Ranma ½ Ranma/Nanoha Idea

Olivie Sägebrecht disappeared at the end of the Saint King Unification War, thought dead.

Reality, what happened to her was that she was Dimensional Transferred to Ancient Japan, where she was found by a young farmer, who she married and had children with.

Fast forward to the present, where an elderly man arrives on Earth. He is known by a few names. He was the Erster Meister of Old Belka, who taught them magic. He would appear later on Midchilda, teaching them magic.

In reality, he was from Al-Hazard, known as the last Primum Magistri, the last magic teacher of their rulers, former First Master of Magic.

When Al-Hazard was nearing its fall, he left to find a new civilization to teach, so that the knowledge would not be lost. Once done, he would go to a base and enter cryogenic sleep, waiting some time to emerge to see what had been done with the knowledge he left behind.

Needless to say, he sees similar signs of corruption and nearing self-destruction from the TSAB that he saw before, and nearing the end of his life, has decided to try on Earth.

On Earth, he comes across a young Ranma, and his device informs him that Ranma has some unique heritage, namely that Olivie is his ancestor, technically making him an heir to the Belkans. Not sure if I want to throw in Al-Hazard ancestry as well, I'm sure the Old Belkans would at least claim their Kings had that bloodline.

He decides to educate Ranma, instead of starting a group of mages on Earth, seeing it as last chance to try and guide the fallen kingdom back into a shining beacon, and perhaps save the TSAB before they destroy themselves. Further checking finds that the sword carried by Nodoka is actually made from Olivie's arms, her last wish to her new family.

Timeline: They get involved in the first series, when he discovers someone is trying to gather the Jewel Seeds, which he believes are by right, Ranma's, and even gets them to react positively to Ranma. He sacrifices his life to cure Alicia, but leaves his mind and linker core to Ranma, to create a device called 'Sensei', to keep guiding the young Prince.

Book of Darkness: Sensei is also knowledgeable enough to help 'rescue' the Tome of the Night Sky, deducing that the error in it was a former Old Belkan royal who wanted immortality, and tried to overlay his soul into the immortal tome, resulting in it becoming corrupted. It actually eats worlds for the purpose of sustaining his soul. Once removed from the book and a basic protection program put into place (his soul is hiding in the corrupted program), he can be destroyed and the book returned to its old self.

Not sure where to go from there.

Interesting. Would Ranma be the only protagonist? Or would this Sensei be one?

Ah... but a protagonist to whom exactly? Certainly not the TSAB, whom will not let this stand... their sense of 'justice' and their stance on tings of Belkan origin is well known, and so skewed against those of non-Midchlidan origins it is not remotely funny.

IMHO, if Ranma's morals are anything like canon, he would be either anti-hero or outright enemy to TSAB...

I figure a few things.

1.) Sensei in either form would not fully trust TSAB, because he sees them falling into the same corruption that destroyed Al Hazard and Old Belka. He has no problem with Ranma helping Nanoha and Fate against Presea, as well as giving up his life to save Alicia, but will have no problem running off with the Jewel Seeds, as he views them both as Ranma's by right and too dangerous to be left in TSAB's hands. This is only compounded by the General's plan to sacrifice Earth to defeat the Book of Darkness.

2.) He also does not trust the Belkan Knights, as he knows Ranma is still young and somewhat innocent, and will likely be used as a figure-head by the group. He'd rather Ranma be fully prepared for whatever role he might have, before announcing his heritage. Not to say the Knights don't find out sooner rather than later. If TSAB had any scans of Ranma from the battle with Presea, they are bound to find them and make a similar discovery about Ranma's heritage.

3.) He has no problem with Ranma helping the girls on occasion, but does not want Ranma tied into any group. As a result, several organizations will be looking for him, including TSAB.
