Naruto Naruto's fangirls

Bit of an idea that popped into my head recently.
Not sure if I'll use, but thought I'd post it here.

Basically, instead of blindly following their parents, what if some of the kids decided that Naruto was 'cool.' So, instead of being basically friendless, Naruto has girls around him. This has the added bonus of the fact that, when the parents keep trying to keep them away, they'll just rebel and try and get closer to Naruto.

Seeing Naruto being persued by girls might just make Hinata grow a bit of backbone and try and get closer to him.

As I hate OC being central to a fanfic, the story would focus only on the girls in the rookie nine, possibly Tenten as well, but not sure. One person I mentioned this to, stated that the 'girlfriends' should be kept few in number, to keep things from being too complicated, so Sakura and Hinata are definites, while Ino is a strong possibility.

With Sakura, Hinata, and Ino backing him up, I think Naruto would probably do better, though he still might not be able to do the regular Bunshin. Really depends on why you believe Naruto couldn't do it in the first place.

I'm all for this. ^_^ The only girl I'm not sure should be added is, well, other than Tenten (which I see nothing too wrong about it), but Temari. Only because she is a Sand ninja and so, her inclusion would be late in the game so to speak. That being said, that shouldn't stop you from including her. :snigger:

Word of note... there are not a lot of Sakura fans here. So just be prepared for that.

Harem fics are always good, as a rule. It'd be interesting to see Sakura, Ino, and Hinata get into fights with Sasuke's fangirls over who's cooler. I imagine both groups see their guy as having more of the "bad boy" image.

Well Harem fics are good in theory. However, with the possible exception of Married with Princess... the ones I've read at least, are not what you'd call the greatest. I think the problem with them is, they at best, become an all out love fest so to speak (and not just in a sexual manner. They seem to be all lovely dovey with each other as if the fact that their sharing one husband means all of their previous bickering ends). And things get a little TOO complicated (or in these fics, simplifed) when a number of them get pregnant. :blink: Nice idea and all, but haven't seen it well executed all that much.

Fair enough. My sentiment was that harems are always a good thing as a rule. ^_^ I recognize, however, that there are plenty of harem fics out there that are badly written. I can't stand Love Nest (LH harem fic), for example.

Hmm...

Why not add a few slightly older girls who simply think Naruto is cute? Inuzuka Hana would be a distinct possibility there... :snigger:

Although i really don't see Sakura as a Naruto fangirl but meh...

My first badly written fic involved Naruto and fan girl though most of them were OC's...

Ino watches Anko for a certain time.....makes a "2+2=7" sort of logic, decides what being a Bad Girl is cool....and what acting like that would be great.......of course..it would be ideal if a Bad Girl has a "Bad Boy" like Naruto as a Boyfriend..... :rofl:

Naruto, half of Konoha's parents with girls, and the Hokage feel a shiver run for their spines in that instant...... :help:

Like I said, not sure if I'll write it or not, and I'm trying to focus on my HP, the Arch-Magus fic, so if you want, you can try your luck with it.

All I ask is that you make sure that I get credit for the plot bunny, and to include Sakura, Hinata, and Ino as part of the eventual harem.

Also, i wouldn't say no to the story becoming like a Naruto version of Love Nest after the time jump.

If you don't want it, I'll try and get something together eventually. Not sure when, as I'm still trying to get around to writing those Harry Potter harem ideas that Kinsfire's inspired me on.

I wouldn't call it that, but it is pretty bad, in my opinion.

The plot is that basically, Granny Hina casts a spell over Hinata Sou to make Keitaro and all of the girls live as one big happy harem, dying to power the magic. She leaves each girl a scroll, and each chapter has the girl reading the scroll, wherein Granny Hina lays out and critiques the girl's personal flaws, tells her she needs to shape up and be part of the group, and the girl ends up crying in happiness over realizing how she can stop being such a bitch, and becomes horny at the thought of being part of Keitaro's harem.

It's the ultimate Mary Sue fic, in other words.

Oh, ugh, so in other words it's a 'the girls have their flaws told to them and thusly resolved and then are perfect well adjusted people who decide to be in love with Keitaro' with a lemony scent, great. <_<

I have a proposal that takes this thread's idea one step further.

It revolves around a common occurrence in Real Life, at least in Western society: Adolescent Rebellion.

Basically, the idea is thus:
The kids are told by their parents that Naruto is evil and should be avoided at all costs. "Don't play with that monster! etc, etc."
As in canon, Naruto goes all class-clown to get the attention he's starving for.
But, differing from canon, he succeeds in a good way!
The eleven- and twelve-year-old kids hit that "rebel against authority" phase, and start hanging around Naruto, if for nothing else than to "stick it to the Man."
The more they do this, the angrier the parents get. Does it escalate, driving the kids to further flock to the "Naruto group", or does this drive them away from him in a manner much more visible than in the manga?

Character reactions I can see happening from this:
Sakura is a goody-two-shoes. She'd stay distant, not to spite Naruto (although a bit of distaste may still be ingrained), but because it'd make her look like the Bad Girl.
Ino is individualistic, and is arguably walking on the edge of Bad Girl-hood already. She'd probably have her share of shouting matches with her dad/mom about Naruto, and hang around him regardless of what she was told to do. Possible relationship match, for those who like that pairing.
Shikamaru would hang around Naruto to get away from his bossy mother. Chouji would follow, find out that Naruto is a decent person willing to return the favor of looking past the outward appearance, and would become loyal friends with Naruto as well.
Kiba could go either way. His wild outlook may steer him toward Naruto. His family may look down on Naruto, and Kiba would have a higher-than-average chance at absorbing that. They might even become friendly (or not) rivals, since Kiba would be likely to see Naruto assembling his "pack". Either way, I bet that once Naruto proved himself, Kiba would probably jump on the Uzumaki Bandwagon.
Sasuke wouldn't join up with Naruto at all, unless forced. He's got no adult supervision telling him not to, but he's too much of a dipshit- er, loner to want to associate with others more than absolutely necessary.
Hinata, of course, would at least give him the "underdog's support". Her outlook on him wouldn't change much from the original - she'd probably just catch more crap from her dad for it. :no:
Shino... fuck, who could say? The guy's about as well-developed and expressive as a blank sheet of paper.
Rock Lee would sympathize with Naruto, at least a little bit. It's hard to imagine Lee actually hating someone.
Neji, on the other hand, would just get his image of Naruto as a "born loser" reinforced.
Tenten, once again, who could say? She doesn't get enough characterization.

Any thoughts?
