I recently watched the last iteration of Captain Harlock's last adventure. Space Pirate Captain Harlock : The endless odyssey.
I was rather astonished by the antagonist's similarities to daemons.
For those who have no idea of what i am talking about allow me to make a quick recap.
Just after the big bang, matter, energy, space and time didn't obey to the rules of physics, everything was under the dominion of a primordial entity of pure Fear, NOO.
Noo created slaves, the helico?dal clan who later rebeled against Noo. They fought and overthrown their master by separating its body and mind banishing the mind into the Imaginary Space.
The Imaginary space is the realm where the spin of a particule may it be boson or fermion is not quantify (neither -1/2, or 1/2 but both at the same time) where the cat of Schroedinger is neither alive or dead. It is the realm of pure thought and energy where the soul dwells.
Anyway, Harlock and his crew faced both Noo's agents bent in freeing their master and corrupted, clueless and oppressive government.
My idea is Harlock in the grimdark universe of WH40K.
A group of space pirate made-up of maverick human, aliens, etc... fighting to preserve their freedom and independence from the Imperium of Man, the horrific eldritch abomination of the warp, the Xeno,etc...
