Evangeline gave Negi an "Adult Kiss" remember, that'd be so messed up.

Apparently given the clues Asuna is actually the Princess of the Magic world.

Hey you know the thing with Kanako and Keitaro? What if it's something similar? You know Nagi knocked up the Queen of the Magic and out came Negi but she was assaninated during the war, and Negi and Asuna are actually half siblings.

Incest is incest.

I don't see the difference between mother/son and brother/sister.

Because has given an 'adult kiss' to both of them.

So? Kanako was sniffing Keitaros underwear and dirty shirts. Akamatsu has already proven he has no issues whatsoever with incest, even if it never visually escalates to sex.

Never read anything from this author before Negima. . .

I am working to correct that though.

Furthermore, we should note that Kanako was adopted into the Urashima family, and doesn't share any blood with Keitaro.

Keitaro should have hit that. Seriously.

The first, yes, but the second, I'm not so sure about. Was it stated in the manga that she was adopted from outside the clan, rather than from another family in the same clan? Cousincest is still creepy, after all.

A Cousin is fine too in Japan for some reason.

I would most like it if it was Asuna, because then it probably leaves the pairing open to a non-tsundere.

Here is a thought that might work but I'm not positive about. Maybe his mother was living with him in the village and got petrified with everyone else. I don't know if it explicitly stated she was there or not. It isn't uncommon to stay with in-laws.

Then there is the creepier option, Nekane is his mother. Maybe she uses the age pills to look younger or something. Maybe she is pretending to be his cousin, or actually is his cousin and mother.

Eva would be an interesting mother, and it would explain why no one talks about her. Only problem is, I don't know if she can get pregnant. She might have been turned prior to being child bearing age, if vampires can even get pregnant.

The idea that he is a younger Nagi seems to be pretty likely. If they can dick around with Asuna's age somehow, they could alter his too. Maybe he sacrificed himself to save something and it made him younger.

Well, I was referring to the fact that it isn't taboo in Japan. For them it is nothing strange, and they even arrange marriages between cousins. Which leads to the interesting idea of two sets of identical twins arranging a marriage between their kids. The kids would technically be cousins, but biologically siblings.

The whole idea of "who is negi's mother" has been bothering me for sometime as well. One theory that has been going around is that negi is actually nagi, just de-aged and his memories either sealed or wiped clean. This theory completely eliminates the need for a visible character as negi's mother since he's just really nagi. But this is just all speculation and I myself am not entirely convinced of it.

It isn't a taboo to most people either.

Generally speaking, it's acceptable to most non-Western cultures and a few Western ones as well.

Think of it the same way as most people in the world not having English as a first language.
