Let's see... Here is a P3 fic I recomment:

Knotted
A series of events bring them together, pair by pair. Set sporadically throughout the year.

2 chapters so far and it's quite good.

Ok, the zelda talk earlier in the thread reminded me of a story that was on ff.net a while ago. I mean a while ago, at lest 6 years.

Now, In the story, Link is a kid again. At some point he, Nabooru(who is also a kid i think), Zelda, i think an OC girl or two, go traveling. I am sure that Saria doesn't come and neither does Ruto. I have probably forgotten other characters that went with them. Lots of new things.

There were two stories, one the sequel to the other. They had pretty much the same cast. They were pretty damn long and completed, too. The Author at the end of the story said he was going to go write original fics.

I am not sure if Ganondorf was in it. I think the masks from MM were. I faintly recall something with Ganondorf having Majora embedded in his chest but this could probably be a different story altogether.

It was kind of a harem.

Kink was a kid all the way through the story.

I want to read this thing again so badly. Help :(

I don't know about the first one you were talking about Souffle, but the one about Ganondorf having Majora implanted in his chest, did that also involve an OC that hooked up with Nayru? And Link was actually Din's son? And I also think that the Fierce Deity might have been the bad guy for the story, is that right?

Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was called otherwise I would link it for you.

I cannot recall :(

The stories were a pair though, a beginning and a sequel that ended it.

They traveled pretty far and it read like a nice adventure. Another note is that Impa was with them as well and was one of the only adults in their little group i think. I just can't remember it very well and i can't find it on ff.net. To give an idea how old it is, it's from before you could set a story as 'completed'.

I think I might remember that fic Souffle. Were they written by this guy? Bunch of prophecies, OCs, and Link by the end gets into a threeway marriage with Zelda and some Gerudo? If so, he took them down awhile ago, I kinda wanted to reread them too.

Guiding Light, by C_D_Henry.

In the year 1999 the sealing of Death within Arisato Minato was the last option left in order to stop the coming of Nyx. However this action had unexpected side effects that would change the course of fate. Full summery inside, Minato/Mitsuru eventually.

I can say it's the most awesome P3 fic that I saw at FF.

Heh.á You forgot that Zelda/Soul Caliber isn't a cross: it's canon.á

Thank you multiple editions of SCII!
Actually the Zelda fan in my closet tells me to tell you that it might be Soul Calibur canon but it isn't actually considered Zelda canon.
The Legend of Zelda: The Golden Land by Jedi SSJ
What happened to the Hero of Time after MM? This is my take. The Hero of Wind and the Hero of Time meet. And the Fierce Deity is on the loose!
warning it has not been updated in like 4 years
This looks like a pretty good story but I just couldn't read it. It completely and utterly destroys Zelda canon since it seems to go by the old single timeline theory, which has long since been proven wrong by the word of the creator and the plot of Twilight Princess.

Sever All Ties by Vegeta26 (Radiata Stories)
Is a more realistic version of Jack's choice to fallow Ridley and how fighting for the Non humans affects him.

Ascension by Damien (Zelda)
Is in my option a epic telling of what happens to Link after MM.

Hmm, I recall thinking these were pretty good, but it's been awhile since I've last read them. Basically, a retelling of Skies of Arcadia: Legends, with some differences here and there...plus, Aika/Vyse/Fina.

Strange Clothes (First Book - Complete)
Emerald Flame (Second Book - Complete)
Where Loyalties Lie (Third Book - Complete)
A World Unending (Fourth Book - Complete)
Amethyst Lightning (Fifth Book - In Progress)

...hasn't updated for awhile, as I recall...but I think I remember it being at least somewhat good, though, I've changed my mind on things before after rereading them again, so, take that with a grain of salt. Has some citrusy bits.

Ascension had some segments that made my eye twitch but for the most part I did like it.

Also for those who aren't sure, that first fic mentioned is from Radiata Stories. Please label that for next time kay? ;)

EDIT: Thanks.

Another recommendation.

'Continuing Dreams' by CrimsonParagon

A series of Tsukihime one-shots that go over and beyond the various endings of the cast. I found it to be quite enjoyable. The direct link has been withheld due to LEMON content, but it can be found easily enough on fanfiction.net

Mercenaries

By Pied Flycatcher

Summary:
When Cloud Strife is taken to Galbadia, he is forced into a job he swore never to do again. His mission? To assassinate Sorceress Rinoa. Squall won't be pleased about that... VII, VIII crossover.

-----

Guaranteed not to disappoint... I dug this out from the pages and pages of yaoi Cloud buttfucking Sephiroth, and Vincent with Cid... UGH.

But I have it, CLICK IT, and you'll love it.

Okay, for those of us still looking for decent Zelda fics, I've managed to find a few good ones. I think I might have broken in to the extended fic network (i.e. one good writer has a few good stories in his/her favorites, and the authors of those fics have stories in their profiles etc.), so I'll be looking around. Anyway, the fics.

Time Travel, Drag Kings and Why I Hate Hormones, a look at Ocarina if Link acted more like a teen (read: sex on the mind). An excerpt:
ôCome on,ö the guard slinked toward me, smiling. ôItÆs a great honor to be invited to join our tribe, and the invitation is almost never extended towards men. And when it is, wellàö her smile grew wicked, ôthe celebrations last for days.ö

ôC-celebrations?ö I was sure I knew what she meant, but I honestly didnÆt know how to feel about it.

ôOh yes,ö she was very close to me now, close enough to reach out and play with my belt buckle, which she did. ôItÆs a lot of fun, for everyone.ö

I gulped, and the Gerudo cocked her head and looked at me strangely.

ôHow old are you?ö she asked.

ôUm, seventeen,ö physically anyway, I added silently. I was probably only up to fourteen mentally.

ôAnd are you a noble?ö

ôUh, no.ö

ôThen youÆre still considered young, by most people.ö

ôUm, I guess so.ö

The Gerudo leaned close and looked me directly in the eyes. ôAre you a virgin?ö

My eyes grew wide. ôA- a- a-ö

ôYou are! Oh this is fantastic!ö

ôW- what?ö

ôSince youÆre a virgin, it means you havenÆt picked up any bad habits, and probably donÆt have any misconceptions about what women want. Oh this is too, too perfect!ö She clapped her hands and laughed. ôAnd since NabooruÆs gone, she canÆt even claim dibs!ö

ôNabooru?ö I asked.

ôOur leader,ö the guard explained. ôThe one in charge usually gets dibs on any new men, but since sheÆs gone and IÆm second-in-commandàö She grinned wickedly at me. ôCome on, rookie,ö she grabbed me by the belt buckle and led me firmly to the cot in one of the cells. ôLet the training begin.ö

After Lesson One, NabooruÆs second-in-command (I never did catch her name) passed me off to a captain who gave me Lesson Two, who then gave me to a couple of Gerudo guards who gave me Lessons Three, Four and Five.

It went on like that for three days. Now, I enjoyed it, IÆm not going to lie, but I was conflicted. I wanted to get to the desert, find the ægoddess of the sandÆ awaken the sage, kill the monster, kill Ganon, and save the world. I wanted to save Zelda. But the Gerudos wanted to teach me things, things that I desperately wanted to learn.
B)

Next is... a VERY weird one. This is a Zelda MST-alike, using Golden Sun characters as the Zelda cast (also Ocarina BTW. Anyone seeing the pattern?) It's still fun though (despite the EVIL script format), and I recommend it to anyone who can deal with canons and fanons being crossed and mocked at the same time. The Legend of Isaac: Ocarina of the Sun.

Gah... past midnight on my end, I've got a few more to put up later.

Go read. You won't be (very) dissappointed.

EDIT: Edited post slightly. New fic recommendations after work.

EDIT2: Starting to add new recommendations. I promise, these will be serious.

First is Islands and Dreams, a somewhat tragic look at Link's Awakening. I happen to really like this fic; it's one that I read years ago, and just re-read, and it's as insightful as I remember. Marin features heavily. Slight romantic overtures.

Matters of the State is a really, really good political!Hyrule fic. It's long, it's good and it has a fairly interesting premise. Just watch out: it uses Ocarina, Majora's Mask and the Oracles as it's source (i.e. the same Link). It also has a sequel, which seriously screws with the timeline. Go check it out.

Enough is a tragic. angsty one-shot with a happy ending. Link becomes King of Hyrule against his will, and things don't go as he planned, given that he loved Malon. Link and Zelda. Sorry Malon fans.

Points of View is a one-shot collection. It's fun. The one's in Link's perspective are interesting, but I prefer the ones that use the secondary characters.

Just kinda wanted to recommend this P3 fic, called After Many Years.

Kinda sad, but I like it. Also, spoilers for the Journey.

I thought the first half of it was fairly good though it kinda dissolved into a bad soap opera later on. Decently well written. I can think of few better ff7/8 crossovers.

I know it isn't an update thread but I would like to point out that Amethyst Lightning, the fifth book of an ongoing romanization of Sky of Arcadia and one of the best romanization I had the pleasure to read, has just update to chapter 4.

Hunter-Killer360 seem to be losing steam in his writing unfortunately, I cannot shake off the feeling that the quality of that chapter isn't up to his usual level... :(

P3 fic. 10k words one-shot

Nights in Shirakawa
Few things could rattle Minato ArisatoÆs steel-tough nerves. But the odd Velvet room attendantÆs latest ôrequestö had done just that. Suggestive Humor

Check my first post here. I linked "Tales of the Bhaalspawn" which is a VERY long novelization of BGII. Check the authors profile for a pair of short story collections he did. They're pretty good.
