Ranma ½ Ranma/s-CRY-ed idea

We know from s-CRY-ed, the series began with The Great Uprising, based in Kanagawa Prefecture near Tokyo. We know of HOLY and the group that formed them, HOLD.

But the cause of it, what attracted The Crystal and the Alter reality to our own?

A precursor to HOLD--name unknown at this time--tried to gain power from the martial artists in Nerima, whether this power be used for economic or military applications is also unknown at this time.

The resulting attempt to gain this power from Ranma split open reality and attracted The Crystal's attention. Ranma and The Crystal battled, ending in the Great Uprising as they fought, and Alter energy leaking out into Ranma's world.

Now in the present of s-CRY-ed, Ranma lives in hiding on the Lost Grounds, avoiding HOLD and HOLY, which he knows are out to get him. While the leaders of HOLD hope to acquire the Alter powers for their own uses, their primary focus is also on capturing both Ranma and The Crystal.

Kasuma has had several run-ins with Ranma, who has not aged since the battle with The Crystal. Teaching him several moves, Ranma has helped Kauma embrace his Alter and use it to help others. Knowing that it wasn't perfect, Ranma considers it so, because Kazuma takes care of Kanami.

Not sure how to add in the others from Nerima, such as the other martial artists. I do know Principal Kuno was the one who brought attention on Ranma from the previous version of HOLD--something like that is way outside something Nabiki could pull off on her own.

Suggestions? Comments?

I could replace Ranma with Bob and it'd change nothing. How is this a crossover between these series if you've basically obliterated the entirety of one series (Ranma) and just replaced them with another (s.CRY.ed)? Like for god's sake this is pointless, you've removed any and all stakes to the story and it's going pretty much nowhere.

I could replace Ranma with Bob and nothing about your pitch really changes, outside of the question of "who's Bob?". This isn't a crossover. This isn't a fusion. This is garbage.

Do better.

Well, Anonguy--or should I call you, Bob--your offering was as useless as you claim my idea is.

And I'm not saying that for a flame war--even if that ends up your likely response.

I'm saying it because you offered no counterpoints, no suggestions, basically nothing AT ALL.

For the one minor point you made, we had little, if anything, about the Mainland in s-CRY-ed. So it is open territory for what happened to it. Were you expecting the Tendo Dojo to still be in the Lost Grounds? Maybe the city-base of HOLY and HOLD?

The initial idea is that these people who currently crave the power over Alter users, existed before Alters, and wanted the power that was dominant then: ki. They tried to take it from Ranma, he fought back, and the incident started the Great Uprising, with Ranma now hiding out in the Lost Grounds.
