"Empty throne." Right.
My sentiments EXACTLY. It most certainly looks like someone is indeed using the authority such a throne represents. (and WHO is that mysterious individual?)

On a different note - do we actually see them sitting on the throne? I'm leaning towards no, since that scene is soo ... vague. In fact, I'm expecting the king of Goa to sit on it later and create a big disturbance.

@Jimbobob5536,

Do you know who did the translation for the scan you linked to? It's has a few differences from the one on readms. Specifically this page = https://readms.net/r/one_piece/908/5152/16 where one of the elders talk about either - something that was already snuffed out OR something that is yet to be snuffed out. Am not sure what is being referred to?

The round table scene, with all the kings and queens looked cool. :)

Out of the frying pan, into the fire. A new insane arc begins ?

Now I'm really curious about the "Rock" that Garp took down 40 years ago.
So far:
- Big Mom and Kaido are confirmed to have been in the same crew
- Whitebeard and Bakkin were in the same crew
- Shakki admited to have been hunted by Garp40 years ago...

If they all sailed together, I can't help but wonder what kind of monster they sailed under

I ... am at a loss for words. Zorro is Zorro as usual. Just like Luffy. The two are a good pair.

But why would Zorro even allow someone else to handle his blade? I remember him being very protective of them.

The latest chapter does NOT give me good vibes. As in, I just don't like it. Reminds me too much of an anime filler episode - wasn't until a few pages later did I realize that it was the main story!

@Darkskeketon,

.. umm... what rock?

@Jimbobob5536,

Thanks for telling me. I don't think I've heard of that group.

What part of "we have to lie low until everyone else gets here or Kaido will arrive and murder us all" did you miss?

and I find myself thoroughly disgusted with O-kiku. Or whatever that sword-weilding female is called. You want to attack someone with a sword? That's your decision. But then to cower and hide afterwards screaming about how a big angry man is after you now? That's being hypocritical. Not cool. Not cool At. All.

-Discussing plan to assault Kaidou.
-Village that Luffy gave the food to being raided by bandits.
-Bandits have a throw-down with Jack; a major player in Kaidou's Beast Pirates.
-Said scuffle with Jack attracts the attention of Kaidou himself, who apparently can become a massive dragon.

And Luffy strikes the first blow. I want to say I'm surprised, but it's too in-character for me. And makes for good reading :D

As for predictions? I do NOT expect a resounding victory for Luffy. It's too early in the arc for that. There is the possibility of defeat, but that doesn't happen easily for our captain, so ... somewhere in-between?

Yes. As Expected. The captain was getting good punches in early.

I was also expecting Kaido to curbstomp Luffy without issue, but I was surprised how effective Luffy was initially.

It seemed to me that Kaido in his dragon form was actually feeling Luffy's hits *way* worse than when he turned back into human form.

Does this mean that Kaido in his dragon form is actually *weaker* than he would be normally?

Didn't expect the magnet/metal hand guy to be in jail with Luffy. If nothing else, this is shaping to be a majestic arc!

Hmm.. that reminds me - did we ever hear from Sabo? And his attack on Marjoice ( that high, cloud place) ?

The reactions of Luffy's crew, in the newspapers ... is weird. Perhaps, it's just expected that they are disappointed. Or that they know their captain will now, never leave without defeating Kaido?

I'm just wondering if they'll finish the arc in a similar fashion to the last one, with them all just barely escaping; or if Luffy and co. will get an actual definitive victory over one of the 4 Emperors.

Huh?

So Moriah wasn't dead after all? Sucks to be him now, though.

link for the lazy.

I had to look up about Moria. For some reason, I was under the impression that he was still around ... somewhere. Didn't expect ghost-girl to want to join him. That was surprising.

We get news about the revolutionary army. I think it's bad, since the world government would have put a lid on it otherwise.

Zorro is incredible here. Getting that strike after what happened? Brr...!

And what's up with that weirdo bandit on the bridge? Doing really idiotic things ... Though, it can be argued that it's Zorro's fault too.

I wonder if this will be Zorro's arc? The earlier one with Big Mom was very much tied with Sanji.
