Reccomended... Anime Addventure Threads?

Every now and then I take a peak over at the anime addventure threads more or less out of boredom (or when I can't find anything else to read). I stumbled onto a thread called 'Exiled Jedi' and started reading. After the first episode I was like 'Okay. This maybe something I'd like to read.' so I continued on to the next episode which was in fact written by the same author.

After reading it, I was convinced 'Alright, I think I've found something.' It was a reasonably large thread so I thought I was in for a good read.

I continue on.

:huh!:

Wait a minute... What the **** is this!?

By episode 3, the writing was so bad that it made me gag. A different writer had taken over the thread. One who's quality and standard of writing in comparison was so poor, I wanted to gouge my eyes out. It was that bad.

Not only that but every episode after the second was written by this guy. Every single one of them.

:headbanger:

By episode 5, I abandoned the thread out of disgust. That's at least one hour of my time I'm not getting back.

Ugh... well that said, I know there is some good stuff hidden in there somewhere...

It's finding it that's the real challenge.

That's where I need your help.

Any reccomendations you have would be much appreciated.

Oh my... I can link you several dozen of em. If I could find em all.. There are quite a few good ones, I will link the threads themselves, keep in mind the lil' lemon tag on some of the threads and skip it if you don't want it. Keep in mind that ALL of these are unfinished, and probably wont ever BE finished.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...ag=Judas+Priest
Ranma/Hellsing. Very decent, but mind the dark tag in one place.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...judice+and+Fear
Standard Ranma/Gold Digger crossover. I liked some parts of it, and other parts are really weird. Ranma is a sorta villain in this one.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...ng+Places%2FEva!
Ranma/Evangelon. Funny at some parts, interesting at others.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...+Journey+to+Red
Ranma/Gold Digger. This one is GOOD. There are very very few that I will give that title too, but this one I would. Its unique in Gold Digger crosses.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...ag=Azeroth+Webs
Ranma/Warcraft/OMGoddess. One of those things that you think will be a trainwreck, but it works.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...-Tailed+Warrior
Ranma/Daria/Forgotten Realms. Features an Amnesiac Ranma, and random hijinks.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...ome+on+a+String
Inuyasha/I have no idea. Kagome as a robot.... Yeah.

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...=Dungeon+Keeper
Ranma/Dungeon Keeper. (I have a branch on here if you keep looking)

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...Master+of+Orion
Black Dragons work. Ranma/SM Funny funny

http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/frec...ma+Saturn-Jurai
Ranma/SM/Tenchi Muyo. Its actually pretty good. The thread it spawned off was a train wreck, but this one is waffy and amusing al at once.

Thats all I can remember off hand. If I can dig up more I will post em here..

The Journey To Red [Ranma/Gold Diggers]
A mostly Matdeception thread (with input from Red Priest of the 17th Order) in which Ranma is stranded on Jade in the past during the time Dr. Diggers is still a mage apprentice. Probably the best Ranma / Gold Diggers cross on the AA.

Bastet Battalion [multi-crossover]
A Mostly Red Priest of the 17th Order (1 episode by Sect) thread in which Bastet, the goddess of cats, forms a sentai team. Ends before it really begins with a series of pointless Lime episodes, bit of a disappointment but the first few episodes are worth the effort.

Ranma 'n Sakura [Ranma/Street Fighter]
A Mostly Disruptor thread where Ranma makes friends with Sakura while she trains for when she next meets Ryu.

Half-Family - Rakshasha Born [Ranma/Gold Diggers]
A T.H. Tiger and Thrythlind thread which continues from "Half-Family" which has all of Ranma's main fiancees related to him. Dies before any worthwhile Gold Diggers interaction.

The Fate of the Sacred Bead [Ranma/?]
An Iridium Heart and Nuclear Death Frog thread. I don't recognize the series that Ranma is crossed over with but I like what I'm seeing thus far.

I'm still trying to find that thread in which Ranma turns out to Mystic from X-men Evolution who had lost his memory when his mutation developed.

This one by any chance?

*shrugs a bit* only one I really remember.

Edit: Forgot to mention that there's both the Malfurion one there, then from the Any other ideas option, Thrall.

Glad to see some more fans of 'The Fate of the Sacred Bead'. I wouldn't be contributing to it if I thought it weren't a story worth helping along.

In my thinking, the fact that there are so few Ranma/Ikkitousen crosses is almost criminal. I can think of exactly one other; also started by Iridium Heart, and with one episode contributed by myself.

Bleach Ranma
Ranma is adopted by Yoruichi after the Neko-ken goes wrong. Thread starts further up the line, splits off from Setsuna's New Life.

Some of the Chained World threads are good. Ranma and Genma end up in a world where slavery is legal. Personal favourites are the SM, Rei, Dr and Ninja ones.

A couple of the Coupled Union threads have been mentioned, I like most of the crossover ones, especially Heavenly Bride, which is Ranma and Skuld.

Elfguest is fun. Ranma rescues a couple of female Drow from a hole in the ground (no, really!) and brings them home. EDIT: Actually, this thread goes in two different directions. One is as above, the other has Ranma rescuing a couple of surface elves along with their party, and then either going home (along with a green dragon) or sticking around on their world.

GojiRanma is also fun. Ranma lands in Spring of Drowned Gojira, execpt he's only four metres tall or so. He then makes his way to Japan and is adopted by Hotaru Tomoe.

Hero of Rokugan (Crab) wasn't bad. Ranma is sent to be an Epic Hero in some tabletop RPG, IIRC. Features Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop (not that she knows that, but anyway...).

Combined Arts originated from the Lust Dust thread. Ranma and Aoyama Motoko get hit with it and end up going to Todo Gakuen, the school from Tenjou Tenge.

Near Heaven also originated from the Lust Dust thread, this time it's Ranma and Morisato Megumi (Keiichi's little sister from A!MG).

New Gods is awesome. Cyric kills Lolth, but Toltiir nicks off with the essence of godhood and makes Ranma the new God of the Drow. Also features Tarre, first seen here; a little way up that thread is where Elfguest actually starts, too.

Orochi Lust is yet another Lust Dust thread, this one is Ranma and Leona Heidern from King of Fighters.

The Pluto's Plague thread has potential, some of the eps are good. Sailor Pluto goes nuts and kills off most of the male population of Earth. Ranma (age 5 or so) and Genma arrive from another dimension while the local Ranma is killed by Pluto after he survives her virus...

Setsuna's Fault/Time Lost isn't bad. Ranma, the Senshi and an unfortunate Tuxedo Kamen are thrown back to 200,000BC.

And of course there are a bunch of Pokegirl threads, if that's your thing... :p

Anything by Cypher is good. Anything by Kneder or Kestral gets old. Red Priest definately became one of the better authors there.

Sounds like Ranma and the Brotherhood by Cypher3au. It is painfully short, but well written.

Cypher3au also hasn't written anything but a single ep on Addventure since 2008-06 but looks to have basicly stopped sometime in 2007-04.

I've got a mirror of Addventure which I scraped and chucked into a local database simply so I could do complete searches for author posts. Saddly it requires a copy of Microsoft SQL server 2005 or 2008 and visual studios 2008 and a C# programmer to use because I've been too lazy to make it userfriendly :p

Note; it is Mystique not Mystic which is probalby why you couldn't find it.

I hesitantly recommend Sightless Spark. It's basically a high school fic starring Ranma based in Negima with bits of everything. It's irritating, though, because KL has a nasty habit of, well, erasing everything and starting from scratch. Repeatedly. This is either the third or fourth version of the same fic.

I really wish he kept the others just for posterity's sake.

Anyways, uncursed Ranma who's more of an ass than usual, forced to go to one of Mahora's schools. In this version, the only crossover characters so far are Konoemon, Takamichi, and Takamachi.

I remember Martial Artists In Spira as a reasonably decent read.

Essentially, a (slightly AU) retelling of the FFX storyline with a few members of the NWC thrown in for good measure.

Was it the one where Ranma, NWC, and the AMG cast along with a ass load of people end up finding there way to the warcraft universe around the time of Warcraft 3?
Oh yeah I think they had spider abilities too.

Edit: never mind its already up, sliped by me.

Fifth version. "meep O.O;" blew a gasket at what he thought was the third time and KL remarked that it was the firth time it took a rewrite.

I really wish he kept the others just for posterity's sake.
I agree with that wish...if only because I wanted to re-read the snippets that were in the comment section that had Ranma fighting a vampire as well as the one where he was a merc that caught the attention of the nobles. Those were interesting.

I didn't think it was all that bad, really. Odd, disturbing in places, but not that bad.
