Lionhead and Press Play are no more.

Microsoft has officially closed the studios and has canceled their projects. No Fable Legends.

Seems the games division is seeing a lot of major shake ups going on, and I'm finding it harder and harder to believe their statement that they are 'absolutely not' phasing out the X-box. This might not be directly related, but the way they're moving in regard to games seems to be streamlining things, and chucking the X-box as a console is a step in that direction.

They won't admit it until it's dead of course. They're still trying to sell X-box 1's so of course they're not going to admit to it. They also don't seem to be abandoning it yet. It seems like they'll support it throughout the cycle, for now anyway.

Don't think X-box has much of a future as a console. It seems to me from information pieced from various sources that the last iteration will be nothing but a pre-built PC with the brand name slapped on it.

Microsoft is making a lot of strange moves on the PC front right now. Their new OS for games is meeting resistance from all over, and they're basically carving out segments of their gaming departments. It'll be interesting to see where things go from here.

They're also forcing ppl to upgrade to Windows 10 by gating some games for "Windows 10 only"..... its pretty dumb imo.
