If you want an odd crossover that works... I'd like to offer Nyx Fyxx's "The Wizard of Flaws" which is a fusion between Wizard of Oz and, of all things, Silence of the Lambs.

How about... The Archangel's Amazing Adventures by CSS.Stravag.

Gundam SEED/Magic Knight Rayearth

The Archangel and the Creuset Team, from Gundam SEED, get sucked to Cephiro along with the Magic Knights. It's weird, really weird, but also... fairly plausible (to a point) and pretty damn funny at times.

It's actually a multicross in progress; the next stop is the Battletech universe... along with the MKR trio and their Mashins.

It starts right after the Archangel leaves Aube in the original series, when the Creuset Team attacks and the Blitz gets disarmed (litterally), so Kira and Athrun are still at odds (Nicol ain't dead) and Kira doesn't have the God-Mode Freedom/Strike-Freedom yet.

A long time ago I stumbled across a Fairly Decent X-files/Captian N crossover... sadly my computer has contracted virusis and crashed since i last looked at the fic so ID on't have a link..

I seem to remember a Harry Potter/Wizard of Oz xover that had Harry going insane and killing most of the cast of Wizard of Oz.

Hmm.. I can't remember the name, and it doesn't appear to be in my favourites or update list... but there was a good Ranma/Hamtaro fic, where Ranma had fallen in the Spring of Drowned Hamster...

I found a BTVS/Schlock Mercenary crossover that didn't blow... until the author decided to turn the story into the crossover equivalent of soda-fountain suicide, started taking months between updates and had characters talk about important shit that happened rather than showing it.

Sorry for not answering sooner. Been while since I read this thread.
As for the Aube/Orb thing, I believe that all comes back to the anime. I think the name was seen written as both Orb and Aube at different moments. That or the website and the anime were in contradiction. I'm not exactly sure which.

Some people say one is the military designation and the other, the island, but frankly, I'd have to rewatch my SEED subs to clarify it further.

Aube is used in the Del Ray Gundam Seed novels. Orb is used in the anime. Orb is the more common usage but always sounds like something swiped from the English Crown Jewels. I use Aube in my stories because I DIDN'T swipe it from the Queen!

Saint Shinji, a Saint Seiya/Evangelion crossover. It is not the best story ever, but it's pretty interesting... Though it hasn't been touched for years.

And the Magical girl? well, I know the Author claims he came up with it, but I am sure that somewhere in that smut obsessed island, there exist one like so.

I've written a couple of fun crossovers. The first being The Ranma 1/2 Show, a Ranma/Animaniacs mix. To make it work for me, I ended up making Tenma and Ranko to cover Wakko and Dot roles. Still makes me smile thinking about it.

The other one was a Eva/Pinky and the Brain cross called Of Mice and Angels. Brain plans to take over the world by stealing and Eva. Unfortunately, they crawl into Asuka's plugsuit right before an Angel appears... :evil2:

Was hosted on my own page, but hadn't had it reinstated since the Library crashed. They're script fics, and thus not for FFN.

As for things that worked, I've always been partial to Heir the the Empire and The Best of Times, both by Ozzallos

I would like to see someone crossover Super Robot Taisen and Rayearth. Given how there is a magical world in SRT already (La-Gias), it should not be hard. In fact, the recent Endless Frontier makes it even easier...
