You could always go the cheap route... having both MC and FeMC/Hamuko/whatever appear, splitting Fool along the 0/XXII divide.

Don't mind the author's overuse of in-game stuff.

Sect: Eh. Maybe. Lucifer in the early games had heterochromia. It's only circa Raidou 2 that he became known as the blue-eyed boy.

GH: Uh, dude? The Dark Hour sure as hell ain't normal. It's a vision of what the world will look like after the fall. If that isn't a paradox I don't know what is. But I'm not disagreeing with you; on the contrary I'm saying we need to expand what you were saying there. Persona powers are only granted when reality is compromised.

Also, arcana affinities totally cross over. Check Persona 1 again. More than one characters can have "Best" affinity for an arcana.
The Dark Hour is different from Nyarlathotep's dickery in that it's a direct result of humanity's suicidal desires. Also, the game bashes you over the head with the fact that it's a naturally-induced phenomenon caused by the majority of the race being in a precise state of mind - simple natural cause and effect - it's not NORMAL; but it's not unnatural either, which Nyarlie's dickery most likely WAS (rumors coming true? Hitler and the Nazi army being revived? No way you can lump that in the same category with negative feelings causing an avatar of destruction to wake up on the wrong side of the bed - P1 and P2's events were about as natural as the Large Hadron Collider).

Here's a little something.

At the start of time according to the Greeks, there was Chaos. From Chaos rose two beings, Erebus and Nyx, who laid together and gave birth to several children: Thanatos, Hypnos, Moros and Gaia, among others.

HM. Erebus and Nyx... why does that sound so familiar? And don't forget; Nyarlathotep exists in much the same way as SMT YHWH. As long as people need a scapegoat, a reason for things to go wrong, he will exist.

So no, I think that Nyarlathotep differs from Nyx only in that he's consciously working to destroy humanity, as opposed to Nyx's regretful need to and Erebus' dumb singleminded drive.

Actually, if you pay attention, Nyarlathotep has no interest in destroying humans. He has too much fun trolling them to want them gone. Of course, his trolling can have sorta fatal consequences, but not "Oh God, we're gonna become extinct" fatal, just "Holy shit, way too many people just died gruesomely" fatal.

Philemon isn't entirely good, either.

As for Erebus, in this particular game, he was 'born' from the mass of negative emotions of humans, not from Chaos. Born of despair is more accurate.

We're still not entirely sure that Philemon and Nyarlathotep even exist in P3/P4. I'm assuming that they do because if they don't Igor and the butterflies don't make any sense.
In any case, Nyarlathotep was definitely trying to destroy humans in Innocent Sin. He isn't exactly evil as much as a part of the human mind (or at least that's what I'm guessing based on what I can understand from the material) but he does push forward humanity's desire to destroy itself. Of course all this brings up the problems of crossing Persona with Nocturne and trying to figure out who's on what level of power.
