Question about the manga.

#1
What I want to know is the difference between the personality's of the characters compare to their anime versions? I thought it would be nice to have that answer in one thread for future research.

Rei- hates men. Her dad was a bastard, the one guy she did like married for political reasons. She promises her chasity to moon.

Venus- Most competent senshi after moon. Less on an airhead. She was the leader of the guardian senshi. Best kill count after Usagi.

Uranus-bisexual and wears dresses and men's clothes equally

Hotaru- a cyborg who was badly hurt in the fire that killed her mom. The Outers had a much better reason for wanting her dead in the manga. She was going to die because no matter the situation because of the damage her body sustained so they wanted to kill her before Pharaoh 90 or Saturn could be awoken.

Usagi-much more competent. She doesn't reset her personality like the old anime.

Setsuna- manga focuses more on how lonely she was at the space-time door and what Chibiusa's friendship meant to her.

Chibiusa-much less bratty.

... is there a relevance to you calling Uranus and Venus by their titles rather than their names? and what about Neptune and Jupiter if I may ask?

Nah, no relevance. I didn't even notice.

Michiru and Makoto are pretty much the same. That's why they weren't included. I'd say Michiru is a lot cheerier and temperamental. She hated Yaten for calling her unfashionable and ruining her fun day at Highschool.

... Wait. Haruka was bisexual rather than flat out full lesbian in the manga? I don't recall that... Where was that stated/shown?

She says she doesn't care about gender, a man or a woman doesn't matter to her when introducing herself. Michiru later also says she's the senshi of both genders. Like nearly every time she spoke she spoke of how she didn't care about the differences between men or women. It seemed to heavily imply she was a bi to me while I was reading it rather than full out lesbian.
