But then again, going by Aya's records, she'll probably put out that issue sometime after Hayate's already well aquainted with Reimu, Marisa, and whoever else that actually cares about happenings in the Scarlet Devil Mansion.

Back to how the two would meet, that is a rather difficult question, and there are different issues that need to be addressed depending on whether the meeting take place in Gensokyo or the outside world. If the two meet in Gensokyo, the challenge would be to find a plausible way for Hayate to impress Remilia enough for her to hire him. That would be difficult as Remilia is quite self-assured and probably wouldn't give some random human a second thought. This isn't quite as much an issue if the meeting was to take place in the outside world, as Remilia would probably be unaccustomed to the outside world and confused, and thus she would be more likely to allow Hayate to become more acquainted with her and maybe impress her enough to give him a job. However, the flip side is that if Remilia gets tossed into the outside world, they're not going to have an easy time going back to Gensokyo. Yukari, the one most likely to be able to find them and bring them back to Gensokyo, would be hibernating during the winter, so she won't be getting involved. Remilia finding the way back to Gensokyo doesn't seem very likely to me, as she wouldn't be wandering out in the outside world if she could easily go back. The only other option left, the Hakurei Shrine which connects the outside world with Gensokyo, has too many unknowns, like where it's located in the outside world, and how to use it to get back to Gensokyo.

Of course, it would be much easier if it was Flandre who meets Hayate in Gensokyo. Her personality seems a bit more childish (and unstable), so she might take to Hayate quite quickly (if he doesn't immediately get killed by her anyways). But then, the problem with that is that Flandre rarely leaves the basement, much less the Mansion itself...

Huh, I suddenly had a very weird thought: What if Yuyuko or Kaguya sees the awesome new butler of Remilia and gets jealous? Cue the two trying all sorts of wacky things to try to "convince" Hayate to work for them instead, with Remilia being thoroughly opposed to any attempt at kidnapping/subverting her new butler.

For a plausible excuse, maybe it's winter where Hayate is but not in Gensokyo?

I've been fiddling around a bit with two seperate concepts that would both involve multiple crossovers...

First one is basically an alternate version of Chrono Trigger, except redone so that each age is from a different anime, with a character from each (possibly a minor one) replacing one of the main characters. Which ones, I've thought about a bit off and on...Zeal could be the Silver Millenium, Chrono's time could be from Rurouni Kenshin, perhaps, the post-apocalyptic future could be Fist of the North Star...that sort of thing. Not really wedded too firmly to any of the ideas, though...but at any rate, Lavos comes, holes in time, and things happen approximately the same way, with enough shift due to character differences and the different cultures involved...I dunno, I think it'd be interesting, though you'd have to pick series that could be reasonably justified as taking place in different points in history in the same universe.

The other one is...well, it's kind of a crossover...basically, anyone familiar with the 'Indian in the Cupboard' series? Time has passed, the key has moved on...into the hands of either some random anime otaku, or an actual character from an anime series that was more or less normal...or at least superficially so. You'd have to fiddle with canon, given that the original series just had their spirits travelling through time rather than alternate universes...but it could be an interesting read if done right. Though I think it'd be funny if Kyon had it...though I'm not sure if it would be in canon for him to want to bring them back once he found out how to return them. Plus, of course, in some of the later books, they figured out how to travel to the times of the characters, albeit in a miniature form...

Anyways, just two minor plotbunnies that haven't really been able to evolve much, mostly due to me not being able to decide on which series to hook them together with...so I thought I'd put them up here and see if anyone was interested. Which I have done. :huh.:

Gurren Lagann... a 'replace character X with character Y from other continuity for lulz'

What character to replace? The Anti-Spiral Avatar. With who?

GLaDOS.

Think about it. The Anti-Spirals obviously weren't as clear-cut about their goals, otherwise they would have destroyed all the Spirals to start with. They were waiting for someone with more determination than they that would be able to take on the Spiral Nemesis directly instead of simply preventing it. Even if they didn't realize it themselves. Much like GLaDOS' true objective wasn't to kill the subject, but to put them through a rigorous and realistic test to see if they pulled through.

Cracktastic, I know, but I just have this image of Evil!Nia talking like that... and of course, the rest of the conversations with GLaDOS would be equally hilarious.

Not sure where you'd slip in "THE CAKE IS A LIE!" but I was never good at epic speeches.

Random idea for Oh! My Goddess:

Following the Angel Eater mess, Keiichi discovers that hosting the demon familiar left... aftereffects... in him.

Specifically, it's called a Persona.

And now, he's aware of the Dark Hour... :snigger:

Idiotic Idea of the Day : I was thinking about what Lelouch said to CC near the end of the first part of Code Geass. That if she was a witch, he'll become a warlock to stay as her companion. How about he does search for that, and find in this search the Necronomicon, Al-Azif ?

So, he now have in addition to his contract with CC a contract with Al-Azif, and consequently, has access to either Aeon or Demonbane. Imagining the face Lancelot would make before going *squish* under the foot of either mecha does bring a smile to my face :p

Hmmm.... Rosario to Vampire idea time:

Put simply, what if Tsukune manages to control his Ghoul form?

We all know that there are two types of ayashi in the Rosario 'verse: 'pureblood', and 'outcast.' But I couldn't help but wonder: how the hell did they get outcasts? I mean, succubae mate with anybody in order to get more succubae (or so I assume, due to that whole 'Destined One' deal), so it's not so much actual crossbreeding that causes 'em - or so I assume.

So what exactly causes it?

Simple: Singularity of Purpose.

If you look through the manga, all the 'pureblood' ayashi seem to have similar characteristics. Vampires are warmongers and violence-lovers, while krakens always drag their victims under the ocean when angered, and succubae are near-remorseless seductresses. I'd almost go so far as to say they're single-minded.

The 'outcasts,' on the other hand, vary wildly in terms of motivation and powers. Thus, there's most likely a connection between an ayashi's motivation/personality and powers. Or, rather: purebloods are controlled by their youki, while outcasts control their youki.

This would explain why Tsukune couldn't remember what happened the first time he used Moka's vampiric blood. It was controlling his body- for all intents and purposes, it wasn't him. Of course, the question is, why are the purebloods so much stronger? As far as I can tell, because they're not trying to take control of their youki.

So, getting to the main point: either by will or chance, Tsukune's seal breaks and he's hit with the full force of Moka's blood. Only, by this time, he's gotten used to riding her power enough that he's not immediately overwhelmed, which gives him just enough time to shift the nature of the youki power.

Now, what happens from there is up to whoever takes it up, but personally I prefer something akin to Chad's Right Arm of the Giant, myself.

These ideas probably have been bought up before, but I have to get these out of the back of my mind:

Okay, this one is probably best for crack or novice swords-people.

I like sharp, pointy things as much as anyone else, but calatrava's -Breaking the boundaries- has pushed me too far with the whole 'take out your sword and take me seriously'. Apparently one aspect of taking a fight seriously is using one's sword, so what if it was turned on its head? That is, use the obvious, stand out (I am having trouble describing this) weapons, or in the stereotypical Far East Asian or medieval European case of swords, and use misdirection and anger to one's advantage by never utilizing it. To take it even further, put -away- the sword when one is being serious. Make the opponent think your are looking down upon them and attempt to make them make mistakes.

So one way could be to fight but always let the weapon hang on you, perhaps drawing attention and ire. Another way would be to somehow incorporate the weapon into a type of close-range combat and put it away when things need to be taken up a notch.

I think this is more infrequently used, except for cases like the hilarious Naruto one-shot and another Naruto one I cannot remember, due it its complexity, but eh. So, what if a character's fighting style, or whatnot, was based upon traps? It would incorporate ideas such as shadowmaster62's -Never Cut Twice- trap for Itachi where it was extremely elaborate to distract from the simple, basic trap. The idea is that prior to and during battle, mostly likely a character with cloning, puppet, or magical abilities and so forth would create traps to attack, distract, misdirect, and basically make the opponent hopefully overthink or become paranoid regarding traps. Anything and everything in the enviroment and that the character would bring would be used to unhinge and befuddle the opponent. In a way, the character would become an one man team, always having support at varying ranges, and back-ups to hopefully escape and such. I guess a partial analogy would be a bit of what Code Geass' Lelouch does. Perhaps all the times he destroys the building they are at, the time he causes an avalanche, and the time he utilizes the gaseous deposits in the latest episode.

The last idea is for a person with many clones, in Naruto's case at least being a mixture of bunshin and kage bushin, to overwhelm and possibly misdirect the opponent. I think many opponents would be best - perhaps the canon fodder or novice people. Anyways, the character would always be switching places as necessary to create the illusion that the original is -not- present. Or as the original is possibly the strongest and is the only one that can take multiple hits, or is the only solid person, is the 'person' that is always attacking. Let the opponent think that the character can become permeable (I cannot think of a better word right now) at will or that only clones are attacking. Perhaps that will disconcert or anger the opponent(s), creating openings.

Meh, these sounded better and more detailed in my mind. Perhaps later my brain will phrase these better.

Say if Archer's Unlimited Blade Works' ability to give Archer the instant knowledge how to use a weapon from it was able to be used by someone else. Or perhaps just the ability for someone else to use its' weapons. Now take a person that can perform Kage Bunshin or something like it. I would think that cloning weapons like the latter would be one-shot weapons so using legendary weapons, even a rank below their original state, would be much better, yes? Especially with the variety Archer would provide.

Although he would be much less able to shoot weapons like arrows, would this be an one man army of legends or trash?

Here is an oddball one. I just happened to see the opening of the Transformers Movie, something I had not seen before, and made the idle comment to my brother, that it looks like a borg cube.

This gave him the idea of what if it was a borg made device in the distant past that for whatever reason was either lost to them or did not work as they had desired and was abandoned. Thus it eventually ended up as part of Transformers movie canon history.

Of course, somehow the Borg would have to learn of this.

Better than any Transformers Fan Fiction idea I ever heard of or read.

Recently watched all of Burst Angel, so this got stuck in my head. Might be a temporary lapse in my writer's block, but I'll take it.

A non-yuri/shojo-ai Burst Angel fic. The secret? Don't put the focus on Jo and Meg, but on the cook and his relationships with the ladies. Yes, he's a bit of a wimp, but Kyohei had some good moments. 'Sides, he seemed more drawn to Sei than the others. Not that we could blame him.

Perhaps he gets a ride to Osaka with the girls, seeing as his own trip coincided with one of their missions. Gives him a chance to travel with the ladies, and potentially make some classmates jealous if they see him come out of THAT trailer. Could have the setup begin during the 'crazy adventures of Kyohei and Ami' episode, while Meg and Sei are out on the town. End after the 'fight with giant squid at amusement park' episode, mostly because of the best fanservice moment in the series.

Another possible moment could be after the "Immortal Classmate" episode. He's had to face death on a more personal level than usual, and it's affecting his ability to keep those girls fed. Que one of the ladies deciding he needs to spend some more time with them.

Anyone ever wonder about a Golden Boy and xXx-Holic crossover? I don't know much about either series other than some basics, but would anyone consider this?

Thought I'd toss the concept up, no specific plot comes to mind at this point.

Yep, I figure that at some point in the loops Rika got Hinamizawa syndrome, recognized it, and decided to take a break and do unto her friends as her friends had done unto her. Which is to say, various acts of violence and torture.

Was doing the ironing when I was struck by a random plot bunny, its not fully formed and I leave that to you all as to decide what to do with it, but here goes:

Basically I'm thinking Black Lagoon/Hellsing:

The idea popped into my head when I remembered the submarine episode in Black Lagoon which involved the nazi remnants. I tried to remember if they had a special name and I kept thinking Das Millenium even though I knew that was Hellsing. But then I got thinking...

Alucard!Revy ? She loves fighting, famous for dual wielding guns... would that then make it Ceres!Rock ? Naive newbie who has a hidden lust for battle?

On that vein more similarities kept appearing. Powerful, kickass, takes-no-bullshit, female, platinum, blond bombshell leader in both ( Integra!Balalaika) Check! You even have fighting holy men (and women) similarities!

Ofc things aren't quite the same (the holy men are enemies in one and somewhat allies in the other), but potentially that could be explained away through AU or a desire to see the mutual threat of Das Millenium destroyed (the enemy of my enemy and all that).

Anyway, would be great if someone could do something with this, or at the very least interesting to talk about :p

Oh, I havent seen this idea before, if its been done apologies (but a link would leave me quite grateful :) )

Browsing through the TTGL gallery, I came across this picture:

Does anyone else see the resemblance?

I'm loling pretty hard at the thought of Prinny!Genome.

I know Simon would pretty much auto-qualify for Overlord status. Not necessarily a high rank, but even minor Overlords are nothing to scoff at. Why does he end up in the Netherworld instead of Celestia? Well, Kamina came before him, and they know Simon was, so to speak, his protege. I'm sure you can infer why from there. Nia, of course, would also be down there, wanting to meet Kamina and probably joining the rest of the newly and long-dead of the Gurren-dan.

Then, years later, Simon finally finds himself able to leave the TTGL universe in good hands and joins them. And finds out that even without his own Netherworld, every upstart demon is going to try and take out the new Overlord to try and steal his title. At least they're all together by that point, with the possible exception of Viral. So the Gurren-dan is reunited in full... watch out Netherworlds, because "Impossible" just encourages them.

I'm also lolzing at Yoko trying to figure out what she should do about Kamina and Kittan. And of course, the inevitable pissing contests when they figure out they're competing now. I dunno how that would go, but I have a possible eventual answer for Yoko. "I SHALL HAVE THEM BOTH!"

Oh, and of course, the cameos... such as Laharl just running the hell away when he sees Yoko coming his direction. :snigger: And let's not forget Mid-Boss. More than a few lulz a minute there.

Anywho, random idea, thought it could be fun.

Love the idea, except for this bit. Because Viral is t3h l33t.

As for how to get him into the Netherworld... well, Kamina finds that with the power of the Dimensional Gatekeeper he can go to the human world. And he decides to pay a visit to his nemesis, even though he's heard the stories about Viral not being such a bad guy.

So he arrives on Earth (freaking out anyone who recognizes him) and finds Viral. Viral goes ape-shit, and they start fighting, and just don't stop.

After a suitably ridiculous fight scene, Overlord Simon tracks down his wayward Vassal/Mentor and comes to drag him back to the afterlife. Viral talks with Simon for a while, and then as the portal closes jumps in as well.

Uh... 'Impossible' isn't in most Netherworlds' dictionaries either. They pull Gurren lagann-level shit for breakfast with alarming regularity, after all.

And 'Impossible' is especially not a word in any Overlord's vocabulary, unless it's used in a rhetoric way. Just go ask Zetta. He's a BOOK. Books aren't supposed to give you hot laser death. They aren't supposed to talk either. Or float in place. Or be arrogant assholes. But does Zetta care? Nooooo.

If Zetta was in Gurren Lagann, he'd probably pull shit so outrageous it'd make even Kamina and Simon pause and ask 'wait, how did he do THAT?'. And that speaks volumes about him, and Overlords in general. :snigger:

What if he gets the Crown Clown's initial form? that is to say the big silver freaky hand? Don't bother with the higher levels, the initial claw as awesome, and even the second form would be overkill.
That almost makes sense, actually. The bracelet breaks, but is hanging on just enough to influence what happened.

Hmmm... a Nasuverse-based idea.

We know that Dead Apostle Ancestors can take on forms that have nothing to do with their origin (TATARI, I'm looking at you).

Sooo... what if we had a certain evil chaotic castle in the Nasuverse, as an un-numbered Ancestor, sort of like Roa was?

After all, the Demonic Castle (which is the original name of the whole thing, anyway) is outright stated to be a sentient embodiment of Chaos with its own (mostly malevolent) will. And there's even a hint that Dracula might not be the master of the castle, but it is in fact the opposite. If you notice, the castle reappears even when Dracula is not active (Soma Cruz, in this case), and in the beginning, the master of the castle wasn't even Dracula, but Walter Bernhardt.

I just thought it'd be interesting, although Castlevania would be way up there in the power scale even as Ancestors go, given how it's canonically capable of warping time and space (it can appear out of nowhere, and time inside it flows differently than in the real world - also, it can connect to another dimension as seen in Symphony).

Seriously, it seems to me like it'd fit right in Tsukihime and the Nasuverse in general...
