Well I'll be gone for the rest of Saturday and most of Sundasy heading off to J-Con (or Japanese Anime Convention) for the weekend as it takes place in Orlando and I live in Florida so...off I go. Just thought I'd let everyone on here know first before I go.

Safe travels, have fun, and don't cause any riots. We'll hold down the fort! (And do our best to defile anything of yours that you leave unguarded... Mwhehehehe! Wasn't us!)

Of course, not only would he have a 5 'clock shadow, he would also have trouble fitting through the double wide door. :p

I have returned! Oh boy and do I ache, I got there late morning saturday and haven't slept since, from 12 A.M. to about 3 last night they were having a rave which I was in (and a very active perticipant in) for the entire time, and while I was having a great time I certainly regretted it in the morning as my fingers ache now from clutching and twirling those glow sticks for so long and from some of the odd body contortions I performed while raving, ah but it was worth, I had a blast. Not only that but I got the first three volumes of the manga series 'Death Note' which is very good so far (I have thus far read the first two) and I am now the proud owner a real working Gunblade! It doesn't fire bullets (I wish) but the trigger is fully operational and the revolver works as well, it was originally $80 but I had a friend who was a dealer and she was able to get it for me for $50. Other than that I mostly wandered about with various friends checking out the various panels and activities, had lots of fun though, and also apparently gained a harem as three of my female friends proclaimed themselves my harem, and who am I to argue when three good looking girls tell you they are your harem, not me, that's damn sure. And so now I'm going to sleep for the next twenty four hours as I've now been awake for 38 hours and counting, while this is not anywhere near my record I was very active for most it so I'm substantially more tired than I would normally be, so it's time for me to rest my weary muscles.

BTW, Hawker, you may have noticed I updated the preview of Wild Horse, Dragon Maiden. Feel free to leave comments.?
Hey no fic advertisements! Take your shameless advertising elsewhere heathen!

Have fun looking at all the Man-Fayes!
Surprisingly (and thankfully) there were no man-Faye's or any cross dressers this time, so I remain uinscarred from this trip.

I always thought conventions were a ploy to sell overpriced merchandise to unsuspecting people...hence the moniker "cons". :p

Didn't death note come out a long time ago?

Yup! And now, after reading the third one, I have so many plot bunnies running through my head, so many ideas for stories, so many other charatcers that I could give the Death Note to, the possibilities are just endless.

Welcome back!

Hmpf... Death Note... <_< Unfortunately, I'm with the popular opinion nowadays and think that recent (or at least, kinda recent) chapters suck. I don't want to spoil, so I won't say anything though.

Hnn? How many have come out? What comprises 'recent chapter'? How far in is that?

Oh and thanks, it's good to be back.

Death Note's currently at about chapter 105, IIRC. The crappiness is introduced at around chapter 55-60... I think.
When you say 'where it's currently at' do you mean what's been translated an officially relesead or just what you get through scanlations?

What you can get through scanlations. Officially, Death Note has been translated to volume five in English.
Ahh that clears things up, yah I'm just going to follow with what comes out here because if I read ahead on the scanlations then I wouldn't want to buy the new ones whe they came out.
