Chapter 01: Millenium City
Millenium City, the so called city of the future, seen as a shining symbol of world peace.

Cliff Secord smiled as he stepped off the shining silver plane that carried him there from Los Angeles, California. Peevy had sent him to pick up some parts for the airshow on his way back from a film Jenny involved in in New York.

Ever since the incident with the nazi spy, Nevelle Sinclair, he'd carried his gear with him when he traveled after the pack was rebuilt. Howard had been somewhat annoyed with him having a copy of the plans, but the project was already canceled and had left it in their hands as he made a name for himself with the device and had "hinted" to the government that it was more of him managing to replicate the pack without having the original plans though they still wanted him to give them the new one.

He was somewhat anxious to see the city as it was a recently in place to visit.

With a full day before he had to meet the seller for the engine parts Peevy wanted, it seemed like a good time to go for a little flight as his alter ego to see the city the way he felt most cities were at their best.

Checking into the Centurion Hotel and ascending to the penthouse suite he'd been offered, Cliff got into costume.

Totenkopf surveyed the city from the window of his office atop the Panzer Building.

He took a slow drink from his beer, the texture relaxing the old Nazi slightly as his hand brushed his silvery beard.

Having achieved his position after the loss of Sinclair six months earlier, he'd achieved dominance over the infiltrators and sabateurs in this part of the United States. He was a wealthy man, a member of the aristocracy that had found the words of the Chancilor intriguing and enrapturing.

He was also a man who put a lot of his faith in the mixture of the occult and science and made him more of an amusement to his many political enemies who had dismissed him before his latest pet had crushed them for him.

Doctor Dietrich had given him an unstoppable beast to use in eliminating his enemies.

And since the actor had been a close friend of his and a relative to boot, his vengance of the one the media dubbed the Rocketeer was one such enemy.

"Mister Wolffe," Totenkopf commented to his aide, "Send my pet..."

He drew the word out for a moment as if savoring it.

"...to deal with the rocket man, my family must be avenged and with the nuisance in my city he must be stopped before the meddler interferes."

"Of course sir," came the response as the man turned to leave, his accent unplacable unlike his bosses.

As the door closed behind him, Wolffe brushed the red gem on his ring.
