**************

Grunts and screams sound from every direction. An Elf, just to Hulms left, lopped off the arm of an Uruk-Hai before receiving an arrow through the eye. An another Uruk-Hai, weapon raised above his head, howls before it brings the blade down swiftly missing Hulm only because had he rolled to the right at the last second. Hulm, desperate, stabbed forward, hitting the creature in the gut. The Uruk, went strangely limp, and when he pushed the body off, he discovered an axe buried in its spine. A blood spattered pulls the axe our. Hulm recognizes him to be the dwarf, Gimili.

Gimili stares at Hulm for but a moment before giving a savage smile and a quick nod before turning and tackling another Uruk. Hulm finally managed to rise to his feet, terror coursing through every vein, before, even through all the sounds around him he hears a resounding horn blast. All heads, Human, Elf, or Uruk, turned to see a group of horsemen charging out of the gate.

It had been a long hard battle and he had long since lost hope there was any chance of victory. But see the King's charge filled him with new vigor. His second wind upon him, he sliced out with his sword, lopping the head off another Uruk, before delivering a backslash to yet another. An Uruk charges at Gimili, who, fighting another, does not notice. Hulm runs at the beast, stabbing forward at the same time as it's blade swings down. The stab strikes it's heart, instantly ending it's life. However, the chop simaltanously sliced downwards, the weak mail at his neck broke almost instantly, the blade only stopping at one of his ribs.

Light began to fade from view, and he could tell his life was leaving him. Gimili, still had not noticed the struggle and had, his previous foe defeated, moved on to another. Hulm, for reasons he did not know, felt by saving the Dwarf's life he had done something important. His thoughts however, strayed from those to memories of his long dead wife. "At least," he thought "I will be with her now, dead or not." And with that Hulm was dead.

Not for a LotR fic based on the movie. They were enjoyable enough to watch, but had too many flaws to write good fanfics about.

Also, its too short and just about no one would be interesting in an OC, who dies in four paragraphs.

Thanks for commenting anyway.

But, meh.

I'm just not a good writer.

Have always known it, just wanted to make sure.

Don't really care either way.
