Just got a PM from Sidhe. Here's what she said and my response. I wanna know you guys' opinions:
Yo.
Hm. While its nice to know at least one of the background events, the problem is that not one of us knows how the ultimate character settings would be, which villains would survive, the final outcome (victory or defeat), etc.
Hell, we don't even know what happens to Zen or Ei-chan, and seeing as their ancestors/clones/alter-egos/omgwtftentacles Zeni and Eterna get carted off at the beginning of the new RP (in my oh, so clever and perfectly unnoticeable and stealthy attempt at trying to fit Zeni's own inactivity at TFF into the story), that's a pretty big stumbling block.
Honestly, with such a huge hole in our knowledge of the setting the only real thing we've got going for us is that the free-form format gives our characters a lot of pliableness - we can basically change them at will without much consequence in order for them to fit a modified setting. The problem, though, is that there barely is a setting to begin with.
Hm.
Hi Ray!
If I remember correctly, the climax of Christmas Caper was supposed to cause echoes in the Infinitum going forward into the future (one might think of shadows from Amber, or echoes of stories and themes that keep repeating).? Several of the characters from the Ninja game were echoes/alternates, as that game was located at a distant future and world in the Infinitum.
I hope that helps.
