Akamatsuverse Pactio Cards

Working on my idea and I've seem to come across a weakness in the pactio card system unless I'm totally mistaken.

We know that a Magister Magi and their Ministra Magi can contact each other telepathically by using their pactio cards. Also, a Ministra Magi can summon their artifact by using their copy of their card; which transforms into said artifact.

In other works, when a Ministra Magi is using their artifact, they can't talk with their Magister.

Hmmm... it could be. I don't recall, off-hand, a case where a Ministra has their artifact out and communicates at the same time...

By the by, I've kinda wondered... why doesn't Negi periodically attempt to contact Yue through the pactio card? I know there's a range issue, but wouldn't it be a useful thing to do, just in case she IS within range?

I don't know about the rest of the girls, but I do know Nodoka can use her artifact, and still have telepathy. She does so when Negi and Kotaru fight in Kyoto.

My guess is the artifacts act as a medium to the pactio card.

In chapter 236, Kaede contacts others telepathically when using her artifact. But this may have been due to the fact that said 'others' where inside of her artifact.
