Akamatsuverse Negima fic search

There wasn't a "fic search" thread in here, so I decided to start one up.

Does anyone know any good fics that have an older Negi paired with any of the cast? Sure, this is probably going to be AU all the way, but, I'm a bit tired of the canon. A 10-year old is just too young for any romance and I want to read something that mixes adventure and fluff.

<a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7497299/1/Mahou_Seishun_Negima' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Mahou Seishun Neigima</a> is a newer fic, the pairing has not made its apearance and it may just go for wacky hijinks as rather then romance. so far at the very least its worth keeping an eye on.

Please do NOT consider updating a search fic with results as necroing. We're always on the lookout here, even if they come in late.

I've read Juugo before, but the other one you mention - Mahou Seishun Negima is new to me. Will check it out now.

Reviving a "fic-search" thread is NOT necroing! We appreciate your initiative in avoiding the creation of ANOTHER thread.

That said, I'm afraid Hellsing is not my forte.

Gave it the quick two-minute FFN search. Only two, and one was a single short chapter not updated in several years, and the other one was...well, the summary was pretty bad, and kind of killed any interest I had in checking it out.

Speaking of recs, are there any places where can I find good Negima! stories besides FFN? I've pretty much exhausted that place.

Mediaminer.org has some okay ones, just a few. However what I'm looking for is a place I can read Negima fics that aren't KonoSetsu. I mean yeah they're cute together, heh setsuna, but maybe like 3/4 of fics are KonoSetsu in the Negima sectione for FF.n

I just wish there wasn't so much Shojo-ai. Huh, it sucks that when it's not yaoi, it's Yuri. fsck.

I agree. The fics one finds these days are all about THAT pairing. What's up with it?

Another annoyance I have with the series itself, is the protagonist. He's just too small to be involved in ANY kind of romantic relationship. Would have made some really nice diversions, but I have a strong feeling that's what Ken was hoping for when he made the series.

Oh well....

My problem is he pretty much hits all the "generic shounen protagonist" stereotypes.

Disappeared Dad? Check
Child Prodigy? Check
All the girls want him? Check
Kind to everyone, even his enemies? Check
Doomed Hometown? Check

I'm sure there are more, but hitting five right off the bat? That's a BIG no-no. The "supporting cast" is a lot more interesting than him, too.
