What's recommended reading on writing (good) fanfiction?
(Besides the specific resources and the original source material of whatever fandom.)
Specifically on writing the story. (Plot, 1st - n-th person, character growth, action scenes, 'can't stop reading' element, etc.)
So if you got some recommended reading on writing original stories, that would also be appreciated.
What's the difference between writing original and fan fiction?
(My guess would be on techniques and methods for character and world building within a story.
With the original part having to due most of the work yourself. And the fan part being interpretation of 'canon' and having it fit or change in your story. And if you're doing a crossover explaining on how it works (and what it is). Am I correct, wrong or missing stuff?)
I do request a small summary of whatever you're recommending if its not apparent from the title.
If its a book, title & author please.
If its on the internet, link please?
