Your idea/assertion that Ukyou ever had a chance with Ranma is a falsehood. Your opinions on the subject will never change that inescapable reality. Nor will any amount of complaining to the cosmos, as you clearly seem determined to do. I suppose this is the wall you've chosen to smash your head against.

This wasn't about Ukyo having a chance, it's about the story following it's own rules, and I think your point about fiat, while valid, is part of the problem.

Why wouldn't she? Especially if the 'competing for the validity of their engagements' part is something unofficial and/or secret, thus they have no excuse to kick Ranma out when he/she finds out. (Well, they have the excuse that it's for the girls only; that's why it's Ranma-chan who's participating.)

It's an offshoot of part of Metroanime's The Bet, A Bet Too Much where Ranma gets the wishing sword from Kuno, he wishes he was married to someone who loves him and he has a cure and that Nabiki was nicer to him, disappears off somewhere and rings appear on all the fiaence's fingers except Akane (includes Nabiki and Kasumi

In defense of Skysaber, he's capable of writing funny, insightful things; and he has some good ideas in his stories at times.

He's also capable of coming across as completely batshit crazy and borderline psychopathic.

He's quite intelligent, he's just a bit... high-spirited (yes, the dub is annoying, but it fits, here).

Gambling King and 10 year sauce. On top of the stories themselves being kind of lame they also explain part of the noodle incident that is Ranma's past, which really is better left vague.
