Prototype Idea I'm working on

I'm thinking of a part where Ilya forsakes Berserker instead, and disobeys orders to add an additional two lines for "Berserk" class, and leave him as an "Archer" class.

Other parts
1) How many Servants is it possible to use in a Holy Grail War? Is it the maximum of 7? (I forgot that if I remove Medea, I'll have no excuse for Archer to kick Shirou's butt)

2) What kind of wish would be desperate aside from saving the world?

3) If the person uses little magecraft and just one Reality Marble... does that make the mana only a C rank?

4) Does mana depend on resistance to petrification? Aka C = sure to be petrified. B = as long as you keep guard, you'll be fine. A = immunity to petrification but all parameters down.

In regards to #4, that's magic resistance, not mana specifically.

In fact, while close to each other, they aren't necessarily related directly.

Saber Alter, for example, has A++ mana, but only B rank Magic Resistance.

Discussing story ideas goes into the Ideas sub-forum and general discussion goes in the Talk sub-forum; this thread should probably be in the latter. But given the point of the thread, you could have asked those question in the FSN Question Thread.

Fine fine, how many Servants can be put up? (there are some with 14 servants....)

I may mix some servants from prototype, extra, Fate/Zero and one OC Caster who has an assortment of weapons from other dimensions, so, yeah...

The finished grail is designed to choose 7 masters and summon 7 servants, and stop after that. Since the first and second wars had lower numbers of servants that is likely a design feature rather than an inherent limitation of the grail though.

If you want more servants you will have to justify the grail behaving differently by having someone with sufficient knowledge of the grails functioning tamper with it. The only people I can think of that could do that are Zouken, Zeldretch, and maybe Illya, or another powerful Eizbern. I don't think the first and third would have any reason to do so leaving Zeldretch.

As for you OC keep in mind that heroic spirits need to be legends, and thus somewhat famous. I doubt any real life mythical or historic heroes had weapons from another dimension, and in Nasuverse doing something like that requires the Second magic. Unless your OC is actually future Rin, Zeldretch or some other Second Magic user, your going to have a plot hole.

From a literary standpoint having more servants and masters gives you more characters to keep track of for both you and the readers. Something that makes stories much harder to write.

Yeah I guess I have to keep 7 servants and 7 masters.... and stop the "Berserk" function from happening (now how to make his defeat plausible, since he had no weaknesses...)
