Of course, Ado Edem was noted as NOT being special during the Liner/A-Ray war. It was only during battle against the Aristoteles that he was able to shine, because his weapon served as a sort of bane to Aristoteles.

Of course he is ALSO an Ether Liner with powerful armor, a powerful weapon, and lots of energy, so he'd still be an overpowered Servant, and the Aristoteles killing probably got him some absolutely BITCHING Noble Phantasm, so yeah...
To say the least. Lancerlot won a couple of fights with impromptue weapons, and ended up with Knight of Honor, I really hate to think of what Ado Edem could end up with.

If it's Rider, my ultimate point is that Rider wasn't in it to obtain the Grail, she was in it because of her own baggage, and I don't think you'd disagree with that. I mean if she reached the grail she might wish she hadn't gone insane and killed her sisters, but I don't think she ever was shown having like an ultimate goal.
Well, her main intention seems to have been to protect Sakura. Had she obtained the Grail, I would imagine she would have used it to wish for her freedom, although we cannot, of course, be sure.

Is it that she's fighting in the war, for reasons other than Shirou, or is that she's not participaing in the war, because of Shirou? Because I think you meant the former, whereas the next part of your argument ("takes control of Rider in HF because she doesn't want to let Shinji hurt Shirou any further") supports the latter meaning, that she's actively sitting the war out, because of Shirou.
Well, the latter meaning is definitely true, yes.

At any rate, I think I gotta disagree with you on the whole "yandere" assessment. She's definitely higher-functioning than other Yandere in that she's capable of emotional connections with non-object-of-affection people (hence my "some flavor of" qualifier), but she's still basically pinning all her hopes and dreams on this one dude.
Yes, but that's not what Yandere means. Yandere means "wants to be with the object of her affections, and will go to any length to obtain them or, if they cannot, will go insane and attack them or their lover". Sakura fits the first part of that, but she does not fit the second. If she did, then she would have acted in Fate and UBW.

Also if she gets in a relationship with the guy she turns into a mass of shadows that devours souls to fuel her dark powers. That sort of thing really only happens to the final boss' third form in an RPG or a Yandere.
That has nothing to do with Shirou, though. She turns that way because of the worms Zouken implanted in her, not because of her relationship with him. And, even Dark Sakura is not Yandere, because she is far more interested in dealing with Rin than in obtaining Shirou.

Really, what I was getting at was "she didn't care about the Grail, only about Shirou."

Depends whether you consider Slash Emperor's attack to be higher or lower than 4000.

You could say it is based on the fact it cut through "cannot be harmed" TYPE-Jupiter, and "ignored dozens of nuke level attacks" TYPE-Saturn, but we can't say that Enuma Elish couldn't have done the same.

Besically, we have the problem that there has been nothing SE couldn't cut through, and nothing Enuma Elish couldn't destroy (save Avalon, but that's an entirely different beast).

You want an overpowered grail war.
How about Kratos Killer of Gods Titans and the Fates
Holy shit yeah! He already killed Hercules once, and decimated pretty much the entire greek pantheon (including the titans and other mythical creatures), what's one more god (Gilgamesh) to him? Of course, once he finds out that the Holy Grail can grant any wish, NOTHING will stop him from making his wish to go back and stop himself from killing his family.

Question: What clas would he be? while he killed a pegasus and rode on a flaming one (don't forget his Icarus Wings), he doesn't qualify as Rider. Lkewise his bow that he stole from another god after he killed them, while he does use it occasionally, it's not enough to qualify as Archer. He doesn't qualify for Assassin, because he doesn't need to be sneaky; he just roars and beats the hell out of his enemies head on until he kills them in an incredibly brutal manner.

Berserker is possible, and more than likely, but does that stop him from using his Blades of Chaos/Athena/Exile? He might qualify as Saber, albeit with Berserker tendencies. After all, if we include his equipment from across the games, he has the Blade of Artemis, the Blade of Zeus, the Cestus Gauntlets, the Boots of Hermes, the Icarus Wings, the Gauntlet of Zeus, the Sun Shield, Triton's Lance/Poseidon's Trident, the Blade of the Gods (holy shit that's huge), ...

You know what? Screw it. You want to see his equipment list? Go to THIS PAGE. I'm done.

Anyway, he would be crazy overpowered. And thus, awesome. Question, though: Who would summon him? Maybe Ilya (as if she wasn't dangerous enough with Berserker Heracles), since she tried to get a certain demigod and got something (arguably) better?

Shirou summons Son Goku as Lancer. Son Goku then trolls everyone by pretending to be his DragonBall Z ABRIDGED version.
Fixed that for you.

All the Bersekers we've seen so far use weapons. Lancelot was a weapons master despite his class. So there is no reason for Kratos to be anything but a Berserker. It would be a perfect fit.

Scary Scary thought.

Have someone summon up Lancelot screw up and have him as Servant assassin somehow and uses him to steal all the NP of the other Servants.

On Second thought this should be Kotomine just so that he could troll the Servants.

Due to recent responses in the Questions thread, it appears that the best way to overpower Counter Guardian EMIYA (as opposed to Shirou's True Ultimate Self) is to have him summoned as Caster. This would leave the Archer class available for Ilya to summon Herakles in, but then there'd be two of Archer Herakles in the War, and Zelretch would need to summon a different class of Servant - or just troll the Grail into letting him have one of the same class as someone else.

Mind you, Rin not summoning EMIYA is perfectly reasonable, given that Shirou is already a more powerful version of him. Most OP Archer I can think of besides (or even including) Herakles and Gilgamesh is the Indian Epic Hero Karna - well, if you're willing to look into his Legend, which some people in the Spacebattles.com thread for Nerve Damage have (not recalling which pages, sorry), though he's a Lancer in that one. Of course, her summoning another instance of Gil would be hilarious, as well as potentially OP enough.

For the "proper" Saber summon, how about this:

Aoko Aozaki finds an ancient, circular European table and uses it as a catalyst for summoning a Servant. The result? The position of Saber is collectively filled by the Knights of the Round Table. ALL OF THEM.

Though, granted, Lancelot's presence in that mess would probably require a Command Seal to prevent infighting, but...

Well, it fits the theme, for sure.
