I'm fairly sure I turned all that off when I set things up. If it's not, it should be.

What are the technical issues with letting people do this? Other than space, I can't think of a reason...

Space, speed, security.

Space, because we take up a shitload as it is, speed because we're slow enough without keeping huge files cached, and security because I know some dumbass would try to upload nasty shit like CP when they got pissy enough.

You are right on size.. even compressed, factor how may users times how many would want to issue those files.

I saw that back when the forum first opened and considered posting my full lists here using it, ultimately decided against it, which was why the last full posted list is still only on Anifcs and Fukufics...

Anyone have any idea on fixing the char? I try to read Rx7 stories but it is unreadable because of this. Luckily I can still read it on the old forum

Can you link to the thread in question? I do not understand your problem from the post alone.

Got your PM. This is an issue with special characters that slipped in during the move. I'm about to go to bed now, but can fix up the threads you pointed out tomorrow morning.

Would I be able to suggest a new subforum here? Because I think a Webcomics forum, or perhaps a separate subforum for Webcomics in the Comics forum, might be a good idea.

Just throwing it out there...

Absolutely! Start a poll in the Suggestion Box and get... hm, I think 15 signatures in a 24 hour period. If it succeeds you get the sub-forum.

I'm not sure there's a point. I had a look in Comic Previews and couldn't see a single webcomic fic. There's a few active webcomic threads in talk but that's about it. A better idea, IMO, is to rename Comic Fanfiction to Traditional and Web Comic Fanfiction. That way we can hopefully drum up some interest in webcomic fanfiction without the risk of marginalising that potential into obscurity.

Looks fine the way it is. At most, change the thread description to mention "traditional and web comics".

Renaming Comics to include Webcomics or appending the description is probably better, at least until some people actually write a couple of webcomic fics.

I don't visit the comic area too often, but the renaming idea sounds good.

Well, there's a poll up, but it only has 4 hours to get 11 more votes

I want to make a thread for RWBY, it's a web animation by Monty Oum, would it fall under cartoons or anime?

Is it possible to add an additional link to all threads of the forums that links/directs to the last post of the thread? It would ideally be to the right of the page links.
For example, when I view the main forum and click on the last commented thread of a sub forum, it directs me to the latest post of the thread.
But when I'm in a sub forum, lets say Naruto Talk, I cannot select the latest post of various threads and have to click the last page of the threads, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to see what the latest post is.

Huh... unless I am misunderstanding you, that functionality already exists, but only if there are posts you have not read in the thread, it takes you to the last unread post, not the last post.

Of course, if you are like me and constantly wipe out your cache and cookies and tell the forum software to mark all as read, then it is not there most of the time. I generally do that at least once a day, and actually have a shortcut link of the mark all read link.

Here's a image of a few threads with unread posts. I cannot go directly to the latest (unread) post

What I want is a link that directs me to the last (unread) post, instead of entering the last page and scrolling down to the last post.

Does this function exist on some other Board Style/Theme? I'm using Light Default.

Ehhh... The link is there. you click the arrow itself to go to the last unread post. I'm on Light default as well, and know it works in IE and Opera... I *assume* it works in Chrome and FireFox (I refuse to check using FireFox or even install it as it never works well for me) as I've not heard any fans of it complain yet about it.

EDIT: I brought up Avant Browser, which has the option of using any of the three main rendering engines... that arrow shortcut appears and works in Trident rendering engine (IE), Chrome rendering engine, and the Firefox rendering engine.

You would need a actual user of FireFox confirm it works in that browser, but it should.

Ah... I didn't even notice that the arrow was clickable. I kept looking to the right when the solution was to the left.:p

I'm currently on FireFox and the arrow seems to work.

Thank you for your help.:)

Has anyone else kept having old threads keep popping up in User CP under "Thread Subscriptions With New Posts"? I'm fairly sure there's no new activity or even edits being made but stuff keeps showing back up.
