Okay, bizarre idea, I freely admit it. Also, very likely an idea that's been done before, crossing FFVII with Ocarina of Time. But if nothing else, I imagine that this is a slightly different way of doing it.
Namely, my idea is that Link screws up the Song of Time (or maybe Zelda screws up when she tries to reset everything), or during the Mask of Majora. ANYWAY, we get to go back a LONG time ago, back to before the three goddesses made Hyrule, where we get to see WHY they had to show up and make Hyrule.
Namely because this time around, Cloud and co. got their collective asses handed to them by the one-winged angel. Followed shortly thereafter by Din, Farore, and Nayru showing up to deal with Jenova and Sephiroth.
Anyway, the idea is that the cast of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask is reincarnated from the Final Fantasy VII cast.
Questions/Ideas/Suggestions?
I do have one request though; Sephiroth can't be anyone's reincarnation. Because frankly I don't see anyone in Zelda having that sort of sheer unstoppable power; I'm leaning more towards the idea that the three goddesses fractured his soul and turned it into the Triforce.
Also, PLEASE don't try to say that Link is Cloud. It's obvious, sure, but frankly I think that Link deserves better.
My current idea so far is just this;
Zelda = Lucrezia Crescent
Impa = Vincent Valentine
Ganondorf = Hojo
Puts a rather weird spin on their original relationships, doesn't it?
