The Mightiest Disciple One-Half » The Saotome Family has moved to a new home, and Ranma has to enter a new school: Koryuu High. While there, he makes acquaintances with guy who looks more normal than he acts and a girl who could give all of his 'fiancees' a run for their money in more ways than one. The meeting leads Ranma to the strongest dojo, and maybe just what he was looking for, Ryozanpaku

First chapter is rough but it's fun so far
Compared to "History's Most Chaotic Disciple"... No, I take it back, there's no comparison at all. TMD1/2 is just pointlessly throwing Ranma into chapter 1 of yet another manga, where he stumbles along not accomplishing any divergence at all (because that would force the author to think), just adding some Ranma flavoring. With exactly same scenes we saw in bazillion such works. Waste of time.

An Artist Among Monsters
After Ryoga gets so lost that he ends up dragging Ranma into another world, Ranma ends up in the Monster Girl Quest. The first 5 chapters follow roughly the same story beats as MGQ up to the end of the first continent, but after that, the author is willing to move fast and break things, so while they've still got all the threats from Ilias and Promestein and co. to deal with, events and story progression go a lot different. The fic is nowhere near finished, but currently just after the point where Ranma and Alice and co. has saved the village of elves, and Ranma has formed a contract with Gnome.
As you can expect from a MGQ, there's lots of sex. The FFN version, which I linked, is censored with all the actual scenes cut out. For obvious reasons, I won't link to the uncensored version in this thread. As for plot development around sex, Ranma obviously has his (or her) hang-ups every chapter, but never obnoxiously so. Which is a bravo to the artist, because it could have been dragged on so much it becomes practically torturous.

Not sure how good this really is, but I liked it well enough to read it from chapter 1 all the way to its current endpoint -- which is chapter 32 after almost 180,000 words. Had never heard of this story before I started reading it.

Ranma gets caught up in the adventure of a lifetime, surrounded by girls, fighting for the fate of the world, and occasionally gets splashed with water. Sounds like a regular day for Ranma? Except there's no such thing as a regular day for Ranma, because he's starting out in Midgar. Ranma 1/2 X FF7

The story explains things fairly well but if you know a little about the characters and maybe just the game's basic plot, it won't go amiss. Here's a website about the game that I like.
