crawl through glass in order to make Deadpool more like the comic books in direct opposition to their own sensibilities....and he came up with the no 1 R rated comic book film. Daredevil went to Netflix and has been VERY successful. So Fox seeing all that success comes to a grudging realization.....if they want this to work....they're going to have to play ball with Marvel/Disney.

I mean Fox already had to approach M/D, hat in hand, to make that Legion tv series they wanted. Now....wobbling, strength spent, and X-Men Apocalypse not being the wildly successful follow up to 'Future Past' that they were hoping for...they may have given into a few of M/D's demands. Hence this Ressurrexion event in the comics..heralding the X-men looking more like their comic counterparts. I mean the Doctor Strange film will be dealing with alternate realities....how hard would it be to have a moment...one brief shinning shot of Doctor Strange looking through various realities....and seeing Wolverine or Professor Xavier.

Imagine Infinity Wars bringing Logan into the MCU, and having him go out swinging against Thanos, severely injuring him, buying the other heroes time to stop his machinations. It'd be a good way for Hugh Jackman to end his run as Wolverine.

We take the best bits from the Fox/Sony cinematic universe and fuse them with the MCU in Phase 4 with Doctor Strange serving as the focal point for this amalgamation.

King Mickey: "And from the ashes of Fox/Sonys worlds...We'll Build a BETTER ONE!" (just in time for Kingdom Hearts 3. Welcome to the danger room Sora!)

And with the mutants being overseen by Marvel....they are reborn in the comic book realm.

and Warner bros/DC trembles as they realize they may NEVER catch up.

It's pretty fucking sad that Marvel is going to kill all the mutants and transform the survivors into inhumans just because Disney and Fox hate each other.

Isn't that pretty much what Doom is to begin with?

I really only see this as a color pallet change and maybe him trying to be a little nicer for a bit. He'll probably suck at that and fall apart eventually, but would have limited success at least at first.

I seriously doubt Victor Von Doom would use Stark Tech armor. He'll build something himself as his ego wouldn't sit well with relying on someone else's technology that way. Sure, he might steal something like that, but he'd still make it his own somehow.

Tony is probably only only one or two lines down his list of people who piss him off by just existing below Reed Richards. Reed at least he has some respect for as an intellectual rival, Tony not so much. Tony is pretty much an immature boob in his book as I recall.

You know....Loki recently went through a bit of a shift in 'Loki: Agent of Asgard' becoming the god of Stories as opposed to the god of lies and/or evil. I mean he's still into Mischief and looking out for himself as "Vote Loki" shows. That said he's (so far) not interested in ruling Asgard or screwing Thor over which allows him to be a Wild Card in the universe going forward. Sure he might need to screw you over today....but tomorrows story might require him ensuring you come out ahead.

So...it's possible this will stick for Doom. Oh sure I never expect him to become like Captain America or anything...but Dooms plans and methods could see a noticeable shift towards....restraint and nobility while still being Victor VON Doom.

Though to be fair, I am of the opinion that Marvel's heroes should be allowed to retire and/or change in meaningful ways and allow new generations to rise in their place.

So Mary Jane in the Iron Man comics was pointless. Marvel made it like a big deal out of it but it wasn't.

Marvel/Fox: Legion TV series

Legion is also notable for being the first joint live-action production between Marvel and Fox since Marvel Studios hit the ground running eight years ago. Shuler Donner, who produces the X-Men movies, said she wanted something very different when making the jump to TV.

I'm guessing you probably haven't seen this yet either then:

Both of these were done by Adi Shankar, who produced Dredd, The Grey, and Lone Survivor.

Here's another of his 'Bootleg' series, Power Rangers this time:

James Bond [Connery]:

And finally Judge Dredd:

X-23 confirmed. Seems to be the main focus of the plot for the movie.

Well, it appears Disney and Fox worked something out after all.

http://www.newsarama.com/31684-what-is-this-new-x-men-titles-line-up-coming-from-resurrxion-marvel-explains.html

According to editor Mark Paniccia, the mission statement of these new ResurrXion-era X-Men titles is simply mutants being Marvel heroes.

"X-Men are heroes. Of the Marvel Universe. These mutants have saved the world enough times they deserve to be called what they are," said Paniccia.

"Extinction is no longer staring them in the face, so the X-Men can exhale and turn their attention back to doing what’s defined them since the beginning: Protecting a world that hates and fears them," said the editor. "These new titles won’t cast the X-Men as members of a species fighting for their survival but rather as big, bright, colorful super heroes who want to demonstrate to the world that they want to walk with them hand-in-hand into the future. They’ll have costumes with capes, a school, and softball games. Oh, there will be softball games. The goal is to tell exciting new X-Men stories while keeping an eye on the tropes and touchstones that longtime X-Men fans cherish."
The first...bitter taste of that terrible illusion.....hope.
