I've decided to necro this thread with the barest of bones for an idea that I'm toying with.
I'm thinking that Kodachi doesn't get enough attention, and mainly because I've found an artist on Twitter who likes Kodachi, I'm thinking of writing a Ranma/Kodachi story.
It's something that I literally ground out today, but I might look into writing more over the coming days/weeks if there's enough positive feedback/I get enough ideas for this one.

Kodachi Kuno was shifted in the bathtub, allowing the hot water to relax her muscles after the day’s match against Furinkan. Her loss had been quite the surprise.
Akane Tendo had been the one to face her, but apparently an injury in training ruled her out of the competition. A shame, as it would have been entertaining to see the object of her brother’s obsession defeated like all the others.
Instead, the Furinkan champion had been this redheaded girl. Sure, there was a rustic charm to the girl, but aside from her bust, what did she have to offer someone like Ranma Saotome?
“Ranma-sama,” she sighed softly. Thinking of Ranma Saotome always made her feel warm inside, but the martial artist that had saved her from falling off the Tendo roof was almost as much of a mystery as that redheaded girl.
Kodachi knew that Ranma was handsome, skilled in martial arts and a thorn in the side of her idiot brother, but aside from that, there wasn’t much she knew about him. She needed more information.
‘Sasuke might know something,’ she reasoned before stepping out of the bath and reaching for a towel.

A short while later Sasuke was kneeling before Kodachi.
“What can I do for you, Mistress Kodachi?” the diminutive ninja asked, his head bowed respectfully.
“I have a request, Sasuke. I need to know more about Ranma Saotome,” Kodachi replied. “I know that he’s a martial artist and is a relatively recent arrival in Nerima, but other than that, I know very little about the man.”
Sasuke nodded. He’d already done some of this research for Tatewaki Kuno. With a little luck, he’d be able to remember enough of it to save him from having to do some extra work.
“He is staying at the Tendo Dojo,” the ninja started. He braced himself for the backlash, half expecting Kodachi to erupt in a fury similar to that of Tatewaki. When there was no outburst, he continued with his report. “It would appear that his father is the old training partner of Soun Tendo, and they decided to unite their branches of the Anything Goes schools through the marriage of their respective heirs. That’s why he’s engaged to Akane Tendo.”
Kodachi nodded. It made sense that a traditional samurai family like the Tendos to arrange a marriage, especially if it would allow for the continuation of their family style of martial arts. It would also allow them to keep their property in the family as part of a dowry.
“And what of the redheaded girl that was at the match today?”
“I am not entirely sure, Mistress Kodachi,” Sasuke admitted. “She sometimes goes by the name Ranma Saotome, but there’s no record of her at Furinkan. Your brother believes that Ranma is holding her under some kind of spell.”
“My brother is an idiot,” the gymnast contemptuously replied on reflex. She reached for her tea and took a sip as she digested her servant’s report.
Kodachi was of noble standing, rich and powerful, yet Ranma appeared to spurn her advances. Perhaps it was because of this arranged marriage that he acted to coldly towards her? It wasn’t easy to take, but it showed that he had a sense of honour. Even if his eye wanted to wander, he had the control keep himself faithful to even the most ill-tempered girl.
To display such loyalty for an arranged marriage to someone who treated him so poorly was the hallmark of a man amongst men.
‘Or he’s an idiot who doesn’t know any better,’ a tiny voice in Kodachi’s head countered.
But that couldn’t be the case. How could someone like Ranma be so starved of affection that he would latch onto the first girl he met? Evidently the key to winning Ranma’s heart would require befriending him before seducing him. But how to win his friendship when they went to different schools?
St. Hebereke was a school that required much higher grades than Furinkan just to get to the interview process. Even if Ranma’s grades were good enough to get into St. Hebereke, he couldn’t attend by virtue of it being an all-girls’ school. It would be a waste of her academic abilities to transfer to a lower ranked school. Not to mention that it would result in her having to be near her idiot brother for most of the day.
No, it would be best for her to remain at her current school.
If only to prevent her from disgracing herself by being caught with Ranma on the roof like a pair of delinquents in a tawdry love story.
‘Though, would it be so bad to have Ranma run his strong hands over my body?’ Kodachi asked herself for the countless time since she’d encountered the young man.
“No” was the answer. As it had been every time she’d asked herself that question.
But was it right to risk her future for love by going to a different school?
“Wait, different schools…” the gymnast muttered, the solution coming to her. “The arranged marriage is between the Tendo and Saotome heirs, is it not?”
“It is, Mistress Kodachi,” Sasuke nodded.
“Then I will join the Tendo School of Anything Goes,” Kodachi stated with a gleam in her eyes. “I will become the best choice for Ranma Saotome!”

It's entirely possible that this will run out of steam by the time I go to bed tonight, but it's also possible that this will have some smutty content.
