'Other Options' for Posting

Can we include the 'Other Options' button beside the 'Post Reply' and 'Preview' buttons?

It feels strange not being able to use an actual New Post page and sometimes it's preferable to use that rather than just the text box at the bottom of the page, especially if you're working on a long post.

And possibly the option to open Previews in a new page as well? So you have the standard option which shows it on the same page but you can also choose to have it open on the New Post page too.

I feel like if you need more space than this to type up something you should probably use another program.

It's not a necessity but it's a feature that's normally available (both on previous versions of TFF and other forums I visit) so it feels a bit restrictive to not have that option at the moment.

So, I started a small investigation into this. And it led me down a few interesting paths. The off-topic item first, the "preview" and "post reply" button positions have now been swapped. Should hopefully make a lot of folks happy.

The quick answer to @Knyght 's question is that the feature already exists in Xenforo. Whatever thread you are on, just append "/reply" to the URL. You'll get what you are looking for.

Unfortunately, I"m not exactly happy with that solution. Ideally, I want a new button which opens the "full page reply" form. Lots of experimenting with Xenforo templates and no success. So, for now I've started this thread on their support forums = https://xenforo.com/community/threads/how-to-create-a-new-button-for-full-page-reply.152033/

Once we have a workable solution, I"ll add it here.

And to my very pleasant surprise, we have a button to open replies on a new page!

Please test it out folks?
