Warning: Incoming nostalgic and sappy rant

It's been awhile since I've thought about World of Warcraft.

The game has always been the source of some nostalgia for me, mainly because of the friends I made in the TFF WoW Guild almost two years ago. We had some good times, but unfortunately, they had to end. Our guild, named in part in tribute to Hawk, disbanded some time ago due to various things which would take too long to explain properly.

If I recall correctly, only a handful of TFFers stayed with us throughout the entire duration of the Hawks' fraternity. And they too, were sad that such a good guild of friends fell apart.

For 6 months, I've been focusing on work and school, trying to better myself and get ahead in life. I've had some moderate successes and I'm happy with them. Still, I miss the old guard and the good times we had on our server and in our raids. I'm currently playing again, this time starting a hunter on a completely new server. I really want to recapture the fun and passion I had for the game back when I started the game with just a handful of newbs and friends.

I'm willing to discuss servers. I'm willing to roll again so we can all level together. All I want are some players who want to have fun and just play the game the way it's supposed to be played: with friends.

Any takers?

PS: If you suggest Alliance, so help me God I'll feed you to Thrall myself. ^_^

Pretty much everyone's just going to tell you to get on Ann, rather than start over in a new server, I figure. =p

That's what I'd tell you to do if I wasn't having my soul absorbed by the MegaTen franchise instead :p

I kinda like the idea of starting afresh, not going back to my old haunting grounds. :p

Besides, I'd only do that if enough of the old guard and some new people were interested in starting a new guild to try to rebuild what we had.

A-yup. I'm not going to roll up on yet another server. Not when I'm well-established on Bloodscalp. If you really want to roll a new toon, do it on Bloodscalp Alliance. I promise not to kill you too often :p

edit: and Ann, I don't think the "old guard" is willing to give the Hawks another go right now... we'd be three, MAYBE two on the outside short of a full 10 man, given who's been online, and that's including Des and Kayeich coming back with you.

You're in a solid 10 man guild, Ana. Course you don't want to start anew. =p

Really, this is an invitation for any new (and former, of course) players of the game to start something up.

I like the idea of leveling and raiding with friends again. You guys from the old crew are more than welcome to join us, but I suspect you're too tied down in Bloodscalp now. =p

Actually, it's a solid 25-man guild (by our server's standards, anyway). And I'm talking less about the guild and more about the fact that I have two 80s and about 9000 gold that I don't want to move.

Glad to hear it.

Honestly, I didn't really expect any of the old guard to be interested. I've gotten Kayeich to commit to rolling a shaman sometime next week. I just thought it would be cool if some new people (and again, some of the old) could just us on our zany adventures.

Besides, even if I rerolled on Bloodscalp, no one would be willing to abandon their mains or their guilds to start something new.

Eh, the offer to rejoin the old guard somewhere would tempt me normally. But rogue Grey Wardens plotted with Hashashin, Vault Hunters and some dudes that gleefully ripped off Diablo down to Tristram music to keep me away from WoW for quite a while. And then i hear they are calling Bioware drop pods with fresh SW MMO armaments. So yeah, WoW can go die in a fire that nobody will even piss on to put it out of its misery.

I'm keeping a watchful eye on the SW MMO.

In the meantime, this is something to do that's fun and somewhat productive. I guess. There's got to be some TFFers on here that is new to WoW or interested in starting up again! It could be a grand adventure!

So, Torchlight? Been meaning to grab the demo to get my fix since Diablo 3 probably won't be out 'til 2012.

Yeah, I'm playing way less WoW than I was before... I got hooked back on my DS playing pokemon and disgaea and the world ends with you and.... well, you get the idea.

Yeap. Torchlight is the child of Fate and Diablo. Only Diablo that impregnated Fate to steal off all the money and good things about it, then booted it out of household to lovingly raise the kid in his own image. With Tristram music.

P.S. I actually don't know how Blizzard didnt sue the everliving shit out of them after i was done with main storyline.

I actually just rolled a new toon on Bloodscalp. But seriously, if anything, just make another one on Bloodscalp. That way, you have access to your previous gold and those beautiful, beautiful heirloom items.

Well I don't know if I count but after my six month leave from WOW I should be getting back within the next two weeks, so if you need another flesh-sheild I will be back around.
