Meh, just go on 4chan and ask someone to rapidshit/torrent what you want on /r/. Most of the time, you'll get what you want there easily, without having to go through paranoid jackasses.

Having been a member of zcult for several years, I can say they aren't paranoid at all. They simply want people to be an active part of their forums and contribute to the community rather than just logging in and grabbing torrents, downloading them and signing off without seeding.

Be a good seeder and socialable forumgoer and you'll have zero problems.

and they're hardly secret. do a google search for comic book torrent and they're number 4.

Of course, maybe to you, that is secret. I'll let you in on another secret then: mininova.com is a pay site, mininova.org is free. same database. cool, huh?

sorry, they are a great site, and the dcp packs that come out every few days are awesome. I just get irritated when people call my online buds paranoid.

What precautions they take have good reasons behind them, primarily the site almost going down permanently when spiderman 2 was in theatres because they had a torrent up called spiderman 2000. The MPAA called their hosting and got the blacklisted, even though the torrent was way too small to be a movie, and they only host comic torrents. So now things work differently, to prevent misunderstandings like that.

Running any torrent site these days is risky, they do a great job of it in spite of that.

Meh, I wasn't referring to them specifically when I said paranoid (never been there to begin with), I was talking about paranoid jackasses in general, having been soured by Greyarchive's experience.

Sorry 'bout that.

Ah, that brings back memories, considering I was one of those forum lurkers just waiting for the new weekly password...
