Arrives at a building with a large Pokeball symbol and enters, immediately making a beeline for the front counter

"Don't mean to be rude, but I need healing on a pair of pokemon. Oh, and do you have anything for this gash on my arm?"

After about five hours, a fairly tired Blue wanders into town to get his Pokemon healed. Afterwards, he buys them some Pokefood, gets something small to eat, and ventures into Route 2 and then further, into Viridian Forest.

Blue knows he's to tired to go all the way through today, but figures he can get a few more hours of training in before he needs to quit for the day. Maybe he'll even find some more Pokemon.

After leaving the laboratory behind, I went about doing several thing's, the first of which was checking to make sure I had everything I needed, including the various digital map's I'd be needing for this trip... And a potion, just in case.

Grabbing a Pidgy on Route 1 wasn't overly difficult, and I got to Veridian without much trouble, other then a few random Rattatta and Pidgy.

Thank god for the guy giving out free potion's.

Veridian itself was at least bigger then pallet, and it had an actual store, Which I visited first, before heading out for a quick stop at the Pokemon Center.

Latrio blazes through route 1 except to grab a free potion sample from a dude. Fighting all the Ratata and pidgy in his way.

+++++++++++++=

"Of course we can. Hand your pokemon to me and we'll heal them right up. I'll have someone take a look at your arm as well."

*two hours later*

"Thanks"

Notices the researcher and breeder from Oak's walk in the door, decides to approach them

"Hey, either of you mind having a quick one on one? I've always wanted to fight one of those Johto species, and this pikachu wants to stretch his fight muscles after the trip here."

As soon as he walked into the pokemon center, the sounds of conversation met his ears.

"So then this chick in vermillion says she wants a Spearow for it. She names that thing a stupid name like Ch'Ding and expects me to give up my hard earned Spearow for it? I told her to stuff it, who'd want a Farfetch'd anyway? If I brought that thing out with my duel with this town's gym, I'd be a laughingstock."

Zaffre paused a moment while turning in Torch's pokeball to the nurse. Farfetch'd were fairly uncommon as far as he could recall. It might be worth it to check into this. He gave the nurse a smile as his now fully healed partner was returned. From what he'd learned with the Professor, there were a few nesting grounds for Spearow relatively near here, in both route 22 and route 3. Though as he could recall, they were more common in route 3, so heading there would be his best bet.

It was a shame, he heard there were some interesting types to be found in route 22, but it would be better worth his time to go for more solid leads at the moment, his research funds weren't particularly high, so he'd need to report in some good findings to make sure he could take care of him self.

With spirits high, he left the center, and headed for route 2, to make his way past the forest and to his destination.

Latrio accepts the battle and promptly loses due to type advantage.

Latrio takes his Pokemon to the nurse and has her heal Gamera.

He found no interesting signs of any kind of breed he wasn't aware of on route 2, so he made his way rather quickly, stopping only once to hear from a man who had a Mr. Mime, but was interested in trading for an Abra. Thus far his trip seemed very fruitful, though he'd made no real progress just yet, just more goals to keep in mind. Feeling cheerful regardless, Zaffre made his way into Veridian forest, Torch leading the way.

Veridian Forest was long, dark and creepy, but Torch proved exceedingly competent in pushing back any of the few who dared try to cause Zaffre harm. They'd had a few hairy moments, but with a clever use of smokescreen, they'd managed to get out of the forest with no major issue, though he was a little disappointed not to find any of the rarer breeds he'd heard were in the forest. Still, he made a quick pit stop to the Pewter city Pokemon Center to heal up, before deciding to explore the town a bit. After such a rough trek, he and Torch could use a bit of a break before finally heading out to route 3.

Thanks the breeder for the match, and leaves the center after getting a few care tips from him, heading west out of town on accident

*30 minutes later*

"Thought there was supposed to be a forest here somewhere?"

Pulls up map app on his dex

"Oh Arceus, how the hell did I end up here? All right let's see..."

Hears a rustle behind him, and still somewhat on edge due to route 1 experiences, rolls to the side throwing out a random pokeball, followed by scanning the angry looking Pokemon

"A mankey...looks different then the one in the picture though. Oh well, looks like Pidgey gets to start his career with a advantage. Tackle attack!"

Watches as the Pidgey fells the Mankey due to Tackle sending him headfirst into a tree, before tossing a ball and capturing the ape

"That works too I guess..."

Latrio thanks the nurse for healing his pokemon and heads off to Route 2. He spots a shiny rock. Great find. It's a moon stone.

"Mwhahahahaaha"

Latrio goes through the forest with trusty Gamera defeating all the bugs he comes across. All of them. He exits the forest and heads towards the pokemon center to call it a night.

Zaffre honestly couldn't believe his luck. Since he found nothing of particular interest in Pewter, other than an old tree he could probably cut down, he headed to route 3 after placing a request for the required HM. He also placed another request for the HM for Fly, since he expected he'd need to get back to the person who wanted the Abra rather quickly. However at the moment that was pushed out of his mind with the discovery of the strangely colored Spearow.

Deciding to turn it into the professor as another potential starter and to hopefully increase his funds, the boy quickly searched for another to fulfill the expected request. Upon turning in the shiny Spearow, he found his requests for the HM's fulfilled and quickly taught his new Spearow Fly. He didn't really need it yet, but when he did he'd at least have it. Restocking on pokeballs and other essentials, Zaffre decided to head off to Mt. Moon to see just what he could find there.

It seemed Mt. Moon was blocked to trainers, but the miner in front of the cave who'd stopped him let him pass for research purposes. He found nothing really interesting there, other than a load of Zubat, until he caught sight of a differently colored Paras. Unfortunately it managed to escape before he could catch it.

The chase ended when he hit the apparent cave in, allowing the pokemon to escape through a rather small hole through the pile of stone. His way was blocked, and he'd lost another potential pokemon to turn in. Though he didn't feel particularly sad about that, nor the fact that he couldn't make it all the way to Cerulean on his first day. As he turned back from the pile of rocks to head back to pewter, he found himself a lovely normal Paras he couldn't resist catching. It seemed a small, weak little thing, but Zaffre felt attached to it for some reason.

He went back out to inform the worker of the cave in, and searched route 3 to find nothing of interest before deciding to head back for a bed in the Pokemon Center. A thought struck him however as he spotted the old tree again. Teaching Paras cut quickly, he then had the tree cut down, and found a strange specimen of amber he was sure the Professor would be very interested in. Feeling good he headed back to the Pokemon center, turned in his findings to the professor's email, and headed off to bed.

He didn't accomplish quite everything he wanted, but watching his team of three scuttle around his bead, he couldn't help but feel what he did get done was worth it.

As he turned in for the night, returning his team to their capsules, Zaffre couldn't help but hope the next day would prove just as fruitful.

Blue wakes up to find himself lying in the grass. Sitting up, he puts a hand to his head--apparently he'd fallen asleep after a long day of training.

He'd nearly been crushed, yesterday, but it had turned out wonderfully in the end.

****EVENT****

He'd caught a Weedle and a Caterpie just a short while ago and had taken them to the Pokemon Center to heal them. Afterwards, he'd made a quick swing by the store and picked up a number of Pokeballs, because he was running short, before deciding to continue his training.

When he'd run into a Kakuna, he hadn't been overly surprised. They were a bit rarer then Weedles, but not massively so, and this was far from the first one he'd encountered.

But when that Kakuna had evolved into a Beedrill, the bottom had dropped out of his stomach.

It was a rarer chance, but a dangerous one. Common knowledge told him this guy was stronger then any of his own Pokemon.

Naturally, he sent out his strongest Pokemon first, challenging Beedrill with his beloved Eevee. Using his only damaging attack, Tackle, he lashed out towards his opponent bravely--but his defeat was inevitable, and he quickly fell.

Pidgey was next, taking to the air bravely in defense of his Master, Tackling the Beedrill boldly, hammering him with his body--but he was quickly smacked down. Rattata fought bravely as well and--thanks to a series of primitive choices by Beedrill--he'd done a great deal of damage to his opponent.

In the end, it had fallen upon Caterpie to fight--and he had. Against all odds, when even Blue hadn't thought he could win, Caterpie had saved the day and triumphed over a far stronger opponent.

As Beedrill fell, a Pokeball flew through the air, swallowing him up.

"Good job, Caterpie," He said, words brimming with emotion as he knelt by his partner's side.

******************

He quickly gotten all his Pokemon healed, and then had ventured back into the forest, training himself into the ground. Beedrill had shown him how far he needed to go--but also how far he could go.

His target was Brock.

He still had a lot of training to do before he was ready.

Tree's.

Everywhere.

Getting a Caterpie and a Weedle wasn't very hard, they were dirt common, decent level's on them though.

But finding a damn Pikachu was proving to be a pain in the ass, they weren't ANYWHERE-

"Chu"

Hello.

A quick look in the bushes and- HOLY SHIT IT'S A PICHU-

One quick battle later and I had a HILARIOUSLY RARE lightning rodent.

A look at my dex tell's me it's level 6, so five wasted level's, which kinda sucks, and-

Wait, that pink symbol next to it's name.

Oh dammit, it's a girl.

FUCK! ARCEUS DAMMIT!

After finding his way back to town, healing up his new mankey, stumbling across a great ball of all things next to the town pond, and stopping by the mart to pick up a new pokeball, a potion and a couple antidotes, Deuce makes his way north, using his map to make sure he's heading in the right direction, and dodging a seemingly senile old man on the way.

As he approches the forest, he notices that the map for it is rather crude and undetailed, but enters anyway figuring he can just walk in a straight line from one side to the other.

The red light faded into his Pokeball and Blue smirked. Pikachu, captured. It had taken him more then a day to get it, but he'd done it.

Now...Beedrill kind of rendered Weedle pointless, so...he'd switch him out for Pikachu and then come back in to train.

Blue continues his training.

One quick Pokemon center run later and I was ready.

Time, to TRAIN LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER.

Except Pichu, I need to find a Pikachu to use instead.

I'll look while I'm in the forest.

Charmander can take pretty much anything in there with ember.

After spending a sleepless night and half of the next day lost in the forest, constantly fending off various bugs and the occasional electric mouse, coming up with names for your three companions, Pikachu having liked Raiden, Pidgey taking a shine to Aera, and your still not sure why Mankey insisted so much on Lee Sin,and a surprise bounty in a dropped potion, Deuce is making his way slowly but surely towards the exit, when he spots a strange looking Metapod. Normally he'd just try and catch it, but in his sleepless eyes, the mon looks rather...tasty. As he reachs up to grab the mon with a hunger in his eyes, the metapod starts to shine, and cracks open to reveal a rather freaked out and angry Butterfree.

EVENT

Quickly sending out Raiden due to Lee Sin and Aera being exhausted, he orders Raiden to fire off a Thundershock. Raiden successfully manages to fire off the attack just before getting slammed into a nearby tree by the Butterfrees confusion, managing to land on his feet and answer his trainers calls to keep shooting them even as the butterfree counters with constant blasts of confusion.

After a few misses and dodges on each side, the two trade another hit on each other, this time sending butterfree into the tree, and Raiden into the air. As he's falling through the air, Raiden manages to fire off one last Thundershock at the still recovering butterfly, knocking it out and allowing his trainer to catch it with a pokeball.

EVENT

As the butterfree comes to rest in it's new ball, Deuce recalls Raiden, sending out Aera for protection as he makes his way into the light of day, and onward to Pewter City's Pokemon Center, where you plan to catch up on the sleep you missed.

After training a bit more, Blue decides it's time. He gets his Pokemon healed one last time and begins to head through Viridian Forest, towards Pewter City and the Gym withing it. He's still near Viridian City, so he has a long journey ahead of him, but he knows he can make it.

Blue makes it through Viridian Forest.

It had been difficult. He'd gotten into a fight with a number of powerful Pokemon and had been chased by a group of Beedrill. But somehow, he'd made it through the forest in once piece, but Eevee had been poisoned. He was rushing to the Pokemon Center as a result, dashing straight through the doors heedless of everyone else.

Blue's Pokemon were healed.

*8 hours later*

After waking up from a sleep of the dead, Deuce heads out to the main lobby to pick up his mons from their rest. As he arrives in the lobby he notices a trainer with a silver furred Eevee on his shoulder at the counter. As the trainer turns to leave he recognizes him as the strange kid that was camping outside the lab when you left, what was his name again...Red? Green? Blue, that was it, Blue.

"Hey, Blue, Nice to see ya again, wanna have a match?"

After hitting the center, I went out to look for another pikachu, unfortunately, all I found was a stupid ass Metapod, Which Charmander destroyed, and a Kakuna, which eolved into a Beedrill and attacked me.

Charmander lit it on fire, he and Pidgy got knocked out in the fight, but really, after it got burned this was just a waiting game, Caterpie and Weedle took it down, and I took the stupid thing's Posion Barb.

Best run back to the center before anything else happens.

Stupid ass Beedrill, such a waste of time. Charmander need's more training if he got taken down by a bug.

Bzzz

Well, fuck, the forest is full of the damn thing's now. Plan B, Route 22.
